Hallo zusammen, ich habe die Aufgabe ein Kennfeld zu programmieren. Mithilfe des Visualisierungselements Tabelle ist mir dies gelungen (siehe Anhang). In der Inputconfiguration habe ich die Option: Schreiben von Variablen aktiviert, damit der Benutzer die Werte im Kennfeld verändern kann. Beim Testen des Programmes bin ich im (Online-Betrieb, Simulation). Ich verändere die Werte im Kennfeld. Beim Programm-Neustart von CODESYS sind die Veränderungen im Kennfeld nicht mehr da. 1. Kennt jemand einen Ansatz wie ich bspw. den "Datenstand" im Online Betrieb speichern und bei Bedarf öffnen kann oder eine alternative Herangehensweise? "Im Onlinebetrieb speichert CODESYS die Bootapplikation auf dem Zielgerät" 2. Wird dabei eine Bootapplikation vom Code erzeugt welcher im Online-Betrieb sichtbar ist (samt den Veränderungen im Kennfeld) oder wird die Bootapplikation auf Grundlage des Offline-Codes erzeugt? Looking to access a variable at runtime that indicates a user is online to the code. essentially want to use this value to feedback to the user on the HMI. we use turck and bosch rexroth devices if this information helps. I was hoping there was a variable at the application level, or a library that could be used but I was unable to find anything. I know there's a pop up when you try to login/ go online to the code when a user is already logged in, so the system does provide an indication that it knows already online, but has no access to a value from what I can see. Any help is appreciated

You can enable "Sync Producing" in the configuration of the CANopen Manager. Then this manager will send a SYNC message every interval you set. Depending on your PDO configuration, the CAN nodes can send a PDO on every Sync (cyclic-synchronous). If this is not possible, then as alternative you can send a low level CAN message with COB-ID 16#80.

I have a DFRobot RS485 temperature & humidity sensor (SEN0438) connected to my Raspberry Pi via a USB to RS485 adapter. I am able to connect and read the sensor data when running a python code locally. However in Codesys, I encounter this error "A bus error has occurred." and "There was no response in time". Could this be because of Modbus Server Channel and Modbus Server Init configuration on my part? Admittedly I am new to Codesys. To get to this stage, I: 1. added some lines to CODESYSControl_User.cfg 2. added "Modbus_COM" in Codesys and set "Serial Port Configuration" under "General" 3. added "Modbus_Master_COM_Port" in Codesys and checked transmission mode is set to "RTU" 4. added "Modbus_Slave_COM_Port" in Codesys and checked server address is set to 1 (also set 1 in my sensor) 5. added 1 channel and 1 init for "Modbus_Slave_COM_Port" under "Modbus Server Channel" and "Modbus Server Init"

Hi All, Recently I have been experiencing a issue in CodeSys SP16 Patch 3, with a exception which comes up after I have made several online changes. callcallback() iec exception caught cmpid=0x00000002, eventid=0x00010008, after I experience this fault then I receive a error message for any subsequent online change "online change failed, no task gap within 10000ms". To recover either the controller needs a orgin reset, which will allow online edits thereafter until falling back into the loop. I am using a TURCK TX707 product which is controlling robot trajectory, We have hard coded the coordinate data rather than using persistence variables so hence the need to do online changes consistently. I have read on the forum other people have experienced similar issue with the online task gap, but I have no task which have same priority and also monitored the CPU usage and have not seen it go above 13%. Anyones help would be much appreciated, thankyou.

Hello, I've been trying to use EoE for communication between a Windows PC and an M753 drive from Control Technique. Despite following some online guides (https://content.helpme-codesys.com/en/libs/EtherCATStack/4.3.0.0/Ethernet_over_EtherCAT/fld-Ethernet_over_EtherCAT.html) I haven’t had any success. Both are connected to a Debian device where RTE is running: The PC is connected via the Ethernet port. The drive is connected via the EtherCAT port. I'm unable to ping the drive from my Windows PC. Here is my configuration: On Debian: (See attachments 1, 2, 3) enp1s0 = Ethernet port enp2s0 = EtherCAT port tap2 = TAP device IP forwarding and routes are both configured. On Windows: (See attachments 4, 5) On Codesys: (See attachments 6, 7) Version: Windows 11 Debian GNU/Linux 11 Codesys 3.5.17 Control for Linux SL 4.7.0 EtherCAT 4.4.0 With this configuration, I can ping the TAP device, but not the drive (See attachment 8). Could someone explain how to properly configure all these settings? Thank you, GA

Hallo … ich verwende: SoftMotionLight im Positions-Mode Ethercat-Bus Servoverstärker: Metronix BL4104-C . MC_HALT_SML funktioniert nicht zuverlässig (Achse fährt manchmal zu weit oder bis zum Softwareschalter) Ich habe festgestellt, dass intern beim Aufruf von Positions- auf Velocity-Mode umgeschaltet wird - und dann wird wahrscheinlich intern auf Drehzahl 0 abgeregelt. Kennt jemand dieses Problem? – der Wechsel der Betriebsart ja ist nicht verzögerungsfrei! MC_STOP_SML Der Baustein hat keinen Eingangsparameter "Deceleration" Die Achse stoppt und bleibt im Positions-Mode. Aber die Verzögerung ist nicht wie beschrieben: nicht "Objekt 6085h: quick_stop_deceleration" - sondern "Objekt 6084h: profile_deceleration" - aus zuvor aufgerufenem MC_MOVE_ABSOLUTE_SML Ich wäre dankbar für jeden Hinweis Gruß Bernhard

Yes, you can use the CODESYS ControlWin V3 Soft PLC. However, if simulation is enabled on the device this will disable all communication, so you need to turn off simulation to view the visualization in a web browser. In simulation mode, all IO and communication is disabled for standalone testing. In addition, make sure to set the start visualization in the WebVisu object in the application tree. Hi peterned, the start position given in the CNC properties is only used if you use the compile mode OutQueue. With compile mode SMC_CNC_REF, you need to provide the start position in the IEC application. The function block SMC_NCInterpreter has an input piStartPosition. You can initialize it with the output of the forward kinematic transormation FB for your machine. In your case probably SMC_TRAFOF_Gantry2. Best regards, Georg

Good morning, I think that the mode Simulation does not support the Softmotion functionnality because it runs the CODESYS process with normal priority wich is not a good thing for real-time behavior. If you want to test your PLC project, please use a Codesys Control Softmotion (and your computer must have the Ethercat driver installed) or much easier, download your code into the C6 Smart. BR

I now need to make a few changes to the Codesys software, but the Pi is not showing as online in the Automation Server. Internet connection is established, I have remote access to the Pi via RealVNC. Anyone have an idea how I can solve this? Some screenshots added. DE: Ich muss nun ein paar Änderungen an der Codesys-Software vornehmen, aber der Pi wird im Automation Server nicht als online angezeigt. Hello, Up until yesterday (2023/11/20) I was able to connect to the PLC remotely with no issues through Edge Gateway. However, today I can see the Edge Gateway online but I can find the PLC even if I do a network scan. Following the same path as janber0206 @ https://forge.codesys.com/forge/talk/automation_server/thread/e78b11d7e9/, I looked into certificates and found that one of the Trusted publisher certificates has expired earlier today (2023/11/21). Please see image. Questions are: Does it affect the connection to the PLC through Edge Gateway? How do I fix it? Thank you very much in advance!

Dear Sir, We are writing to seek guidance regarding our current situation with the Opto 22 Groov EPIC PR1 PLC system. Over the past year, we have successfully downloaded and implemented logic using Codesys, and the PLC has been operational without issues. However, we now require minor modifications to the logic. Despite attempting to upload the modified logic, we are unable to see the "online change" option, prompting us to consider a direct logic download. Our concern is that during this process, certain digital outputs or analog outputs might momentarily disrupt operations, which is unacceptable given the system's continuous 24x7 operation. We have explored online changes in other PLC systems, but due to the absence of the last downloaded backup, we are unable to proceed confidently.

Dear Forum, I recently updated to the newest Codesys IDE (3.5 SP19 patch 5) The program wouldn't download cause of the amount of OPC-UA server tags (see picture) I'm not planning on using the OPC-UA server and therefore I unchecked the "Support OPC-UA features" checkbox in the symbol configuration. But this didn’t solve the issue of the OPC-UA server exceeding its license. How can I disable the OPC-UA server while still maintaining the symbol configuration. Thank you in advance Alex

Okey, thank you! Do you think it is something in this library, that makes it possible to do the configuration in a PRG? https://content.helpme-codesys.com/en/libs/IODrvEtherCATDriver/Current/IoDrvEtherCAT.html#id1 I think the codesys modbus libraries support configuration and connection to modbus slaves without having to add the slave devices in the device tree. Just do it from function blocks inside the program. I was hoping for something similar with EtherCAT.

If your Control Win is the Modbus "Master" then your configuration should be something like: Modbus_COM (Serial port) - Modbus Master (this is the Control Win SoftPLC actively setting up the communication) - Modbus Slave (this is then your WAGO 750-315) You need to add channels to the Modbus Slave configuration to inform the master which variables to read/write from the Wago module. The way you configured it now, the Control Win is also a slave. PS, don't forget to put the PLC (Control Win) in Run.

Hi I was wondering if there's a pattern I can employ to acheive what you're doing but with a "reference to" and also allowing for online changes? Someone told me that the new beckhoff keeps references safe during online changes but all the documentation I've found suggests that's not the case. The easiest thing is to use fb_init for normal vars and pointers and references can be added in the function body every cycle and this allows for method calls after so far as I can tell.
