Hello all, I would like to sign my boot application for my Raspberry PI. I generated the X509 Certificate and loaded it to the raspberry. It is successfully displayed as trusted certificate. However, I cannot download and start the Application to the Rasperry, due to a signature mismatch.The error message is rather clear, but I still don’t see how I can fix the issue, since the certificates on the Controller seem to mach the certificate in the user profile. Could you tell me where the error is or which step I am missing. Many thanks and kind regards Andreas

As far as I remember, the Reconfigure functionality doesn't work for Modbus devices. But... Each Modbus device in your device tree has a name. You can set the property "Enable" of this device to FALSE to stop communicating with it. So if one of your Modbus Slave devices name is "MbSlave1" in the device tree, then in your code you can set the Enable to FALSE to let it stop communicating: MbSlave1.Enable := FALSE; Please let us know if this worked on your controller with your application and your CODESYS version. Dear Forum, I’m currently investigating the possibilities of Codesys virtual control (Linux). The research rig consists of a PC (Debian with real time kernel) with a docker server installed on it. The PC is communicating with a Remote I/O and I have to say the performance is great. The process in the container is running (soft) real time. Currently I’m checking if it is possible to replace physical controllers by remote I/O’s and run the Codesys applications on a docker server. If I’m going into this route the reliability of the server is very important (server down, complete installation down), is it possible to make the server redundant without needing 2 separate containers (including licenses), and maintaining the real time behavior? I’m not only expecting direct answers, if you have any idea or thought they are very welcome. Kind regards Alex

I have a problem which I have identified with a device-update from 4.14.0.0 to (4.15.0.0-4.17.0.0) where the newer versions will stop any local access to the internal web page with the browser responding "The requested URL requires authentication". Setting the device back to 4.14.0.0. the web page will respond. Access to web page through Automation server is possible also for the newer version, but not "local" access. Runtime (Codesys control for linux SL) is on 4.17.0.0. I have tried to manipulate settings for 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' '*' always; through nginx (normally a proxy_pass to localhost:8080). Also tested bypassing nginx by accessing 8080 directly with the same result.

I thought I knew what I am doing, but something is missing what? From Device-Communication Settings select from drop down menu "Device" Select entry "Change Runtime Security Policy" Check the "Allow anonymous login" Select "Symbol Configuration" in your application In settings check "Support for OPC UA features" Check some of the values you want in your set Press the build button in the "Symbol Configuration" Press the button "Configure Symbol Rights" Make sure that Anonymous_OPCUAServer has access right to your "default set" From Device-Communication Settings select "Access Rights" in RemoteConnections-OPCUAServer Anonymous_OPCUAServer should be given modify and view rights I suppose. I can connect with UaExpert but I cannot see my Application or browse my values. What is missing?

Dear Forum I have the following config: Codesys_IDE 3.5.20 Codesys_Virtual_Control 4.13 Codesys_License_Server 4.13 I know these are not the newest versions, but in my mind these should work. I have the same problem here. I have the license server installed on the host, and in the docker container(Codesys virtual control) I'm able to ping the license server. In the /conf/codesyscontrol/CODESYSControl_User.cfg I have added the following config: [CmpCodeMeter] EnableNetLicenses=1 LicenseServer.1="ip address of the host" I have tried it via the wbm web-page. I can create new license containers over there, but still no luck. I also have tried to run the docker container with the -s "server_IP" command. I have searched for some tutorial's but I couldn't find it. If anyone has some clue or can give me a push in the right direction it would be very very welcome!

Thank you for your quick response, I have updated to the 4.17.0 (Virtual control and the license server). Now I am able to see the softcontainer from the Codesys IDE. But when I want to activate the license I get the following message: Licensing info not available. The device does not support this service (See picture). I then tried to active it via the WBM service like you suggested. But when I try this is get an error (see picture for error). I also tried to put RTS- in front of the serial number, but when I try this I get an error that the serial number is not correct. I think I'm getting closer, but I'm not there yet.

I figured this out on my own with this logic: usually the Serial port on a Raspberry pi is on /dev/ttyUSB0 then you need to set linux.DeviceFile=/dev/ttyUSB in codesys you then must set com port to 1 so i assumed codesys subtracts 1 from the number and adds this to the filename... (in code it would look like this: var comPort : byte := '1'; linuxDevice : string := '/dev/ttyUSB'; filename : string; end_var filename := concat(linuxDevice, (to_string(comPort-1)); filaname then is /dev/ttyUSB0 RevPi uses ttyRS485 as Serial port so you must remove the last number from the name and set the com port to this number +1 i hope this is understandable ;-)

Hi, Our program incorporates various function blocks and programs written in different languages such as St and SFC. They implement numerous actions and methods using different languages from their function blocks. My question is whether the execution order of function blocks is associated with the programming languages used. I understand that cycle time can be configured in the task configuration, but I'm curious if there is a specific sequence order of execution for function blocks written in different languages. For example, all function blocks in (ST) are executed first, followed by the execution of (SFC). Specifically, when the function is written in (ST) and the action is implemented in (SFC). I modified all function blocks in the main PLC program and configured a task configuration for the main program.

Hi, I don't know if I'm in the right place or if it's even possible... I'm looking for a way to address a Profinet device with Record Read and Write from my own PC. I actually only need very few commands to configure our device. This means setting the MAC address and a serial number. We would like to do this from a C# program. Now we are looking for a library or something similar. Since you can do it from Codesys, I thought there might be a DLL or something similar that you could use for this. As I said, we don't want real-time queries of the cyclic data but only record read/write. Does anyone have any helpful hint? Thanks in advance

i have a problem with Profinet on my project. I'm using Codesys RTE 3.5.19.50. When i download program to controller the ethernet is ok, PN_Controller is ok but every device i'm trying to connect is red with error "DCP no RealStationName". When i'm trying to Scan for Devices on PN_Controller there are no devices found. I have installed Codesys driver CmpEt1000Drv to my network adapter (i'm sure it is right intel pro 1000 model). I have noticed that when i installed codesys driver i'm no longer able to ping this network adapter (i can ping it when intel driver is installed). On my previous projects with runetimes i can ping it even with codesys driver installed. I have also tried to do downgrade of everything to version 3.5.19.20 and it not helped.

Try using an Ethernet/IP scanner instead of an adapter, I'm guessing the 2 devices you're trying to communicate with are adapters, you have to have a scanner somewhere and Codesys should be a scanner. I don't know why you're getting the error, you should be able to use your Ethernet port as an EthernetIP adapter (although I've never had a reason to try,) but it's probably not what you wanted to do, unless you're connecting to another PLC that is a scanner. Good luck configuring the devices you're trying to connect to, it will be a lot easier if you have an .EDS file instead of starting with a generic module, even with an .EDS it can be tricky getting the communication working.

Hello Every one, During testing of OPC UA communication between UA Expert software and the CODESYS SoftPLC on a Linux environment, an observation was made. When the Ethernet cable was disconnected and reconnected with 2-minute intervals, on the 5th attempt, the OPC UA connection failed to establish in UA Expert software. At this juncture, restarting the CODESYS SoftPLC enabled the reestablishment of OPC UA communication. The same result was obtained when testing on a Raspberry Pi SoftPLC. What is the reason behind this phenomenon? and whether there are settings to stop this behavior? Please help. Thanks & Regards.

Thank you very much for your time and replay! Sounds like a good idea. Unfortunately, I have no other option to run the code from the running plc. So, I can’t stop any services. If anyone has the same problem, I've gotten a little closer to understanding it: Sometimes the copied files are empty after the restart. The update code checks if there are any empty files. Before I turn off the device, everything is okay. But after starting, some files are suddenly empty and that cause the problems. I don't know why this happens.

Hallo, nach einer Umrüstung des RPi auf SSD habe ich den RPi neu aufgesetzt. Nach dem Installieren der Runtime (4.11.0.0 raspberry, all) auf den RPi kann ich das Gerät nicht mehr verbinden. Die Fehlermeldung lautet "Das gewählte Zielsystem 'Codesys Control for Raspberry Pi MC SL' stimmt nicht mit dem verbundenen Gerät 'Codesys Control for Raspberry Pi 64SL' überein. ID-Diskrepanz: Ausgewählt=000 0011, Online=0000 0012" Bei der Konfiguration des Laufzeitsystems kann man nur Multicore 64-bit (Aarch64) auswählen. Beim Aktualisieren des Gerätes im Gerätebaum habe ich Raspberry Pi MC SL in der Version 4.11.0.0 ausgewählt. Diese Version habe ich auch ausgewählt, weil nur diese Version für den produktiven Einsatz zugelassen ist. Die codesys Version ist frisch installiert, also 3.5.19.60 Vielen Dank für Ihre Hilfe

Hello, I bought some licenses from CODESYS store. I am trying to install licenses into my device(CODESYS Control for Linux ARM64 SL). But I have a trouble with it. I did it in the following order. Tool -> License Manager Selected Device and Next... Selected Soft container and Next... Select the device and Ok.. And then I always show a message "Licensing info not available. There is no dongle attached to the device." And I tried to click "Install Licenses" button. I saw the message "The value cannot be NULL. Parameter name : continerToLicenses" Could you let me know what I've missed or what I've got wrong?

Hi, I am running Codesys Runtime by purchasing 'Codesys control for raspberry pi MC SL', I am trying to use the Variables from my GVL's. Few of the variables used as a Pushbutton form the Visualization. These 'BOOL' Variable getting unlatched automatically even though there is no write function in the Overall project. All of them are 'Read' functions, at the same time few other BOOL variable behaviors are seems to be fine. I have tried, clean all and download, serval time restarted the hardware. Happy to share any any information. Your input to resolve this issue would be highly appriciated. Version Details: codesyscontrol 4.8.0.0, armhf codesyscontrol based on SDK 3.5.19.0

The bus has some communication fault but I don't know how understand which is the device or the cable that has the trouble. To understand the cause of the problem I would like to read the WKC (Working counter) of the devices (0x0300...0x030C), how is explained in EtherCat documents, but it seems that the read of the counter is disabled. Hallo, nach der Portierung meiner Applikation von Codesys Version 3.5.18 auf 3.5.20 habe ich u.a. folgende Baustelle: Wenn in der Datei /etc/CODESYSControl_User.cfg die Einträge [SysProcess] Command=AllowAll und [CmpWebServerHandlerV3] AllowFileTransferServices=1 ergänzt werden, startet die Webvisu mit einer Login Abfrage. Die Webvisu soll aber (wie bisher auch) ohne Benutzeraktion starten. Den Browser für die Webvisu rufe ich mit dem Eintrag @firefox --kiosk --private-window localhost:8080/webvisu.htm in der autostart Datei auf. Wie kann man die Login-Abfrage wieder loswerden? Die Runtime läuft auf einem RPi mit Kernel Version 6.1.21 (aarch64) Vielen Dank für die Hilfe

I'm trying to determine which Codesys Control license I need, the Control Standard S has all the features I think I'll need, but the code size is limited to 3mb, I created a simple program with only 1 line of ladder logic and a simple visualization with a button and an indicator. When I generate code I get some messages, one indicates that the total allocated memory size for code and data is 2.1mb. Is this metric the correct size of the code? I question the size because it exceeds the allowable code size for the Basic S and Basic M licenses and consumes 2/3 of the available memory for the Basic L or Standard S license. What tool can I use to estimate the size of code as it relates to the runtime license limit?

Good afternoon. I am working with a weidmuller uc20-wl2000 controller, using a codesys license. We made a ladder code to control a process, and it works well, but we want some variables to remain stored even when the controller is turned off. We tried to use retain variables, but at the time of loading the program, when we went offline from the controller, the program was deleted, it did not remain in the controller, and in the same way if we turned off the controller. In addition to this, when we tried to program it again, the program would not stay loaded and began to present errors with the opc-ua communication. What could be causing this problem? How can we maintain the values of the variables without damaging the program or affecting the controller? thank you
