Hi everyone; I'm building a project in which the drag of the mouse over some controls (or the click event) changes the background color of the control items; this change of color is made with an FB that assignes a color code to the background with MUX command based on the value of an enumerator, this part is perfectly working but, when I'm using a touchpanel instead of a web visu (controlled by a mouse) I get into some issues as it seems that the touch operations are not triggering the MouseEnter and MouseLeave properties as it's done with the mouse.... For this reason I'm trying to add a TON to my FB and, if the enum that changes color remains at the same state for more then 3s I'm automatically resetting it to it's "0" so the item gets back the not selected color. Anyhow it looks like the TON function from library is not working in these FB that are instanced in the various visualizations, as instead they do if I create some instances within the POUS. Anyone has ideas of how to make them work?

What we are trying to explain is that, yes CODESYS creates the software, but Epis decides how they implement it on their hardware, which runtime version they use and they decide which functionality they support. So it is always a combination of the two. What CODESYS provides is a runtime with options for e.g. visualization or softmotion. Epis could add this softmotion license as default to their controller, but if they don't then CODESYS provides another option with a single license in a "Wibu CodeMeter" container. Eventhough the feature exists, Epis has to add this "CodeMeter" software on their controller to be able to access the licenses in the container. We don't know if they did this. Then finally it depends on what type of runtime is on this controller and which license Epis is using. So if they have an OEM license (not an application based license), then most likely you will need the Softmotion license (not a number of axis). See https://store.codesys.com/en/codesys-softmotion-sl-bundle.html. But to be sure if this is supported by the Epis controller, you must ask Epis.

The hole setup is made by 3s. So its a comination of one not two. If Epis decide not to support extra licence whats then the funtion of providing an option with a single license ?? So the idee by 3s has a flod. Epis change the system to add the Stick. I send controller inc stick to Epis. On my software i can see the stick. An then you tel me i need a other license to use an license ?? Makes completly no sense. Codesys should be flexible but is not. I tried Delta. But has no HMI and has its own Codesys ?? Why ?? Then i tried Crist. The block there own system by a password. But dont know the password and cant switch it off. At the end the want me to pay for support to solve ther own made problem. So i send it al back. The extra license is adviced by 3s . Now a few month later still no working solution.

I am adding elements of an ARRAY using pointer to access each element inside a FOR loop and the FOR loop does not stop! What is the right way to use pointers in such case?? I have another loop that is not using pointer and it stops but the loop using pointer keep on adding. Hi I am trying to import a custom information model that I created using UA Modeler. I have only added two new methods and two new object types. It is possible to add the information model to the Communication Manager and the two new object types are shown in the Information Model tab. After compiling i get the following error: Communication Manager [Device: PLC Logic: Application]: The information model http://opcfoundation.org/UA/ is required by http://yourorganisation.org/Bsp_3.1/ with a minimal publication date from 15.12.2023 but the device has only a model from 15.09.2021 installed. Probably the information model from 15.09.2021 is missing in the information model repository. The error message does not make sense to me. Should it not be “Probably the information model from 15/12/2023 is missing in the information model repository”? Anyway I have installed the information model from 15/12/2023 but not from 15/09/2021. Which makes the error message even stranger.

Hello, what you are seeing is not strange behavior. The problem is that everyting is happening in the same program cycle. After the variable Stepnumber is changed from 10 to 20 for example then you want the program to wait with the next EQ until the next program cycle. Else every EQ will be be true because in every line the variable Stepnumber is increased. When the program arrives (still in the same cycle) at the line with the timer, the Stepnumber has been increased to 30 in the meantime and the timer will allway be ON because even though the variable is written to 10 in this line in the next cycle it starts with 10 and will be 30 again before reaching the timer in line 8. Not very good at explaining stuff but i hope you get the problem. See screenshot below for an example of one way you could solve this...

I had this code working in a previous version of CoDeSys to read variables from a GVL that were added to the Symbol configuration. The problem now is that when I get the _IBaseTreeNode_Parent, it returns a valid interface, but none of the methods or properties work. If you monitor the _IBaseTreeNode in the watch window, it does show the correct child count. However, it fails at step 30, where the child count incorrectly returns zero. In the image, you can see that the watch window displays the correct value that the property should return. Attached is the full project code. Hi, I wanted to use the Adafruit Hat for the Raspberry and get acquainted with Softmotion using servos for RC models. This did work great with Codesys 3.5.19 Patch 1, but with Patch 4 and 5 i get errors. I suspect changes in the SoftMotion library have broken dependencies in the legacy drivers, might that be true? Thanks for the suggestion, I have tried it eagerly: I have updated all packages to latest version with Codesys Installer and installed newest runtime and gateway on Raspberry Pi. Unfortunately, the error is still there. As soon as I add the SM_Drive_Servo to the device tree, I get the error below when generating the code. Hallo Today I decided to perform an Update on my PFC200 but after the Update the Device was not reachable anymore. I tried reseting to factory reset. Software reset and so on, but nothing helps... In my Router I can see it, I cann SSH into the PFC200 but it is not reachable. Hi! I tried setting up the PLC I'm working with (Beijer GN-9373) to connect to a modbus master running on a laptop. I have an ethernet connection (via USB-C to ethernet) between the laptop and the controller. I have tried following tutorial on how to set this up. I have added an ethernet device with the IP-address of the PLC. Further I added a ModbusTCP_Slave_Device with default settings. I get the error "Failed to open TCP Port: 1" when I try to go online with the PLC. Earlier I tested the exact same set up with the soft PLC from codesys. I can then read/write values correctly with the Modbus master i have running on the laptop. Hope anybody can help me with this, thanks in advance!

Hi There, When using the new ladder editor there is no option for function blocks to Remove uncalled FB call parameters. I also see no update function block. When you double click the function block it no longer opens the function block. I also now get warnings if I insert FB call without a contact in front. Warning is: (Impl)): C0373: Expression or part of it has no effect I take it the new editor must work differently? The only reason for using new ladder editor is the ST execute/block editing is far better, If you have alot of text in the old ST execute the editor window is very small and when online it's even worse. The new ST block seems a lot better Thanks!

I'm getting closer to the error. The combination of STRUCT and ARRAY probably causes the strange behavior. As soon as the ARRAY is followed by a variable, the problem arises. Examples: X: ARRAY[1..2] OF INT; // okay Y: ARRAY[1..2] OF STRUCT; // problem Z: STRUCT; Z.ArrayOfInt[1]; // okay Z.ArrayOfStruct[1].Variable // problem // *update - array of array also causes the error A: ARRAY[1..2] OF ARRAY[1..4] OF BOOL; // problem I can't be the only one who has this problem. Or? Maybe there is a solution. Anyone? Or is it a bug after all?

Hello, Up until yesterday (2023/11/20) I was able to connect to the PLC remotely with no issues through Edge Gateway. However, today I can see the Edge Gateway online but I can find the PLC even if I do a network scan. Following the same path as janber0206 @ https://forge.codesys.com/forge/talk/automation_server/thread/e78b11d7e9/, I looked into certificates and found that one of the Trusted publisher certificates has expired earlier today (2023/11/21). Hi, I have a Linux 64Bit system with a Codesys application running on it. It stops after 2hours and a few minutes, which makes me think something is wrong with the installed license. (in my last timing it stopped after 2h4min, on the codesys website it is stated that runtimes without a license stop after 2h) I installed the license via a USB license dongle that I activated on my workstation with the Codesys IDE a while ago. Now the system is shipped at not accessible physically, only remotely via SSH. So is there a way to check the status of the License of the Codesys runtime when it is running on the system? Running the codesyscontrol script with "status" just tells me that it is running, but does not provide any license information. Best regards
