Hi @eschwellinger How does the persistent manager files work on v20? I would Like to upgrade my v19 as I'm still having issues. Sometimes if there is a power cut CodeSys won't load the Persistence Manager files and I have to redownload to the PLC and then copy my backup persistent files and then start the application. I hope it's a lot more robust in v20

Hello, I'm using th IDE Combivis studio 6 (codesys based) and I get an error message when I use IO-link. "The license is missing or invalid. The API is running in demo mode." However the package Manager indicates that no licence is required. It used to work, it seems that the free package has become a paying one. Can Codeys confirm this? BR

There are examples installed when you install codesys. they are located in C:\Program Files\CODESYS 3.5.19.50\CODESYS\CODESYS SoftMotion\Examples The examples won't be specific to your drive, though you haven't specified the exact drive. After you add the device to the ethercat master you can click on it and set pdo etc

Hi Reinier, I'm wondering if you managed to get this FB to work? I was just trying it, and found it not to work, I get an EMCY message in the CodeSys program under the Device Status, but the FB doesn't pick up any EMCY messages from the Bus. Cheers.

Did you test this with the latest version of the CODESYS Visualization add-on? Something that you might want to test is if it works better when you disable the "Support client animation and overlay of native elements". Double-click on the VisualizationManager in your project to find this setting.

Codesys - SMC_ERROR SMC_CGR_INVALID_POSPERIOD - Invalid modulo period less than or equal to zero or greater than half the bus bandwidth. Has anyone seen this error and actually understands what it means and how to get rid of it? I tried to work around it by reducing the number of increments on the drive but then the drive itself starts throwing errors.

I am trying to use Codesys to connect by Modbus RTU to an Arduino UNO, I add the Modbus COM Port but when I try to add the master and the slave I don't have these options, I attach an image of the device manager. I am using Codesys 3.5 SP21.

I ran into a similar issue, albeit not the exact same conditions nor the same file if I recall correctly. As a workaround I have used an elevated account to give my regular user account write access to the specific directory where the failure occurred. It is not pretty and I am not happy with it. It does work.

tried this with SP22 P1 and I see no issues related to this. Can install the updated library in the repository, automatically get a message in my project that a new version is loaded and when I login, get a message to do an online change and see the new behaviour of the changes in my library.

Hello I'm trying to get Codesys onto a 'Secure' edge device (Linux) The device doesn't support 'sudo' so the connection doesn't complete properly. Is this the same as not allowing root access? Anyway, the screen shot shows where I am. What options do I have?

This "FB_Init" error has become very annoying lately. It's usually related to webvisu and is resolved by deleting all objects and related libraries. Of course, you need to re-add the deleted objects. Lately, we've generally been managing by not upgrading, but this problem persists in every version since SP20 and should be resolved. I updated a project from SP 19 to SP 21 and found 116 similar errors. CFC (page oriented) editor does vertical scroll by mousewheel and zoom by ctrl + mousewheel, allright. How do I do the horizontal scroll (pan) using the mousewheel? (I do not want to drag the scrollbar, I am sure you have guessed by now.)

I solved it by creating a new element of IElement according to the ElementExample (MyElement) in the ElementCollectionsExamples project. The variables in this element can then be defined in any properties as needed.
