Post by davidbo on RPI can system operation like rm in a shell have an impact on a Task cycle time CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
CODESYS Control for Raspberry Pi MC SL v4.4.0.0 CANopen_Manager 4.2.0.0 I did not call rm directly from my TASK-i2c, it was trough the attached python script. It is not always a problem happens, but sometimes a rm takes a long time. I reduced the amount of calls to logi2c.py but I don't understand why TASK-i2c sometimes can cause problems for TASK-CAN

Post by jwhaley on C0007 Errors CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
I ended up figuring it out It wasn't in my code. It kept taking me to 2 of my visualizations but it wasn't going to anything specific. Figured out it was some arrows that I had made to buttons for a mouse click to go to the other visualizations. I removed the text in the assign box but didn't remove the action "change shown Visualization from the list. If I deleted the images all together, the error went away. That's how I thought to go look at that.

Post by ricardoteles97 on Trends Error: TrendStorageAccess: prvCheckForSizeLimit CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Hello, I currently have my trend configured with a maximum size limit of 5MB (additional settings can be seen in the attached image). However, I am encountering an error related to this trend, specifically within the TrendStorageAccess library. The device log shows the following message: TrendStorageAccess: prvCheckForSizeLimit (see the attached image for details). Does anyone know the reason for this error? Additionally, where can I find more information to troubleshoot this issue? Thanks in advance!

Post by mtnkyr on Ethercat Master CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Hi everyone, I am working on a 3 axes Cartesian robot. I take control of all the axes. In the Ethercat connection, the drive sequence is the same as in the program. For example, in the current program the order is as follows. 1. Axis_Z 2. Axis_X 3. Axis_Y Communication Diagram PLC->Drive_Z->Drive_X->Drive_Y When I try to change the order in the program while keeping the communication diagram the same, there is an axis drive mismatch. How can I fix this?

Post by cillian on Error when opening HTML5Control Editor CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Hello, I am new to this forum so apologies if this is posted in the incorrect area. I am getting an error when trying to open the HTML5 Control Editor - this was working fine previous days. I am using Codesys V3.5 SP20 Patch 3. I have reinstalled the application. Below is a screenshot of what shows when I attempt to open HTML5 Control Editor. Would anyone know the solution to rectifying this problem? Thanks in advance. Edit: This is now fixed.

Post by winki on Modbus TCP & RTU with Control for Linux SL CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
For small project, I would like to use my industrial computer as a PLC + Industrial Computer. Like that I can save the cost of one PLC. That why I am using Codesys on Linux. With the nic it is not working. I already set the IP adress with /etc/network/interfaces. Can it comes from there ? looking to "Control Linux SL" docuemntation it should work with rtu.

Post by durallymax on Access Variable Visu Dialog CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Is there a way to access the variable in the called dialog? Example: Text Field element with PLC_PRG.myVar as Text variable. OnMouseClick configured to write variable with keypad pop-up. OnValueChanged configured to Execute ST RND(PLC_PRG.myVar,2); Rather than change myVar with each copy of this Text Field, is there a way to access whatever the configured text variable is? Generally try to stay away from ST in visu, but was curious regardless.

Post by micik on PLCOpenXML Export/Import with Visualisation CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
I have noticed that Codesys doesn't provide option to Export any Visualization objects even though there is option to check to export VISU_TASK, which is strange because when Import in another empty project, user will end up with build errors. I understand that probable reason for this is that PLCOpenXML specification includes only "PLC" parts of the project (POU, PRG, variable lists, device ....), but not sure about it. Perhaps, there is some option to include visu objects also in the plcopen xml export list??

Post by trusty-squire on How can you get the active frame index from a frame CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
If you are switching a frame based on the "Switch Frame Variable", then just use a variable that is accessible to your program to set your active frame. If you're trying to see which is the active visualization, then use the "CurrentVisu" variable. Note you'll need to enable this by checking it on in the Visualization Manager settings. If it's neither of those, you'll need to be more clear on how you're project is set up.

Post by trusty-squire on AXIS Rollover CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
In that case, the best thing to do might be to track the offset in a separate variable of your logic, then when you provide target positions, make your target position use the tracked offset as below: ActualTargetPosition := (TargetPosition + MyOffset) MOD 360; Although, upon further reflection, you'll still have the same cycle time issues. You might be able to break your code into multiple tasks to reduce the cycle time, or use an Event task to capture the offset position?

Post by simone on Preferred way of managing Ip-adress/es for linux (debian) host? CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Hi pernockham, I think you should ask your device vendor. For some time I used one from an Italian company where they had made a library where you can manage the ip with a function (something like SetIPAddr...), it was based on connmann on linux. From my little experience is better to use the "default" way, so for me is to manage the config file on interfaces or use the ip addr utility

Post by imdatatas on TO_STRING operator not working for IMPLICIT ENUM CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Hi Everyone, It is a very useful feature to be able to obtain the enum value as a string with the TO_STRING operator by defining {attribute 'to_string'}. However, unfortunately the same function does not work for IMPLICIT ENUMs. I hope that {attribute 'to_string'} behavior can also work for Implicit Enumeration data types in one of the upcoming Codesys versions. https://content.helpme-codesys.com/en/CODESYS%20Development%20System/_cds_pragma_attribute_to_string.html https://content.helpme-codesys.com/en/CODESYS%20Development%20System/_cds_datatype_implicit_enumeration.html Best regards, Imdat

Thats is: The dynamic limits for the movement are invalid. What can i do that this error go away? I saw a view funcitons with limit dymanics but i don't now how they work. If i use the function MC_MoveLinearAbsolute than i have no error. Does anyone know how i fix this?

When a G75 command is received in a SoftMotion+CNC project, SMC_NCInterpreter does not generate any error commands, but the command does not continue execution! There is information about SMC_NCDecoder in the documentation of the G75 command. Is this command only supported by SMC_NCDecoder? Can the G75 command be used with SMC_NCInterpreter? Hello, I’m using CODESYS V3.5 SP18. When I try to use SMC_ReadNCFile2 to read the file /PlcLogic/gcode.nc, the function block's bBusy output remains TRUE indefinitely. The value of strFileName is 'gcode.nc'. fbReadFile( bExecute := bExecute, sFileName := strFileName, bAbort := bCycleStop, fDefaultVel := RetainVariables.xSlowVelocity, fDefaultAccel := RetainVariables.xAcc, fDefaultDecel := RetainVariables.xDec, b3DMode := TRUE, bParenthesesAsComments := TRUE, fDefaultVelFF := RetainVariables.xFastVelocity, fDefaultAccelFF := RetainVariables.xAcc, fDefaultDecelFF := RetainVariables.xDec, ErrorID => gCNC.eErrorId, errorPos => gCNC.eErrorPos, ErrorProgramName => gCNC.eErrorProgName, bBusy => bReadFileBusy, sentences => sentencesss ); Thanks in advance for your help.

Post by imdatatas on Use MC_Home without enabling the drive for homing method 35 CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Hello, As far as I know, no matter which home mode is selected, the axis must be in Standstill mode to run MC_Home according to PLCopen state machine. However, if the function you want can already be done from a parameter in the driver of the vendor you are using, you can try to perform the same function by sending the required value to that parameter via communication with the SDO write command. Hi, I have rpi with CANFD MCP2518FD. Classic can communication is working OK but when I try open in CANFD hDriver := CL2.FdDriverOpenH(usiNetId := 0, uiNominalBaudrate := 500, uiDataBaudrate := 0, xSupport29Bits := FALSE, ctMessages := 100, peError := ADR(eError) error is returned with value 10226 which is not documented (https://content.helpme-codesys.com/en/libs/CAA%20Can%20Low%20Level%20Extern/Current/CAN-Low-Level/Enums/ERROR.html#error) CAA CanL2 is 3.5.21 version. Question is: 1. Is anyone get CANFD working? 2. What is meaning of this value (10226)? Regards, Pawel
