I have a problem with enums: when I view them in a client like UaExpert, only the last enum member is shown, and it has the wrong value. Georg, the encoder's actual position was -208 because I moved it manually for testing, but I managed to get it working. Your information is correct; there was a parameter error, Kp was at 0. After I adjusted it, it responded as expected. Thank you very much for your help.

in most of this cases the Installer ins't frozen, it's more likely that the Antimalware-Service-Executable slow's them down. Turning it off during installation of Codesys helped me all the time. Also keep attention on Taskmanager to get e feeling for the Installer Give it a try.

your case looks different, the first one was an codesys modbus tcp-slave, your's an Master-Application with gateway. I dont know this Unit, but i would say, from Point of Codesys it looks wrong configured. Just give us more detailed configuration and the please make a sketch of the topology you're trying to realise.

Are you making use of structs in the NVL? In the past I had similar behavior (NVL stops sending) when I added something in the struct. if you are making use of structs makes sure that the structs are identical in both projects. If this is not the case, have you tried changing the port number to something different than 1202?

Hello, I am trying to connect a Festo CMMT-AS-C4-3A-MP-S1 servo drive to a WAGO PFC200 (750-8210) using EtherCAT and CODESYS SoftMotion. Hardware PLC: WAGO PFC200 750-8210 Drive: Festo CMMT-AS-C4-3A-MP-S1 Communication: EtherCAT CODESYS version: Device description version 6.3.1.1 Drive firmware: 36.10.3 Current Status EtherCAT communication is working correctly: EtherCAT master = Running Drive detected and operational PDO input and output mapping is active Statusword, position and velocity are updating correctly Current PDO mapping: Outputs: 6040 Controlword -> %QW0 6060 Modes of operation -> %QB2 607A Target position -> %QD1 60FF Target velocity -> %QD3 Inputs: 6041 Statusword -> %IW2 6061 Modes of operation display -> %IB6 6064 Position actual value -> %ID2 606C Velocity actual value -> %ID3 SoftMotion Axis I added a SoftMotion CiA402 axis under the EtherCAT slave: Axis type: SM_Drive_GenericDSP402 Axis communication state: operational (100) No SoftMotion mapping errors anymore Problem MC_Power is executed with: Enable = TRUE bRegulatorOn = TRUE bDriveStart = TRUE but: Status = FALSE Busy = TRUE Error = FALSE ErrorID = SMC_NO_ERROR The axis remains in: SMC_AXIS_STATE.power_off DSP402 state = SWITCH_ON_DISABLED The most important observation: Statusword = 32784 (0x8010) Controlword (%QW0) remains 0 all the time SoftMotion never writes 6, 7, or 15 to the Controlword. Additional Information The axis status page reports: "The license is missing or invalid. The PLC runs in demo mode." I am not sure whether: The missing SoftMotion license prevents Controlword generation completely. The axis is still not correctly connected to the EtherCAT slave despite operational communication. There is an additional CiA402 configuration step required for the Festo CMMT-AS drive. Has anyone successfully used a Festo CMMT-AS MP drive with CODESYS SoftMotion Generic DSP402 on a WAGO PFC200? Any suggestions on what should be checked next would be greatly appreciated.

A customer of us had the same issue. They updated (at that time) to CODESYS 3.5.21.50 and Control for Linux SL versie 4.19.0.0. After that they couldn't reproduce the issue anymore. You might give this a try too.

Hi polyautomacao, hmm, did you tune the PD parameters as shown in the link I posted above? One thing that could cause the behavior are bad parameters. I also don't understand the screen shot: when you hold the encoder to 0, why is the actual position of the DrivePosControl -208? Best regards, Georg

That’s a classic CODESYS quirk. As soon as you enable AllowFileTransferServices=1, the web server locks down and demands authentication for everything, including WebVisu sessions. Since you're on a Raspberry Pi / Linux, trying to make the built-in CODESYS web server do both secure file handling and unauthenticated kiosk visu is usually a losing battle. A couple of ways to get around this: The cleaner route (separate the jobs): Turn AllowFileTransferServices back off in the config so your kiosk WebVisu opens freely without any login prompts. Then, handle the file download outside of CODESYS — just run a dead-simple Nginx/lighttpd file server or a tiny Python script on the Pi pointed at your export folder (/var/opt/codesys/...). That way your PLC security stays intact, and the kiosk screen just works. If you really want it through CODESYS: Check your Device -> Users and Groups in the IDE. Make sure the Everyone / Anonymous user group actually has explicit view permissions checked for the Visualization. Sometimes when file services are toggled, anonymous users lose the default visu-read rights and get booted straight to the login dialog. URL / Browser trick for kiosk: If the Pi is just opening a local browser on startup, you can sometimes pass the basic credentials in the browser launch script or use a small reverse proxy on localhost to inject the headers automatically so you don't see the popup. Honestly, running a lightweight HTTP/FTP endpoint on Linux (option 1) is by far the least headache.

Thanks So Much for the reply! Were using the Weidmuller UV66-ADV-10-CAP-W The HMI is pointed to the URL which is assigned through u-OS. Basically when you log into the controller's webserver via browser you can view the installed apps. One of which is the Codesys runtime. When you click on that it takes you to the visualization. That corresponding url is what the HMI is looking for. I apologize I don't have that on hand as I'm in the office right now. I don't think I tried connecting using the port you mentioned and https in lieu of the u_OS URL. I can certainly try. Out of the box the u-OS is set for HTTP. Since we're isolated I havent changed that yet. When this has happened while logged on via chrome on my laptop, simply refreshing brings the visualization right back. In the case of the HMI in kiosk mode, we power cycle the HMI to force a reconnect, log back in u-OS and the visualization is back.

I have a J1939 network (ISOBUS) connected to my PLC. I can receive various PGNs such as 65256 (Vehicle Direction/Speed) and 65254 (Time/Date). However, I cannot receive 65267 (Vehicle Position). PGN 65267 (VP) contains SPN 584 (Latitude) and SPN 585 (Longitude). On the network both SPNs return a value of -210 (meaning the CAN message payload is zero in both cases). The conversion settings are the default values and appear to be correct (see attached screenshot). Using a CAN analyser I can see that PGN 65267 (Vehicle Position) is being transmitted over the network with valid (non-zero) data that matches the latitude and longitude coordinates I would expect. I've created a program to read the raw J1939 data and this also returns valid data. It seems that the Codesys J1939 database has a problem with reading PGN 65267 messages. Can anybody else confirm this? I'm using Codesys Version 3.5 SP16 Patch 5.

Hi Everyone, I have a simple project with a single servo, but its my first time using Codesys and motion, so I'm a little confused and lost, I've tried to read the tutorial online, but I'm not having much luck sorry. Can I please ask for some pointers. I have a ComfilePi HMI (Raspberry Pi) communicating to a Omron R88D-1SN08H-ECT amplifier. Please see the attached project file (which is better for sharing, the project file, or a archive?). This file was simply for testing the motion of the servo before anything else is tested with it. The project simply rotates the servo 1 rotation when called for, but the speed can vary based on user input. Nothing much fancy. As yet, I haven't had any servo movement, no errors on the amplifier display. How do I link the motion FBs to the physical drive? Thank you very much for any help you can offer. Hello all, I would like to store some data in text file. I use the soft PLC Win V3x64, on Windows 10. I use the SysFile Library 3.5.17.0. If I store the file directly in the in the directory of the PLC i.e. in '/CODESYSControlWinV3x64/E1FA7ABE/PlcLogic/LogAU.txt' the file is correctly filled with the data. However, If I use an absolute path to a different directory no data is stored in the respective file. Hello, For my program I need an extended pulse timer, which can be referred to as a retriggerable pulse timer. Where every rising edge of the input resets the elapsed time zero, extending the lenght of the output pulse. The Codesys pulse timer (TP) is a one-shot timer and only resets the elapsed time with the falling edge of the input. There is also a pulse timer (LTP) in codesys, but in my simulation it was also functioning as a one-shot even though the description sounds like LTP should be retriggerable. I have uploaded some timing plots from another PLC program for reference. I am looking for a timer equivalent to the "TEP" diagram. Is there an Extended Pulse Timer in Codesys? Maybe there is a way to manipulate the input so it resets the elapsed time outside the function block?
