I succeed to change the device to PI_SL but still the same problem of the I2C device switching between running and not running. the only difference with your project is that yo use I2C_master device version 4.7.0 and i 4.7.13, for GPIO i also use the 4.7.13 version and you the 4.7.0. Can you send me the older version of the Raspberry PI pheripals library, because i cannot choose lower version then 4.7.10 for the GPIO and I2C_master device

Hello everyone, I encountered a problem in the simulation while working. In a test project we set up a Modbus connection. We wanted to simulate this with test values. The connection also worked, but unfortunately the values are frozen and do not report any “current data”. (Picture attached) Since these are my first points of contact with Codesys and my colleague continues to work elsewhere, I was hoping that someone here might have an idea. Hi everybody We are currently working on a project with an RS232 serial COM interface and using the CAA SerialCOM library. We have it working fine reading and writing data, although we have found an issue we cannot resolve and any suggestions would be helpful. We have noticed that after a while the RS232 stops working. We have tracked this down to the HANDLE hCom keeps increasing and when this reaches 1023 the COM returns an unknown error "5003". Is there a way to reset this hCom reference? Thanks Richard

A got a larger project but this very small example makes it clear. I have a button, and after it's clicked a lamp should flip on and stays on, and when the mouse-button is released it should stay on. When I try that in the PLC_PRG it works, but when I change it to a function block (seet attched demo proj) it isn't. I'm fairly new to PLC programming but are very experienced C# engineer, but this goes above my head...

I have an IPC with 2 ethernet ports and 1 Wi-Fi. I'm using ModbusTCP with the ethernet port named "enp2s0" connected to my remote I/O. This works fine when testing with Python and also works with CODESYS, but CODESYS is only able to scan for the Linux SoftPLC when I turn off the "enp2s0" interface. In other words, I can't get online with the IDE if I want my ModbusTCP comms to run with CODESYS. I'm using a Linux SoftPLC that has the following entry in CODESYSControl.cfg, hoping that this will allow me to connect with "enp1s0" or "wlp3s0", and leave "enp2s0" for field comms, but this seems to only make the source IP of the ModbusTCP comms to be bound to "enp2s0". That last point is the case only if I don't restart the service, but if I do restart the service after changing the config file, the source IP for the ModbusTCP comms then becomes the one for "enp1s0", which is very confusing to me: [SysSocket] Adapter.0.Name="enp2s0" Adapter.0.EnableSetIpAndMask=1 On the device list, I only have "enp2s0" given as the ethernet device that has the ModbusTCP master & slave beneath it, shown in Screenshot 1. On the IPC, I can ping the ModbusTCP client (remote I/O) from "enp2s0", and I've attached a Wireshark capture of running ModbusTCP from the CODESYS runtime as Screenshot 2, 3 & 4 (again, I can't get online when this is running, I have to turn off "enp2s0" to connect even when it's idle and I don't have an active TCP session with my Python tests). Like I explained above, the source IP is "enp1s0", even though the ethernet device on the project is "enp2s0". I was lucky to catch the red message that showed the source IP that makes sense to me (the one for "enp2s0"), but for some reason that connection was reset and I never saw that packet again. I've also tried this with Auto-reconnect both enabled & disabled, for the ModbusTCP Master device. I also have to turn off "enp1s0" and then turn it on, just so that I can have the ModbusTCP comms running from "enp2s0" (which is not intuitive in any way to me, I'd love some help understanding that phenomenon as well) in the weird manner that I've described above. I would be very appreciative if someone can help me figure out this pickle. I'd love to just connect to CODESYS through my Wi-Fi interface and leave my ethernet ports for field comms.

(What ever reason I’ve been told this is “normal”). If I use Device License Read It will successfully read all the licenses correctly. Now the issue is every 2 hours and between 4. For what ever reason the communications seems to end and lock up for about 20 seconds. During this time even if I was logged into the PLC it would kick me off and I’d have to re type the password to enter. Most of the devices can handle this however the RTU flags up a communications failure at the SCADA and is raising alarms every 2 hours and 4 mins. We’ve had multiple people go through the code to check for anything obvious. Does anyone have any ideas?

When using the FileOpenSave dialog and using the Visu_FbFileListProvider FB as an In/Output I could not manage to detect the difference of pressing the "Load" button on the dialog vs. pressing the "Cancel" button. In both cases, the selected file is updated if the dialog is closed when checking using the Visu_FbFileListProvider.GetSelectedFileName() command. How can I prevent reading or writing of a file when the "Cancel" button was pressed?

in the codesyscontrol.cfg or codesyscontrol_user.cfg you have to declare whoch comport-ports from runtime are used. please tell us how the comport is called in linux an post the codesyscontrol.cfg files also write down here, which parameters are used in the python-script and what is parameteized in the modbus-master-comport of your codesys-application. mostly the errors occurs in ine of these areas

Hello, the option to update Rasberry Pi from under the Tools menu is missing in my installation. Currently I have the build 3.15.19.50, along with the Pi package 4.11.0.0. But the same problem is observed even with the latest build and Pi packages. I have tried clean install with both the versions but cannot solve the issue. I never faced this on Windows 10, but now the new PCs are with Windows 11 - this is the only difference. How can I solve this problem?

Though I could not find the nodeset version called 15.09.2021 anywhere online. The opcfoundation repository only goes back to version 1.04.11 2022-03-29. Also wondering how I can generate a custom information model that only refrences the latest version of nodesets?

For example, in the current program the order is as follows. 1. Axis_Z 2. Axis_X 3. Axis_Y Communication Diagram PLC->Drive_Z->Drive_X->Drive_Y When I try to change the order in the program while keeping the communication diagram the same, there is an axis drive mismatch. Dear Forum, I recently updated to the newest Codesys IDE (3.5 SP19 patch 5) The program wouldn't download cause of the amount of OPC-UA server tags (see picture) I'm not planning on using the OPC-UA server and therefore I unchecked the "Support OPC-UA features" checkbox in the symbol configuration. But this didn’t solve the issue of the OPC-UA server exceeding its license. How can I disable the OPC-UA server while still maintaining the symbol configuration. Thank you in advance Alex

OK.. so maybe I miss understood for how the forcing order works. It seems that the force list is applied at the beginning of every task call (I'm assuming this based on what I am seeing). If I force my variable FALSE and then write it TRUE in a task, then it stays TRUE for that task, but then in the next task it will go back to FALSE.

Why will it retain the sum value from the last call? This is how PLC work. Usually variables only get initialized after a download or a reset (i.e. power loss). RETAIN variables are saved in a special kind of RAM and keep their value after a power loss. To initialize variables on every call of your FB use the VAR TEMP block. VAR_TEMP sum : INT; END_VAR

Hello, Despite receiving an activation message after entering the license number, I don’t have any license installed on my gateway. I went to check in /var/opt/codesys/ and there is no License file. Hello, Despite receiving an activation message after entering the license number, I don’t have any license installed on my gateway. I went to check in /var/opt/codesys/ and there is no License file. Thank you Pernockham, I am using Windows SoftPLC and the device is CODESYS Control Win V3 x64. In the above attached example, the file is Linux-based. This is an external add-on file in the CODESYS installer (CODESYS Control for PLCnext SL). I am trying to implement it without this add-on file.

Hello dear colleagues. I have an ESTUN PRONET servo. I'm trying to control via softmotion over the CANopen bus. There is no Ethercat bus in this servo model. In another project,using Ethercat , I controlled four axes. I have problems with ESTUN PRONET servos. A DSP-402 driver mismatch is likely. I would be very grateful for your help in solving this problem.

Hi, I'm using codesys from a while, but I 'm not able to write phyton scripts. I whould like generate a PC txt file with the content of specific GVL codesys table, or better for my scope: a txt file from a STRUCT defined in CODESYS project. Any kind man could help me with some clue? Thanks Fabrizio
