Hi All, for my robotics application we are building a 2-axis parallel scara using the kin_bipod_rotary kinematics. Codesys implemented limits of [-90°, 90°] according to the documentation: https://content.helpme-codesys.com/en/libs/SM3_Transformation/Current/SM3_Transformation/Function-Blocks/Positioning-Kinematics/Parallel-Systems/Kin_Bipod_Rotary.html Would it be possible to overrule these limits somehow, our mechanical limits are more in the range of [-110°, 135°] In this range we also don't encounter point where singularity is an issue. I ended up figuring it out It wasn't in my code. It kept taking me to 2 of my visualizations but it wasn't going to anything specific. Figured out it was some arrows that I had made to buttons for a mouse click to go to the other visualizations. I removed the text in the assign box but didn't remove the action "change shown Visualization from the list. If I deleted the images all together, the error went away. That's how I thought to go look at that.

Hello, I have a Exor HMI with 2 seperatred ETH interface's. It is Configured as PN Master on ETH interface 1 and the IO's are working, as long as the development PC is connected to the ETH 0 interface. When the PC is disconnected, the PN communication drops and a reconnection is started. I installed the newest device description for Codesys and Firmware for the Panel. The IO Gateway is from Weidmueller What could cause the Problem?

Hi everyone, I am working on a 3 axes Cartesian robot. I take control of all the axes. In the Ethercat connection, the drive sequence is the same as in the program. For example, in the current program the order is as follows. 1. Axis_Z 2. Axis_X 3. Axis_Y Communication Diagram PLC->Drive_Z->Drive_X->Drive_Y When I try to change the order in the program while keeping the communication diagram the same, there is an axis drive mismatch. How can I fix this?

Is there a way to access the variable in the called dialog? Example: Text Field element with PLC_PRG.myVar as Text variable. OnMouseClick configured to write variable with keypad pop-up. OnValueChanged configured to Execute ST RND(PLC_PRG.myVar,2); Rather than change myVar with each copy of this Text Field, is there a way to access whatever the configured text variable is? Generally try to stay away from ST in visu, but was curious regardless.

Hi all, this is my situation : plc weidmuller UC20 WL200 AC target version 4.12.0.0 codesys 3.5.20.0 Actually i'm testing the program without license (2 hours). i'm trying to use the function block ModbusServer. I used it on the past with codesys 3.5.14.40 an it worked. Now not. i can connect (as you see byClientConnctions = 1) but i dont recive a reply from server. Someone can help me?

Hi CODESYS team! It seems Podman for Raspberry Pi 3 is not detected correctly in the latest "Deploy Control SL 4.14.0.0" : Linux/ARMHFv7 unknown container technology. 1) The Communication Tab, device information section shows podman technology as DETECTED. 2) The Runtime Deployment menu message says: "unknown container architecture" 3) The pulldown window under the deployment tab doesn't show the options for ARMHF Virtual Edge SL and ARMHF Virtual Control SL. I hope you can fix this soon and keep up the great work!

Hello at all. After un upgrade of "CODESYS Control for Raspberry Pi MC SL" from v4.7 to v4.9 SysFileOpen function stopped working. I'm not able to read or write files from the PLC application. Before this upgrade all worked fine. Perhaps I'm missing something or I didn't understand how to use placeholders at all. Is there a different syntax to use for "SysFileOpen" in order to use placeholders? Guten Tag, ich hab seit längerem das Problem, dass mein Raspberry Pi4 durch die PLC in Störung geht. Auf dem Raspi läuft eine einfache Software mit OPC UA server, InfluxDB und ein NodeRed-Server. (Und MQTT-Server) Daten werden von der PLC über OPC-UA an NodeRed übergeben. Es kann sein, dass der Raspi 2 Wochen läuft, dann geht die PLC in Stopp. Manchmal nur 2-3 Tage. Ein Neustart über Spannung aus & wieder an schafft Abhilfe. NodeRed wirft extrem viele Fehlermeldungen in kurzer Zeit. Wenn die PLC in Störung ist, kann man sich nicht mal mehr über SSH beim Raspi einloggen. Der Raspi ist aktiv gekühlt und im Normalbetrieb nicht überlastet. Ich hab einige logfiles mit vielen Einträgen die mir nichts sagen, eventuell hat hier jemand eine Idee wie ich dem Problem Herr werden kann :) Der letzte Datenbankeintrag von der SPS war am 11.11.2023 um 5:55:50 Uhr. D.h. danach muss die SPS gestorben sein. Siehe Raspi-Log im Anhang. Das LogFile von Codesys startet leider erst um 11 Uhr, weshalb weiß ich leider nicht. Vielen Dank schonmal

Hello I'm trying to use the DocScripting collection in Codesys. I've made it work on one PC(1) for the 3.5.16.4 version of the script collection. But when I try the same setup on another PC(2), I get an error message: Error loading Python DLL: D:\SCRIPTING\3.5.16.40\python27.dll (error code 14001) My setup on both PC's is thus: 1. Downloaded and installed Python 2. Copied the folder with the scripting collection to C: (because of admin rights) 3. Placed my .library file in the same folder as the scripting collection Only difference is that Python is v3.12.0 on PC1 and v3.12.1 on PC2. I thought maybe it was something with Python, but then I have tried using the scripting collection from 3.5.16.1, and that seems to work. Just not for scripting collection 3.5.16.4. I also can't seem to find any scripting collections on newer versions of Codesys? (e.g. 3.5.19.10) Thanks in advance!

Hi, I have a project currently in development, it has a number of Ethernet/IP devices (18 adapter devices with Codesys as scanner, another scanner device with codesys as adapter). This has been stable whilst on factory floor for several months (though prior to that I did have some Ethernet/IP issues which were resolved by adjusting RPI rates). Today I tried updating to Ethernet /IP 4.6.0 from 4.5.1, subsequent to this I had 2 exceptions in a 2 hour period, I reverted to 4.5.1 and have had no further exceptions. Note I do have a device (Zebra printer) that frequently times out and reconnects, this does not seem to cause any issues in operation and does not cause any exceptions with 4.5.1. I believe the root cause of this is on the Zebra side, however there does not seem to be any adjustment I can make to prevent the time outs. Information from device log is in screenshot attached.

Hi, Communication with the ADS1115 is actually simple. 1. write config 2. write address pointer 3. read conversation register The ADS1115 works like a multiplexer. This means that you do this individually for each channel that you want to read. e.g: Channel 1: write config > write address pointer > read conversation register Channel 2: write config > write address pointer > read conversation register Channel 3: write config > write address pointer > read conversation register Channel 4: write config > write address pointer > read conversation register then you start again from the beginning You can also omit individual channels or read only one. It doesn't matter. I have written the driver so that I can also use it on the TCA9548. The driver is from Stefan Dreyer. In your case, the driver works and communication with the ADS1115 is running. As you can see, the cfgWrong:=FALSE If you could not write or read data, cfgWrong:=TRUE; This means that either something is wrong with your ADS1115 or you have connected something incorrectly. Question: what voltage do you want to measure?

I used the PLCnext Engineer IDE from Phoenix and all Communications where up and running and my PLC program executed successfully. THEN I tried the same PLC Layout with Codesys and Codesys Control for PLCnext. It was not successful and gave me the "Error: Local Bus not Running". I searched the web for answers but was unsuccessful in finding a solution. So I tried to change my configuration and found that the following Modules COULD NOT be recognized by Codesys Control. Hi! Im slowly starting to loose it and i need som help! After a few night of reading up and testing i´m still stuck as a rock and you guys and girls are my last resort for this project. Basic facts; Win 11 Codesys 3.5 SP19 2 + (64-bit) Raspberry pi 4 model b 2 gb Raspian release 11 aarch64 What keeps me up late at night; Username and Password when trying to connect to device and device only beeing connectable for a few seconds. Some of the things I have tried; Username and passord; Credientials from the raspberry Administrator Administrator admin admin Admin Admin administrator administrator Usernames and passwords that I sometimes use (this was a longshot i know, but i was running out of ideas and energy). :) Epand filesystem, activating i2c, spi, 1-wire I can start the gateway and start the runtime. I cant install the edgearm64, arm64 runtime package eventhough I guess i should, i get code [ERROR] Error output: dpkg: error processing archive /tmp/codesysedge_edgearm64_4.8.0.0_arm64.deb (--install): [ERROR] Error output: package architecture (arm64) does not match system (armhf) [ERROR] Error output: Errors were encountered while processing: [ERROR] Error output: /tmp/codesysedge_edgearm64_4.8.0.0_arm64.deb code as a respons. I have tried to Reset Origin Device - no change. I have tried to remove the /etc/CODESYSControl_User.cfg [CmpUserMgr] but i could not find it and i was not sure if i should add it instead but i did not want to mess somthing up. I have tried to create a second gateway with the specific ip if the pi, that did not help. Could it be that i´m currently connected to the pi through WIFI? I can ping the pi and I can connect and control it through VNC. When i scan to select gateway target (scan edge gateway) i find 17-21 devices but can find the pi throug the mac adress. I started of trying to use the "CODESYS Control for Raspberry Pi SL" (I have a license sience earlier) as i read somewhere that this could be used on a Pi4 as well but now i´m trying with the MC SL, no changes, same problem. Right now - gateway version 4.8.0.0 (edgearmHF, armhf), Runtime Package 4.5.0.0 (raspberry, armhf). Any sugestions are very welcome! As mentioned above, theese are some of the things that i have tried/done - but i have been going at this for a while. Best, Martin

I’m currently working on establishing a TLS connection with an MQTT broker using the MQTT Client SL package in CODESYS. While I’ve successfully established communication with the broker without TLS, I'm encountering issues when trying to enable TLS. In the 'MQTT Explorer' application, I can easily upload the server certificate (.crt), client certificate (.crt), and client key (.key). However, in CODESYS, I can’t find a way to upload my client key (.key file). Here's a summary of my current setup: Certificates: I have uploaded both the client and server certificates to the certificate store under the 'Trusted Certificates' folder in the security screen. TLS Context Initialization: Despite setting the _sCommonName as the name of my client certificate, a new self-signed certificate is created and placed within the device’s certificates. I then need to manually move this certificate to the trusted certificates folder. Dear folks, I think I have a rather simple question but I could not find the right answer to my question: I have made with Excel a CSV file where I would like to have some general data regarding my program variables. I have made an program what let me read the file. The string I am currently get is at follows: 'IP_Adres;192.168.45.12$R$NPort_number;2000$R$NCycle_time;43$R$NStart_Standard_IO;20$R$N' Now I want to split the string in multiple part, which I later would connect to the right variable. I expected that the outcome the following was: 'IP_Adres;192.168.45.12$'. However the outcome is: 'IP_Adres;192.168.45.12$R'. I do not understand where the R after the $ sign comes from, because its place is 24 so it would not be added to the part_of the_string[index]. If I hard coded value 24 for the size it gives me the following return: 'IP_Adres;192.168.45.12$R$N'. I would expect everything till the R but the code adds the $N also to the string. I hope someone could explain to my what I am seeing wrong in my point of view? With kind regards, George

I am attempting to place a block and make it an Analog sensor. When I go to change the name like in the instructional video on youtube it does not give me an option to autofill the block with a known configuration. This is a problem I have in Codesys 2.5 and 3.5. Did I mess up the install of the program or need to install a library? Hello and thanks for reply. I not have "Libray Manager" on "Update Device". I not try to open project but i open Codesys and then create a new project and when try to generate code i have the error :/ I notiche a strnge situation. I have two different software on my pc: CODESYS V3.5 SP15 Patch 4 (with this my new program not work but can open and work with some course example); CODESYS V3.5 SP19 Patch 2 (with this my custom program work) Wich version i must be choose? Why i have two different version? Thanks

In my projet I use Softmotion. There are several Softmotion axis (type SM_Drive_Virtual). In the Global Variable List I have an array of pointers to the adress of the Axis. Axis : ARRAY[1..iMaxCntAxes] OF POINTER TO AXIS_REF_SM3 := ADR(AX01_Axis), // [1 ADR(AX02_Axis), // [2] This works, but when compiling I get the message : . Hi, I haven´t noticed you put the comment here. I thing it´s a bit different. What I want is to have detail errors of technology in data type e.g. INT. This variable I would latch to the corresponding error msg but I would like to get it convert to text from the text list and not keep it in INT form. Example. Main error Valve Error: SubErrors 1 - Both sensors 2 - Not retracted in time 3 - Not pulled out in time In HMI Main error + latch SubErrors => "Valve Error: Both sensors" The benefit is that text lists are part of translation and can be easily manipulated. I know I can create whole string msg in PLC but then, it lose advantage of Alarm management. Thanks. M.
