Hi bertus, thanks for the additional information. Setting bAbort on a restart is not needed. Calling all FBs starting from the decoder up to checkvelocities with bExecute = FALSE and then giving a new rising edge on bExecute is what should be done. Do you also restart the Interpolator? (I don't think that has anything to do with the issue, but still...) Best regards, Georg

Yep sure, though now that i think of it, its a pi 4. My bad. The whole ordeal was necessary to use the VGA666 adapter. That needs the old graphical system and GPIO directly on the CPU. Edit: Putty on the virtual development machine connects fine. But i did change the login/pw. The account is still a sudo'er so that should be all right. Edit2: Sorry i get a "Comment rate limit exceeded" from the forum. Then i'll add it as edit here. So i have tried the stock raspberry pi image on a different pi5 (truly 5 this time). Packages updated. Standard password. Same symptoms, no runtime deployed and long hang time. It seems that running CODESYS virtualized somehow messes with the deployment?

At the top of the Visualisation Properties View, you can enable the "Advanced" options. This will give you access to more properties than what you currently see. There might be a variable linked to the "advanced" colour property where the fill colour is determined by the value of this variable (dword).

I am trying to create a new proyect using the Raspberry Pi 4.11.0.0 package with Codesys 3.5 SP20, I am able to communicate with the Raspberry and start the runtime application but when I create a new proyect I have these errors. When opening the library manager of the proyect the library of the IoDrvGPIO is used so I dont really know whats happening.

Call 10 FB instances. Connect Motor_1_Fault to the i_xHW_FaultDetected pin of FB 1, Motor_2_Fault to FB 2... By doing this, your FB will be flexible. The programming will be smooth like a perfect Drift Boss, instead of "hitting the wall" because it can't be reused!

Did you test this with the latest version of the CODESYS Visualization add-on? Something that you might want to test is if it works better when you disable the "Support client animation and overlay of native elements". Double-click on the VisualizationManager in your project to find this setting.

Hello forum Does anyone have experience with optimally adjusting the position and size of the visualization elements? For us, the adjustment on the x-axis works in Codesys 3.5 SP20 with (Container.Width - Visu.Width). However, the y-axis is not affected with (Container.Height - Visu.Height). We implemented this according to the example from Codesys "Optimally adjust position and size" and had no success. Thank you very much for your help.

When exporting a Logical Device or Logical Exchange GVL using the native XML export functionality of the CODESYS Script API, I encounter the following error upon re-import: "Error in IEnumeratorOfTWrapper. Current. Could not cast: System.String in System.Char" I am using CODESYS V3.5 SP21 Patch 2. Is there a known solution or workaround for this issue? Notably, importing the same XML file through the CODESYS Engineering IDE's menu import works without error.

There seem to be problems with the latest version of raspberry pi os 64bit (I used the lite version). The codesys control runtime crashes after a few seconds. The same runtime works on the raspberry pi image from 2023-10-10 When starting the runtime from the commandline, i get the following error: ooops... this runtime was build for RASPBERRYPI. Hardware version or firmware version not supported! (and yes, I'm running this on a raspberry pi :-)

Hello, I couldn't figure what/where the issue was, so I deleted everything from automation server and reinstalled the edge gateway and did the process again. It worked for about a month and then it stopped working again. It presents the same symptom, edge gateway is online but I can't connect to the PLC. Any idea of what could be the issue? Thank you!

IEC 61499 is probably something more complex than what you have correctly said so the prospects are interesting but we cannot ignore that it came out almost 20 years ago and has not won many hearts. I started to explore this world with a PLCnext controller because I love these devices based on RT Linux and Codesys is somehow usable with them but I have made little progress and I feel like inside a nutshell in the middle of the sea ;-) Gary's voluminous and precious book is always on my desk...

Is there a way that I can create a variable in a GVL that I can control with logic but a user can not put a force on this variable. I have looked at the access rights but this seems to only limit editing the GVL or POU. This variable will only be assigned a value in one POU but it will be used throughout many other POUs.

Hello All! Having a strange issue. When adding a library, I'm unable to search. Each time a window pops up 'creating the search index' and then has 0 results. I have the same behavior when using the library repository and pressing the 'Find' button. I wonder if there is a way to reset or fix this issue? It is making it very difficult to search and find proper libraries to add to my project. Much appreciated.

INIT, OP, PREOP, etc.. ) I was trying to use the GetDeviceDiagnosisInfo method from the IoConfig_Globals, but there is no info available on the Web with a simple example; does someone have a link to some tutorial or anything else ? Is it possible to use MC_Home without enabling the drive (MC_Power)? On the drive the homing method 35 (Homing on current position) has to be executed. The drive has to stay disabled due to safety. This is explicitly allowed by the drive. Unfortunately MC_Home reports the error SMC_REGULATOR_OR_START_NOT_SET when executed. Are there other options to start homing, if not with MC_Home?

Hi, I have the user situation represented in the image and I would like CustomerAdmin to only be able to modify/add/delete users relating to the CustomerUser group and nothing else. How can I do? It would be enough not to display the users belonging to the SuperAdmin, Technician1 and Technician2 groups and also the related groups in the UserMgmtConfig dialog box. Can anyone help me? I ended up figuring it out It wasn't in my code. It kept taking me to 2 of my visualizations but it wasn't going to anything specific. Figured out it was some arrows that I had made to buttons for a mouse click to go to the other visualizations. I removed the text in the assign box but didn't remove the action "change shown Visualization from the list. If I deleted the images all together, the error went away. That's how I thought to go look at that.
