Hallo zusammen, ich bin über die Arbeit auf ein Problem in der Simulation gestoßen. In einem Test-Projekt haben wir eine Modbus Verbindung aufgebaut. Dies wollten wir mit Test-Werten simulieren. Verbindung hat auch funktioniert, jedoch sind leider die Werte eingfrohren und melden keine "laufenden Daten". (Bild im Anhang) Da es meine ersten Berührungspunkte mit Codesys sind und mein Kollege an anderer Stelle weiter arbeitet, hatte ich gehofft, dass vielleicht hier jemand eine Idee hat. MfG und schon jetzt ein Danke vorweg.

Good morning, mecke96. Exactly the same thing happens to me, although I have not done the part of executing a .py file. It only reads the temperature and the counter, but the other values are zero as in your image "no readings". I have tested the MPU6050 device on an Arduino and it works. Could you tell me if you solved it?

Hello, this error occured frequently over the past couple of weeks. I found out, when adding a webvisu, CODESYS added Visu libraries in the library manager. One of the libraries was the "VisuElemsAlarm" library. In my case it added this one with the version 4.3.0.0. However another library that also contained the "VisuElemsAlarm", used the "VisuElemsAlarm" with the version "4.4.0.0". After changing the Version "4.4.0.0" and uninstalling this version, the error has not occured anymore. Regards, carohe

Hello, I'm trying to configurate a frame. My goal is to have a frame with the symbol of a component. When I press the symbol a dialog screen of my choosing comes up. What variable should be used in the frame configuration, that I can put in the input configuration of my symbol. so that I can chose which dialog screen comes up on my multiply instances of this frame. Hello, I'm using CR711S from IFM and I would like to use the CAA Can Low Level in de Safety part. I already use it on the Standard part and it works properly. I would like to know if there is some restriction on using it on the safepart of the PLC (I tried but my PCL put himself in Stop...) ? Hello Vincent, I don't have 75 channels but it works for me as described above without any problems. There is also a parameter MAX_MODBUS_CHANNELS in the library parameters for the IoDrvModbusTCP module. The default value there is 100. Perhaps you are reaching the limit there? The value can be adjusted accordingly. I assume that this value is not accepted in the input dialogue and therefore the 'fixed' limit value 10 is used.

Hi, When I try to install my codesys program with the new application-based licensing, I have an error "it exceeds the scope of the license agreement. See Device > Licensed Software Metrics" In the Licensed Software Metrics section, I see a code size < 3MB and less than 2700 variables in visualiaztions. I'm using a license "Control Basic L" with "Codesys Visualization L" option, so it should be enough with these metrics. What can I do ?

The generic sensor FB is for controlling the sensor via its cyclic input (PDI) and output (PDO). In this case, ifm raw cyclic input and output data are WORDs (16 bits total) The PDO data from the Buerkert unit are SINT (8 bits) In this case, I would use the unpackword fb from the CAA memory library to unpack the valve feed back value into the appropriate location.

Hi, I tried with another project, using codesys SP20 with the latest visualization installed, I can install the application on my device but it doesn't work I get an exception "invalid license metrics" and the app won't run See attached the metrics in project and allowed by license, and the logs What am I supposed to do ? Everything is in the newest version and the values are lower than allowed and nothing works...

Because this multiple address will produce one reading of a sensor that I am currently using. I have been trying to set an array value to a JSON structure of this form: {"key": [1,2,3,4]} While I have been able to create the key and set its value to an empty array, I've not had any luck in putting any value in that array. objindex:= fb_JBuilder.SetKeyWithArray("Key6", diParentIndex := diRootIndex); objindex2:= fb_JBuilder.SetValue(value:= iValue2, diParentIndex:= objindex); iValue2: ARRAY[0..3] OF INT:= [1,2,3,4]; The two lines of code above produce {"key6": []} . The second line essentially has no effect.

Recipe Manager will load windows explorer view and allow file name to be typed in or existing file selected but will not create a new file or overwrite an existing. Will not create a file in the default folder or even a defined folder like "c:\recipes\" although it does properly navigate to that folder location. I made sure the folder is not read-only. Can't figure out what is missing...

After creating a Function POU, it is not possible to then create an SFC POU. Steps to recreate: * Create a new Function POU. SFC is not allowed for Functions, so SFC does not show in the Implementation language dropdown. * Click Add Object -> POU... Function is selected for Type. * Select Program * SFC is not present in the Implementation language dropdown

Hello, This is an old topic but it might help. This can/should be solved by either of the solution below 1. disabling the "Support client animations and overlay of native elements" option in the visualization Manager (which is handy) 2. disabling the "Hardware acceleration" of the browser. Saw it happening on some clients/PC and on other it works fine with the same webvisu... (Version 3.5.19.20 with visu package 4.4.0.0) Hopefully it will be fixed it in a next release. I haven't tested the 4.5.0.0 visu packages yet. RP,

Disable the setting "Support client animations and overlay of native elements" in the Visu Manager. Activating this setting should also set a compiler define (GENERATE_OVERLAY_VISU). I have this error where the pou doesn't run even for simple programs like contact and a coil if i remove the pou from the task and put another one it works for one run then it stops working again in the photo we can see a contact is on but the coil connected to it is still not on and the device is in run mode I had this issue again and again any help

Hi, Recently I bought a CR710S controller from IFM. I installed Codesys V3.5 SP11 as recommended and all required packages (including the safety packages and the IOWrapper package). However, I can't even open the project template without getting errors related to libraries failing to load (below in the first print screen). Then, clicking ok appears only 2 errors (second print) and when trying to go to simulation and login I get another 2 different errors (third print). I really appreciate any help anyone can provide, I'm completely stuck on this right now.

I think I need to read up on why this happened. I understand that placeholders should point to a particular version for obvious reasons however what has occurred in this instance is different. The example project was released as a "project archive" but it seems to load differently based on what I've got installed in my repositories. I'm going to dig into that tomorrow but any advice is welcome.

OK, I got this to work as shown above in mos89p's comment. What I did: Tools/Update Raspberry Pi. Reloading the runtime seems to have solved the web problem. I can view the visualization on the Pi and laptop using a browser as shown above. Thanks! But Isn't the visualization supposed to take over the screen of the Raspi? When I run visu projects on Windows or Wago, the visualization shows on that device's screen by default.. But this is not happening in this case

Hello, I have been having trouble getting a visualization to show up on the RasPi. I have previously used both WAGO touchscreen and Windows ControlWin and had no trouble. The visu does not show on the Raspi screen on start of the program and attempts to view in a browser both on the Raspi (Chromium) and from my laptop (Brave,Chrome,Firefox) running Codesys development fail. The visu shows correctly in Codesys development when online. (Win 11) The control code that is active is operating correctly. Raspi Codesys runtime is licensed. What am I missing? Thanks!

Hello, I am facing an issue with my Ethernet-based project in Codesys. My product was functioning well until I modified the protocol stack and uploaded it to my device. Here are the details of my problem: Project Setup: I am working on an Ethernet-based project to test my product. The project was running without issues before modifying the protocol stack. Issue: After modifying the protocol stack and uploading it to my device, I am encountering an error in Codesys related to the forward open connections. Error status: connection failure, extended: connection in use or duplicate forward open. According to the Ethernet/IP protocol, there are three forward open connections that need to be established. The first two connections are opening without any issues. The third connection, which is an input-only connection, is causing problems. The error message indicates that the connection is already open. Debugging Attempts: I have extensively debugged the protocol stack and found no issues. The product works well when tested with EIP tools but not with Codesys. Exclusive owner connections are working correctly, and only the input-only connection is problematic. Wireshark Traces: Wireshark traces show that the third connection attempts to open but reports that it is already open. Steps to Reproduce: Modify the protocol stack and upload it to the device. Attempt to establish three forward open connections in Codesys. Observe the error on the third connection (input-only).
