Hello, I have a simple TON timer. It is watching prime loss for a pump. The operator can set the delay via the HMI, it is an integer (seconds) As the TON uses milliseconds, we then multiply the entry by 1000 to get seconds. Seems simple, but... VAR PrimeTimer : TON; primetime : INT; END_VAR PrimeTimer(in:=State>0 AND FlowRate<MinimumFlow,pt:=INT_TO_TIME(primetime *1000)); For an entered 15 seconds (VAR primetime:=15;) the timer reads 49d17h2m26s760ms !!!! What am I doing wrong?

I got the shared memory example. I'm pretty sure I'm successfully created a memory space, CreateResult returns 18. szName:='CodesysDataShare'; hShm := SysSharedMemoryCreate(szName, 0, ADR(uxiSize), ADR(CreateResult)); I'm trying to access this memory with a C# application, but I get "Unable to Find Specified File". I suspect that Codesys and/or Visual Studio code alters the name I choose? Hi, thank you for replying. Basically, I have a main visu with frame selection. So, under some condition the frame will switch to a specific frame. It used to be controlled by variable using "Switch frame variable". However, I realise it will change all the HMI screen at one time. So I removed the variable, and still looking for a solution to do that. Do you have any idea?

I'm getting this error on one of my projects. Searching for it I came across this https://www.codesys.com/fileadmin/data/Images/System/Releaseinformation/Patch-Note-CODESYS-Visualization-4300.html which says it was a bug VIS-1394, fixed in Visualization 4.3.0.0. I'm using a previous visu version, what is the cause of this error, and what can be done to work around it?

Try using a password instead of a public key to log into the controller. It's good that you've found a workaround. But it's bad that you need one. The array length auf my struct is 16. My struct also contains other arrays of structs. It contains a total of 1716 variables. I have tested saving and loading extensively under version 4.3.0.0. It looks good. I couldn’t find any problems. Maybe it helps to reinstall the update (see previous post). Otherwise you could try my test project (first post). This should work with version 4.3.0.0.

You should ask IFM to provide you with the correct version of their controller packages. Then after you have installed this, you can select the correct version of the controller by right clicking on it in the device tree, update device, enable the option "Display all versions" and then select the version which matches your controller. Alternatively you can ask IFM to provide an update package which can update the runtime version on your controller to 3.2.0.0.

OK.. so maybe I miss understood for how the forcing order works. It seems that the force list is applied at the beginning of every task call (I'm assuming this based on what I am seeing). If I force my variable FALSE and then write it TRUE in a task, then it stays TRUE for that task, but then in the next task it will go back to FALSE.

okay, no ideas. So i made a new fresh image for the raspberry, so far,so good. Licensing the new image was no problem. And, after having trouble while read write files on the raspberry pi, i found the solution for these file operations with the Variable ForceIecFilePath in the CODESYSControl.cfg file. Do you think it is something in this library, that makes it possible to do the configuration in a PRG? https://content.helpme-codesys.com/en/libs/IODrvEtherCATDriver/Current/IoDrvEtherCAT.html#id1 I think the codesys modbus libraries support configuration and connection to modbus slaves without having to add the slave devices in the device tree. Just do it from function blocks inside the program. I was hoping for something similar with EtherCAT.

Hi, When I try to install my codesys program with the new application-based licensing, I have an error "it exceeds the scope of the license agreement. See Device > Licensed Software Metrics" In the Licensed Software Metrics section, I see a code size < 3MB and less than 2700 variables in visualiaztions. I'm using a license "Control Basic L" with "Codesys Visualization L" option, so it should be enough with these metrics. What can I do ?

Why will it retain the sum value from the last call? This is how PLC work. Usually variables only get initialized after a download or a reset (i.e. power loss). RETAIN variables are saved in a special kind of RAM and keep their value after a power loss. To initialize variables on every call of your FB use the VAR TEMP block. VAR_TEMP sum : INT; END_VAR

Hi, I would like to automate opening some specific pous and visualisations in the codesys environment I found out that I can open it by using : system.commands["42f6acb9-bd6e-42e7-94bb-6e2a03973b83"].execute() But the POU has to be selected in the Devices or POUs navigator. Does anyone know how I can select a specific POU in the navigator? Or how I can open a specific POU? I can retreive the guid of the POU. Thx

When trying to move my axis using any group move instruction I get the following error: SMC_CP_INVALID_PATH_ELEM and axisgroup goes into errorstop state. I tested my methods thoroughly which makes it hard for me to debug. Are there some hidden rules I need to abide to? How would one go about debugging a custom robotics model, since the information inside isn't accesible. Is it possible to find the source of where the function breaks? Hello, I'm new here so if I do something wrong please bare with me. I am using raspberry pi touchscreen made by comfile (CPi-C070WR4C). I also have a window 11 pc where I would like to have a second visualisation, but when I run a TargetVisu with it, all elements of the visualisation end up in the top left corner stacked on top of each other. I have same results running targetVisu on my laptop. Maybe someone had same issues and know the solution? Simas

All Sensors from the OneWire Master are assigned already to a seperate task with low prio (26) that runs with 1s cycle time. My EtherCat Task is running with Prio 1. It all works fine, until I adjust the CODESYScontrol.cfg or the CODESYScontrol_Usr.cfg files so that it supports a 2nd OneWire Master in the Codeys Runtime. If I change something in this config file and reboot my EtherCat Master stops working.

Let's say I have a CODESYS controller (PLC) with a runtime version around 3.5.19. If I use development software version 3.5.21.40 or a later version that will be released in the future for programming, could there be any problems or malfunctions in the controller's program execution or in the execution of the new, updated function blocks from the newer software? I mostly work with servo-based motion applications, so please keep that in mind when answering, and provide a detailed answer so I don't have to email you again about this topic.

The help link appears to be broken. When I implemented something similar I had to add {attribute 'reflection} above the declaration of the FB with {attribute 'instance-path'} above the string VAR that would contain the path. Then wrote a function to trim off however much I wanted removed by searching for periods, then formatting it with spaces at the periods and removing brackets on arrays while also breaking up the PascalCase to present it a bit nicer for the end-users.

It is most likely related to the existing alarm log files in the Control Win. Depending on how you start up the Control Win, you can find the files in: C:\Users\<user name="">\AppData\Roaming\CODESYS\CODESYSControlWinV3x64\<unique id="">\PlcLogic\alarms\ Or C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Roaming\CODESYS\CODESYSControlWinV3x64\<unique id="">\PlcLogic\alarms\</unique></unique></user> Delete the files in this folder, download your project again and start the application. PS, if you have an older version of CODESYS, the files are in: C:\ProgramData\CODESYS\CODESYSControlWinV3x64\<unique id="">\PlcLogic\alarms</unique>
