Post by scrisp on Source code changes since last download CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Why does CODESYS 3.5 show the message “Source code changes since last download” even though I did not create or modify any new variables? When I go online with the PLC, it detects changes and suggests synchronizing, but nothing was actually changed in the project. What could cause this and how can I fix it?

Post by ellcap on Symbol Configuration, I'm doing it wrong CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
if you're here because you are making the same mistake as me, I just resolved it. I mistakenly thought I didn't need to write the word attribute in the column labeled attribute. changed this 'symbol' := 'read' to this attribute 'symbol' := 'read' The last two in this clip are still wrong: I recongize this is probably a big "duh". That's ok. I like to fail out loud in hopes it helps someone else from looking silly.

Post by dasch on eCockpit - unable to start simulation CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
This is a known bug in e!Cockpit. See Release notes of V 1.11: 1 e!Cockpit Release Version 1.11 (2022-07) ATTENTION: If a library that uses asynchronous tasks (e.g. WagoAppConfigTool, WagoAppCloud or function modules such as Dali-Master) is dragged into the project, the simulation cannot be started. It is already sufficient to add the library to the project (an FB does not even have to be instantiated). I guess you are using one of these libraries/modules in your project. We e.G. often use PWM modules, these are also affected.

Hi, I have the same problem. However I am using ethernet connection not USB. I can ping the PLC and also connect to it via Wago ethernet settings, but I cannot upload using the Codesys 2.3. My PLC is Wago 750-862. The detailed error is - " connect: Connection refused Write attempt from invalid socket. " Any help would be appreciated.

Post by jeffgamsby on Accessing ModbusTCP addresses from python CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Hi, I am new to modbusTCP and I am trying to access Input registers from codesys (3.5.SP13). The offset is 16#0000 and I am trying to access Channel 1[24] %IW24 to pull analog values. I am using pyModbusTCP and I need to supply a modbus address and the number of registers to read. What does 16#0000 mean in terms of the actual offset, how do I translate this number plus the channel to access this info via python? Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Post by nico01 on Integer with comma in visualization CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Hello everyone, I created a visualization with a lot of REAL, with one or two digits after the decimal point. This causes me problems in terms of rounding and memory... is it possible to display an integer with a comma, like with PROFACE or SIEMENS? It's just an "abuse" of display, the comma is just on the visualization. This limits the memory (16 versus 64 bytes) and rounding is easier to manage... See print screen on proface software THANKS

Post by mondinmr on Jitter problems on imx8 CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
We are experiencing serious jitter issues on an ARM64 imx8. Until now, on rpi and beaglebone derivatives, and on Intel, we never encountered jitter issues unless they were already present on the device. In this case, as can be seen from the attached graph, we have excellent maximum latency. The cyclictest on the isolated core dedicated to IEC CODESYS tasks shows a latency of 37µs, with an average of 14µs. Usually, on all other devices, with an RT kernel, with the appropriate parameters to avoid frequency throttling, with properly managed IRQs, and with the disabling of large page sizes, the jitter measured by CODESYS is very close to the cyclictest latency. However, on this imx8, we are noticing a fluctuating value of +/- 300µs that seems to be added to this latency, as if something occasionally miscalculates the sleep times by exactly +/- 300µs. Two screenshoot attached. - Result of cyclictest - Jitter on CODESYS Tasks are assigned to isolated core!

Post by simotion on Online view : code is scanned CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
If I do online monitoring of code in f.i. a function block, I cannot see if the function block is called or not. In software from other vendors you normally have an indication if the online code you are looking on is scanned at that moment or not. Is there a way in Codesys to determine in the online view if (parts) of the code are scanned or not? Thanks

Post by joanm on Tab control element, hide/show tabs programatically? CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Hi all, Is it possible to hide or show tabs from the PLC code? I have created a few tabs in my visualizations to configure the program behavior, I'd like to be able to hide some of them if the related option in the main tab has been disabled. Is that possible? if so, how should I do it? Thank you all in advance.

Post by stuartjr on POU Private variables CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Pretty sure I know the answer, but thought I would ask just in case. Is there a way to set variables declared in a POU to private so that they can not be accessed from other POUs. I tried using the library pragma, but that just stops the variables being displayed in the selection tree. My compiler version is 2.3.9.62 if that's relevant, and I'm using an ABB AC500 V2 PLC. Cheers

Post by alexgooi on OPC-UA Boolean format CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Dear Forum, We are currently making the switch from OPC-DA (Codesys server) to OPC-UA (Running on a Codesys controller). We are using Codesys version 3.5 SP 20. Our Scada system is expecting Boolean's to be represented as a 0/1 (True Boolean) but the OPC-UA server is representing a boolean as False/True This indeed matches the OPC-UA standard, but is there a way to configure the OPC-UA server's boolean representation? Thank you in advance
