Hello, I am currently scaling 4-20mA signals and the scaled output (temperature) has to be sent via modbus protocol to a tool like doctor modbus or modbus poll. I have defined my inputs as real as and the output is also real, but to send this output via modbus it has to be of word. So how will i convert real into word and then send the generated output via modbus?

Aber wenn es um die praktische Umsetzung geht, und man damit die Aufgabe "schicke Daten von A nach B" lösen möchte, trifft man unvermutet auf den Endgegner. I am attempting to install CODESYS 3.5.22.20 and the installer gets stuck at "Install Package CODESYS Compatibility Package 3.5.17.20" every single time. I've tried reinstalling the software multiple times and the same issue persists. I've tried running the installer as an administrator and even turned off my virus protection and the same issue persists. I've attached a photo for reference. Has anyone run into this issue before or have any idea what I can do to complete the install?

Updated the Codesys Safety SIL2 package from v3.5.18.1 to v3.5.22.10 Codesys Version 64 3.5.18.0 After the update the assignment of variables from different VarGlobal lists was unstable. Selecting one group could cause another group to be deselected after code generation. I was unable to perform a compilation were all variables maintained the selection after code generation. Rolled back to the older version and the issue seem to be mostly solved.

I'm not sure what you are trying to do, but getting the CurrentUserGroupID like this will not work, because there could be multiple Visualization Clients and each can have a different user that is logged in. Also when you go online with CODESYS and open an Visualization, this is counted as a client. Probably this is the reason you see it changing. What you can to is "iterate" over all clients and then see which user is logged in on which visualization Client. For this you need to add the Visu Utils library to the project and call the FbIterateClients. Hallo zusammen, hi all, ich habe den gleichen Fehler. Auf einem Raspberry Pi geht der Fehler weg, wenn ich alles bereinige und dann vollständig übersetze. Wenn das Projekt im Codesys Development System wieder neu geladen wird ist der Fehler aber wieder da. Mit eine Win V3 x64 PLC kann ich den Fehler nur unterbinden wenn ich auf der HMI das VUM_Login einbinde. Dieses brauche ich aber nicht, da ich die HMI für das User Management selbst gestaltet habe. Das funktioniert auch. I have the same error. On a Raspberry Pi the error goes away if I clean everything and then compile completely. When the project is reloaded in the Codesys Development System, the error returns. With a Win V3 x64 PLC I can only prevent the error if I integrate the VUM_Login on the HMI. But I don't need this because I designed the HMI for user management myself. That works too. Anyone have an idea to fix this problem. Many thanks

Hi everybody, I've been facing problems with the PDF visualization in Web Browser. I am trying to open a pdf file called 'sample.pdf' which I manually saved inside PlcLogic/visu folder. I am setting the web browser URL as: 'http://127.0.0.1:8080/sample.pdf' but I get 'refused connection'. I got a similar error trying to open https sites and I discovered that I can only open http websites. Opening 'http://de.wikipedia.org' everything works fine. I also tried to check using code whether the sample.pdf is present in the directory. Unfortunately, when I try to read directories of 'PlcLogic' I get file FILE_OPERATION_DENIED (I am using File.DirList). I would like to be able to open PDF files in web browser. Possibly to move new PDF files in the folder as my customer wants to display different pdf manuals on the hmi. Here you find some screenshots and my .project. I am using Codesys 3.5.19.70. Hi, I have successfully deployed "Virtual Control SL" on a few x86/64 machines now. However, I'd now like to deploy this to a Raspberry Pi (ARM64). To do this I prepared the Raspberry Pi5 with the following prereq's; * Minimal PREEMPT Debian * Latest Bootfirmware * full SSH access via non-root account * Podman * RedHat Cockpit with CODESYS LicensServer plugin up and running However, I can't seem to resolve copying the correct (deploy) Images as they wont show up in the CODESYS IDE I have added CODESYS Virtual Control for Linux SL and the CODESYS LicenseServer for Linux SL via the CODESYS installer on my DevBox. I open CODESYS > Tools > Deploy Control SL Next I enter the SSH targets IP and Credentials and for my RPi5 and it shows "Connected". In the next tab, Deployment, the dropdown box only shows one (1) image, which also is the incorrect CPU architecture. Only Virtual Control AMDx64 shows up (!?) while I expect to see the ARM64 based images for both Edge and Control. Has someone encountered this too? Issue: When attempting to use this method in the Web Browser of the Visualization toolbox, the content does not display as expected. Request: I seek guidance on how to resolve this issue so that the Web Browser in the Visualization toolbox correctly interprets and displays the data URI content. Hello I'm trying to use DirOpen to access a directory where then I can read/list the files inside. But I can't list any files because DirOpen.xError is always true. In eError the message is this: " ERROR_UNKNOWN Local library error ID (0: no error; 5101: time out)**** " I have in the file explorer the path 'C:\CodesysTest\Aluminium' and to make sure I also created in the plc a folder to 'prj/Recipes/Aluminium'. I tried using the different paths, but in both it happens the same thing.Inside the folder Aluminium there is two csv files, that I want to list. I added in the library manager CAA Files and CAA Types. I am using the example of https://content.helpme-codesys.com/en/libs/CAA%20File/Current/Examples.html#directory but not matter what I do, I can't get the list the names of the files. What am I missing?

Noob alert! I’m just getting my feet wet with CODESYS. I have a “Hello World” project in the CODESYS IDE. I’m using the Win SoftPLC on the same computer. I’ve added a Communication Manager under the Application node. Under that is “OPC UA Server -> IEC Symbol Publishing 01”. I also added “OPC_UA_Symbols -> Information Model”. I’m not sure I need the second thing. I was grasping at straws. I also set up several dummy symbols in the IEC Symbol Publishing 01 node. In my C# application, I am trying to get an instance of EndpointDescription from CoreClientUtils.SelectEndpoint(“opc.tcp://localhost:1217/Gateway-1”, useSecurity: false, 15000). I wasn’t sure about the “Gateway-1”. I found that in the CODESYS IDE under the project -> Communication Settings. When I execute the previous method call in C#, I get: “BadSecureChannelClosed”. I have no idea what that means. Any pointers to documentation are welcome.
