Moin, ich grab mal den alten Thread hier aus, habe das gleiche Vorhaben, Sounds auf dem Raspberry abzuspielen. Habe einen Pi5 mit Codesys Pi 64 SL und benutze auch die SysProcessExecuteCommand sowie die SysProcessExecuteCommand2. Habe das auch schon erfolgreich umgesetzt um Kamerabilder aufzunehmen und Bilder zu kopieren, aber die Sounds funktionieren leider nicht. Wenn ich direkt in der Konsole die Befehle eingebe, werden die Sounds abgespielt, werden diese aber durch Codesys getriggert, wird kein Sound abgespielt. Ich habe bis jetzt - espeak - espeak-vg - aplay - omxplayer versucht. Alle in die CodesysControl_User.cfg eingetragen etc und keine Fehlermeldung beim ausführen. Habe BT Headset und USB Headset getestet, wie gesagt, direkt in der Konsole gehts, durch Codesys nicht. Hat irgend jemand eine Idee woran es liegen könnte?

Hi In the POU section of my project I have created a Fan function block and defined an alarm group template for this FB with one alarm (Motor fault). In the PLC program I define two instances of the fan function block. When going to the alarm configuration and pressing "Create or update alarm instances", I get two alarms listed. So far so good. However, when I start my program and check the alarm table in the visualization I only see one alarm, even if both are active. Am I doing something wrong, or is it not possible to define alarms on a function block level and get one set of alarms per instance of the function block?

Furthermore I "registred" the dll in the CODESYSControl.cfg. However, when I want to use the library I get the error message: Uresolved reference: *'CMPMYADDERADD' * Can you give me a hint what step I missed or where I need to declare the dll, such that the dll resp. the reference can be resolved. Hello everyone, I'm currently using CODESYS v3.5 SP10 on Windows 11, and I've noticed that syntax errors are not automatically underlined in red as they normally should be. Is there a specific setting that needs to be enabled for this feature to work? If so, could you please let me know where to find it? I’ve already tried uninstalling and reinstalling CODESYS, but that didn’t resolve the issue. Also, i have a teammate who have exactly the same computer as me and he didnt encounter any issue. Hello all, I have developed a custom I/O driver in CODESYS that communicates via a Unix Domain Socket. In my DeviceDescription.xml, I have set up the following: <scan supported="true"> <scanfbinstance fbname="IOScanDevice"> The goal is to allow the user to scan for connected I/O modules from the CODESYS GUI ("Scan for Devices") and automatically populate the device tree with detected submodules.</scanfbinstance></scan> The function block IOScanDevice is implemented in the driver library and added to the main device's FB instances. However, when I initiate the scan from the GUI, nothing appears to happen the function is not executed. Is there an example project or driver (open source or from CODESYS Forge) that demonstrates a working custom scan implementation?

Hello I'm currently working on a project where I need to implement visualisation in Codesys on Raspberry Pi via web browser. I'm uing Codesys IDE V. 3.5 and I was able to successfully run my program and visualisation using generic elements provided by Codesys on Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4. However I am dissatisifed by the limiations and looks of generic elements. I would like to create my own components for this specific task (like cyclic buffer with messege boxes or matrix of data structures). How do people develop their own visualisation components in Codesys and how to implement them in a project?

Win+R > services.msc > Look in the list CODESYS Control Win V3 x64 Gateway OR CODESYS Gateway V3 Hook up the M12 code D into the ETH port, supply the controller, it should apperars to you. Make sure when you try to connect with the controller, the target of your project has to match with the controller. Otherwise, click on the device in the devices tree > Communications Settings tab > Device > Options > And disable "Filter Network Scans by Target ID". Good luck.

Hello, I’m developing a program and for some reason I got this error: C0193: Name '2,Recipe #2GVL' is no valid identifier I was creating a combo box and creating a TextList for my recipe. I couldn't find where the error was, until in the combo box properties in the 'Text List' property in the options it gives me to select, I found '2,Recipe #2' to be able to select (I never created a list with this name) and I can't find a way to delete that option or I can't find where that list is. I tried to delete the TextLists, delete the combo box, to clean the project, but the error still there. How can I delete this option (2,Recipe #2)? Or how can I fix this error?** Thank you.

I don't seem to be able to use an axis, which is part of an Axis Group in torque control mode. I call the SMC_SetControllerMode FB to switch from position to torque control mode, followed by the SMC_SetTorque FB to set the desired torque. This works flawlessly for most axes, however if an axis is part of an axis group, switching the controller mode seems to work without any issues, but the desired torque is never set. SMC_SetTorque does not return an error, but fSetTorque of the axis is never changed. Disabling the axis group before does not change anything, but if I use MC_UngroupAllAxes before changing the controller mode, it all works as it should. Is there no way to control a single axis in torque control, if it is part of an axis group?

If anybody finds this in the future, I managed to do it like this: scalingValue := EncoderPulseCountPerRev / ABS(AxisName.fScaleFactor); No need to use MC_ReadParameter as I am able to read this value directly from the axis object. Using an absolute value of the fScaleFactor is there in case the axis is set as inverted, in which case it would be a negative value. I was not able to figure out how to get EncoderPulseCountPerRev programatically, but since all my servos use an encoder with pulse count per revolution of 16#800000, the final equation looks like this: scalingValue := 16#800000 / ABS(AxisName.fScaleFactor);

Which device do you use? Does this have persistent memory (e.g. NVRAM) available? Maybe first ask your PLC vendor about the possibilities and how they advice to use persistent variables? If you have no NVRAM available, CODESYS will store the variables in a file when the device gracefully shuts down. But on an abrupt power failure, this is not possible. If you have no NVRAM and you want to use persistent variables, then consider using a UPS. In this case when the power is lost, the UPS can keep the power on the PLC which then can gracefully shut down. Trying to communicate (from Europe) with/to a unit located in china, the communication seems blocked/stopped. The edge gateway is installed in a linux environment and was possible to link to my Automation server account using the "Automation service tool". However it seems the unit cannot communicate with the Automation server (a Network scan will give the message "Gateway not connected"). (I have tested the eq. setup with units locally which works.) Anyone having experience situation similar to this and if its possible to make this work? Will a VPN be needed possibly? Other tips?

Hello all, I am working in a project in which there are multiple Modbus TCP slaves. I need to be able to change the IP addresses of those devices from the HMI and I was planning to use the process depicted here: https://faq.codesys.com/display/CDSFAQ/Modbus+TCP+Slave%3A+Dynamic+Setting+of+the+IP+Address I can see the port number is what is used to specify which slave device we want to modify the IP address of. This said, can I freely set arbitrary port numbers to each device? I mean, can I set the first device to be at port 502, the second one at port 503... Any drawback or restriction? Is there any other way to reference to the device without having to change the port numbers? Thank you all in advance.

Hi, I'm connecting to a OPC UA Server using the Data Soruce Manager OPC UA Client. This works well until the OPC UA Server updates and the OPC UA list doesn't match up when i did last clicked the "Update variables" to add variables. All the variables are still the exists and none are removed from the server, but more are added during the engineering process. The error message i get in CODESYS is "Error in OPC UA call BadAttributeIdInvalid, Error ID: 268468277". The issues is fixed when i press the "Update variables" button and just press ok without adding or removing any variables in the list. Is there a way to either automatically update the browsepath if it fails or on startup, or to trigger it by code?

Make sure the O->T and T->O bytes required by the remote device match the configuration in Codesys. Most of the EDS files I've imported have not worked by default. See the attached images for the connections and assemblies tabs. Note that the connections are in Bytes and the assemblies are in bits, you have to have enough bits to equal the bytes. Either mismatch will give a red/orange triangle. Page 343 of the manual (assuming the STF10-IP is an applied motion microstep driver) has some recommended connection settings, you should be able to confirm the input and output bits somehow, some devices have a web GUI, some require a software tool.

Dear Forum, We are currently switching to a native Codesys controller, and I'm currently trying to determine the correct license. I have a question regarding the Modbus instances. With the Standard S license this is set to 4 (See picture). In our projects we are using a lot of communications to Modbus servers using a Codesys Controller, for this communication I'm using the ModbusFB library (supplied by 3S) (see picture). In my project I would like to use more than 4 instances of the ClientTCP FB. My question is, is this now capped at 4 possible connections with the standard S license. Or do these function blocks have a different relation with the license? Some clarity on this topic would be very welcome. Thank you in advance

Hallo, ich würde gerne die Variablen, die ich mit Ethernet/IP übertrage gerne in meinem Programm möglichst einfach ansprechen. Ist es möglich die übertragenen Variablen über ein Array direkt anzusprechen? Ich kann zwar die Variablen alle händisch benennen und dann im Programm auf diese zugreifen, aber wenn es viele Variablen sind und ich diese alle der Reihe nach in einer Schleife durchgehen möchte, so ist das schon viel Code der dafür notwendig ist. Bei mir werden die Variablen in Codesys unter dem Ordner (kann man aufklappen) 'Exclusive Owner' angezeigt. Da klingt es doch naheliegend, dass man direkt über den Ordnernamen die Variablen per Indexierung oder ähnliches ansprechen kann. vielen Dank und viele Grüße enginear

Nothing wrong with ladder, in a lot of applications it is simpler than ST or CFC, you're a lot less likely to have syntax issues in a ladder diagram than in structured text as long as you stick with traditional ladder elements. Your attempt was almost valid, but you tried to change the currentvisu variable using a blend of structured text and ladder, which isn't allowed. You need to use the MOVE operator and define the visualization name as a string on the input side and the visuelems.currentvisu as the target on the output side.

Goodmoning everyone, I hope a codesys tecnichian will see this post. I serched on the forum and I found many topic about this tool but very few reaplies. I am tring to use the Web Browser tool, but it doesn't seem to work properly. I put several links in several forms: https://google.com http://google.com/ http://www.google.com http://www.google.com/ http://www.studiojomega.it/ . . . https://192.168.1.101/u-os-app-codesys/application/visualization/webvisu.htm But I obtain always errors; mainly 400 and 404 and in the normal visu this message appears "www.Google.com has refuse the connection". Is the codesys browser able to work as every other browser or has it some limitation? There is some particular precaution to consider when I pass the link to the codesys browser? I am relatively new to Codesys and I'm trying to develop an HMI that displays what mode a particular device is in based on an integer value. I am currently using dynamic texts with a text list which works fine but I am looking for a way to display a particular string (ie 'Unknown') when the index doesn't match any of of the indices in the text list. I can enter 'Unknown' in the text property of the text field element which works as expected but it displays the single quotes on the visualization. How can I escape these quotes to simply display the word Unknown? Thanks!

This... is not very practical for me - as I have a bunch of different classes - it's just doesn't seems to be very practical to define a NULL for each of them... Something like this I use in parameter definitions. For example: VAR_INPUT refVFD_Drive : REFERENCE TO FB_VFD_Drive := GVL_DUMMY.Dummy_VFD; END_VAR I use this to prepare objects for code I don't control: Typycally visualizations - had many troubles with references set on the fly, right before opening a corresponding visualization... And yes, the instance in GVL_Dummy reports itself as "Fake", so it does not influence the actual application at all. Actually this way I could invalidate a reference, just to set it to a "Dummy" instance.

Update: We managed to avoid the warnings by changing the order of initialization by adding an attribute to the GVL with the variables. {attribute 'global_init_slot' := '49989'} The variables are initialized right before the regular GVLs (default GVL slot 49990). Note to Codesys: I see the problem, Codesys needs to initialize the CNC objects before the GVLs so they can be used in the GVL. But then you can't use variables from GVLs in CNC programs. Maybe you could disable the warning in your generated CNC objects? At least a note for a workaround would have been nice.

The way I usally tackle this is by syncing only words (then you are able to use the FB above). If you then want to write a Boolean simply type it like this. Value[1].0 := Bool1; Value[1].1 := Bool2; Value[1].2 := Bool3; Uints have the same number of bits than a INT/WORD so these ones will work as well (they are only represented diffrently). A Real will work but you will loose some infomration in the conversion. If you want to keep the information you can convert 2 words to a float with a function (for example with the IEEE-754 standard) . In this way the syncing to the server is very simple and in the Codesys Program you decide what part of the word you want to use.

Hi there, I'm testing out MQTT from my Wago PLC using JSON object. I have managed to publish this {"Temperature":15.6,"Setpoint":38.0} to my broker. Now I', trying to subscribe to the same message. The result is this: '{"Temperature":15.6,"Setpoint":38.0}95}ê$10šå$04$Nå$08²Ÿå$0B` á$08@šå' First, why do I see 95}ê$10šå$04$Nå$08²Ÿå$0B` á$08@šå' at the end of the message? Second, how Can i sort out this data to use it in my program? I followed a youtube tutorial which gave me the attached result, which works. But I need some other smart way of doing this when the object gets even more data in it. Any help is very appreciated :)

Hallo, ich habe eine Control for Linux SL auf der ich einen TCP Modbus Master anlege, mit dem ich einen Slave auslesen möchte. Das Anlegen funktioniert soweit alles, sobald ich beim ModbusTCPSlaveE/A-Abbild in den Channel eine Variable einfüge, damit ich den Channel auslesen kann, kommt es beim übertragen auf die SPS zu einem Ausnahmefehler. Im Anhang noch eine Bilder der Fehlermeldung und der installierten Lizenzen. CODESYS Version ist V3.5 SP19 Patch 4 Meinem Verständnis nach ist die Modbus Lizenz mit in der Control Standard L inbegriffen und auch in der Lizensierten Softwaremetrik sehe ich keine überschreitung meiner Lizenzbegrenzungen. Daher verstehe ich nicht wieso ich diesen Fehler bekomme und eine auslesung via Modbus nicht möglich ist. Gruß Tim
