Hello everybody I have two of these EtherCat CiA402 stepper driver from Leadshine: https://www.leadshine.com/product-detail/EM3E-556E.html I want to controll them. I already have implemented them in Codesys with Softmotion. I see the position, the velocity and the status word so I can read everything. See picture 1. But when I want to write something like MC_Power or MC_MoveAbsolut with the SM3_Basic library it wont work and with the MC_Reset POU it shows: "SMC_R_DRIVE_DOESNT_ANSWER". See picture 2. Can somebody help me? Thanks a lot esave

I am rather new to Codesys and I'm trying to figure out how to get the status of an alarm. This to interlock the start of a device until the alarm has been acknowledged... I am not sure if IAlarm.GetState (METH) can be used for this purpose. I have noticed that Codesys doesn't provide option to Export any Visualization objects even though there is option to check to export VISU_TASK, which is strange because when Import in another empty project, user will end up with build errors. I understand that probable reason for this is that PLCOpenXML specification includes only "PLC" parts of the project (POU, PRG, variable lists, device ....), but not sure about it. Perhaps, there is some option to include visu objects also in the plcopen xml export list??

However, we managed to find a solution by downgrading both the "CODESYS Communication" and "CODESYS Recipes" components via the CODESYS Installer, accessible under the "Tools" section.

A bit of work but maybe possible to make your own driver using "CODESYS Control SL Extension Package". Look at the "ExternalIoDrv" example. It is installed in "C:\Program Files\CODESYS 3.5.20.0\CODESYS\CODESYS Control SL Extension Package" when you install the "CODESYS Control for Linux SL".

this is not easily. From Point of SL-Licenses Codesys didnt provide the informations how to do. We created an own CDS-Component for that Behaviour. This Informations are available for OEM, if you are an OEM you can find the Informations in the RTS-Documentation.

Hello Check: on the latest version the location change: If the PLC is started with the "CODESYS Control Win SysTray PLC Control", it runs in the Windows user account "LocalSystem" and therefore the effective working directory is "C:\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Roaming\CODESYS\" or "C:\Windows\SysWOW64\config\systemprofile\AppData\Roaming\CODESYS\". An administrator account is required to access these folders

I had this problem when running the application as a Simulation. When I wrote it to the Pi all worked as expected. If this isn't the case for you, we've seen some issues with sqlite on the Pi's - so reset Origin and re-download may help in that case. Good luck, Mark

Hi if you add in (ttyAMA0 should fit to your HAT's device [SysCom] Linux.Devicefile.1=/dev/ttyAMA0 to /etc/CODESYSControl_Usr.cfg since 4.12.0.0 version /etc/codesyscontrol/CODESYSControl_Usr.cfg then access in CODESYS with Com1 should do it. Keep in mind that only adapters work (for RS485) which do determine the send/receive direction in hardware
