Hi, I have been trying to use CryptoGenerateHash from the CmpCrypto Implementation library. My code is taken almost directly from the CryptoDemo.project example provided on Codesys Forge, yet the CryptoGenerateHash function does not write to the address listed in pHash. RTS_IEC_RESULT is OK, but I am getting nothing out of the function. No errors either, all my libraries are up to date. Any help would be appreicated! Hallo, I have a strange problem with the recipe manager. ISSUE: When using RecipeManCommands not all values are loaded correctly. Saving a recipe with CreateRecipe(), ReadAndSaveRecipe() or ReadAndSaveRecipeAs() works without any problems. BUT: LoadRecipe(), WriteRecipe() or LoadFromAndWriteRecipe() do not load the data correctly. It is Interesting that we have a different error pattern with LoadRecipe() than with WriteRecipe() or LoadFromAndWriteRecipe(). LoadRecipe() does not load all data and WriteRecipe() or LoadFromAndWriteRecipe() overwrites some data or assigns it incorrectly. And it is also strange that LoadRecipe() writes the values to the PLC. Normally it doesn’t do it. It makes no difference whether the memory type is textual or binary. I have an object consisting of STRUCTs which is inserted in the recipe definition. Environment: Codesys V3.5 SP19 Patch 4 (64Bit), Recipe Management 4.2.0.0 *Add a project (reduced to the problem)

Hello. In Codesys version 3.5.19.50 when comparing two projects that have an "Alarm Configuration" obj from the Alarm Manager library vers. 4.5.0.0 the attached error pops up. This originally happened with two projects that I converted from vers. 3.5.17.30 so, thinking it was some conversion issue, I created two clean projects directly in 3.5.19.50 using the Standard Project template and only added the Alarm Configuration objects in them. The result is the same and the only way I found that allowed me to compare them is by deleting the incriminated object in one of the two projects. Has anyone else encountered this issue? Best regards

Dear all, I've just started to migrate some of my ancient projects to SP20. There is one strange error (?) I have noticed so far. But now, the expression Add_EVT_OUT := 0; gives an error: [ERROR] DB_WTP_370: Add_EVT_ACK MSG_TRIGGER_EXT: C0032: Cannot convert type 'BIT' to type 'REFERENCE TO FB_MSG' Naturally... I can write: Add_EVT_OUT := DWORD#0; But is this the correct way? Is there any constant I could use instead, like "NULL"? Or this is totally wrong and to be avoided?

Hello, I'm trying to connect with a Wago TP600 HMI but without success. I'm using codysis 3.5 SP19 patch 7 (SP20 block all the time) and the official wago package is installed. However, when I scan and select my device, I get a message saying that the device doesn't match the project's device object with the possibility to update the device (as shown in the attached picture). however, after choosing to update i got a message that the device is not found. I've tried with a new empty project but the same results. do you have any ideas? Thanks.

Is there anybody can help me with the same problem? I have to migrate created project in ver.3.5.17.0 32BIT with runtime 4.7.0 to ver.3.5.20.0 64BIT with runtime 4.7.11.0 due to the new license. All the libraries and dependencies are updaded and there are no any errors. The first compilation and loading to the controller is being compleated well. After this being done and if I am forced to change any values or change any code in the current project, another compilation will be freezed. This problem can be solved if pressed Build/cleen or cleen all. There is another method to solve this; if project is loaded with excluded object (Alarm Configuration), repeated compilations will be done well.

Hi everybody, recently I was checking how many time consuming manual tasks I can perform with python scripts through ScriptEngine. I have in the project many devices and currently I export bootprojects for them by right clicking on Application, then go Export -> Bootproject and firmware (SD Card) and then point folder where files should be exported. It's fine if project has few devices, but I have some of them with over 30 devices and manual clicking like that is very time consuming. How can I do it with python script? So far I found "create_boot_application" method from Application object (taken by projects.primary.find('Application', True)) but it only generates .app and .crc file instead of full structure to store on SD card (FIRMWARE, USERDATA, SDCARD.INI, Version, Version.txt.sig). Should I use some method to control user interface? Best regards, Adam

Hello everyone, I have a very simple program for the process, but it's driving me crazy and I can't see the problems I'm left with: Short topological description: Dual Core Berghof controller with softmotion runtime version 3.5.19.30; Two axes with servodrive on canopen bus, clocked distributed from master; Ethercat I/O node; 2 ms ethercat task, 2 ms canopen bus cycle time; I/O objects of the canopen master and canopen drives connected to the ethercat task cycle; Problem 1: Two separate programs each manage their own axis and drive, with separate state machines. A first axis moves primarily in velocity, except having to position itself absolutely at a predetermined point at the end of the job; the second axis, on the other hand, is a paper unwinder that changes, for each job cycle, from actions in absolute, relative, and cam displacement with the master axis. But it gives me a spot problem: in some, the state change results in a drive error, which is unrecoverable except with a reinitialization via SM3_ReinitDrive(). Done a little diagnostics it seems that the FBs return the bDone, before they are completely terminated. I tried doing the machine state exchange not with the bDone bit of the FBs, but with the 'standstill' state of the axis. It didn't seem to change anything. Problem 2: During the use SM3_ReinitDrive() I get the erro in the log: "NetID 0: SDO read error for object 16#607C..." Assuming that the device involved it's one of the two servodrive, (no others device are present in the network), I don't found any object 0x607C in the 'possible object list in/out' of the two drive, and I don't understand where this object can be listed. So any ideas and suggestions regarding these two issues will be very, very welcome. If you need the source project, I am willing to send it.

However I feel main documentation is lacking. For example, where can I find that object has "is_device" attribute? Of course I need to remove check: if treeobj.is_device: But simply removing this test condition will not produce what I want. Hi, I'm experiencing a bug with the latest version of SoftMotion CNC library (4.17), where the 3DPath object in Visu is missing all the important properties. I've verified that a previous app I was working on with library version 4.16 did not have this issue and the issue is duplicated in that project when I update it to 4.17. I've already submitted a bug report, but for the time being I need to revert the project I'm currently working on back a revision. I've tried right clicking on the library but the option to select the version is greyed out. Can anyone help me?

I need to know how i can change the directory of my instances 'inst_3' and so on. So they can be under objects directly. I tried to modify the settings, but couldn't find any leads till now. Hello, I would like to know if there is a PROFIdrive layer in CODESYS. I am already familliar with Codesys's SoftMotion on CANOpen/EtherCAT (to control PLC Open FBs), and I need the same kind of stuff for PROFINET-IO devices; In my configuration, I have a CIFX board from Hischer to enable IRT, the SoftPLC "Codesys Control RTE V3 x64", and a servo-drive from INFRANOR that implements PROFINET / PROFIdrive (with IRT) protocol. Meanwhile, I would like to understand why the motion FB instances must still be called even after the Execute is set to FALSE, especially in view of the fact that the next instruction is programmed to abort the previous one, with BufferMode set to 'Aborting'. All these unnecessary FB calls are an unnecessary overhead on the CPU anyway. Is there any precise rule about when to cease calling the various instances? (It should precisely be the 'done' status that says this one has finished its work). In general: - Motion function blocks have to be called until they report 'Done', 'Error', 'CommandAborted' or a subsequent motion FB with BufferMode=Aborting is started in the current cycle. - Setting the Execute input to FALSE will not abort any ongoing motion of the motion function block. For example, one case that is often problematic is the execution of the Axis Halt instruction. When, after a MoveAbosulte instruction this returns the event as 'done' and indeed the axis is in standstill, the state machine first sets the move instruction to FALSE, and the next cycle sets the Halt request to TRUE. Some of the time everything works out fine. Occasionally, however, in this exchange, the axis goes into fault, also losing the OPERATIONAL state. I think the error SMC_FB_WASNT_CALLED_DURING_MOTION is only a follow-up (and misleading) error that results from the axis not being in operational state anymore (bus problems). Is there an error 'regulator or start not set' in the device log before the error 'motion generating FB wasn't called for at least one cycle'? Which error does the respective function block (Halt.ErrorId) report?

With that I could make an array of varying size, but would still have to define the array type in the function's declaration VAR_IN_OUT stArray: array [*..*] of <pre-defined data type> END_VAR I wanted a function that could take an array of any type (e.g., a structured VAR) as an input. That way I could call it in multiple POUs to handle different arrays structures.

See Release notes of V 1.11: 1 e!Cockpit Release Version 1.11 (2022-07) ATTENTION: If a library that uses asynchronous tasks (e.g. WagoAppConfigTool, WagoAppCloud or function modules such as Dali-Master) is dragged into the project, the simulation cannot be started. It is already sufficient to add the library to the project (an FB does not even have to be instantiated). I guess you are using one of these libraries/modules in your project. We e.G. often use PWM modules, these are also affected.

I am deploying a webvisu on Codesys 3.5 SP 19.2 with legacy user management. I noticed that when a user logs in, some text and a rectangle I have (for aesthetics) both disappear. I made sure that none of the objects in question are linked to a state variable. Anyone know the cause/solution to this? Nothing crucial to the machine's function is lost, but it is a little annoying.

What am I doing wrong?

That calculation will not work the way you expect it to. If PumpFillSpeed is limitied to 0-50 then the only whole number would be 50/50 = 1 everything else is 0.0-0.9999... and since you are using word and integer only 50 would work since there is no representation for mantissa in integer values. Declare a temporary real variable and do the calculation and then do a REAL_TO_WORD in the DRV2Speed assignment.

Hello, I need to execute "sudo" commands via CoDeSys 3.5 SP 19 P5 using the "SysProcessExecuteCommand2" function. Commands without sudo are no problem, but as soon as sudo is used in a .sh or a single command, it does not work. Command=AllowAll is entered under "SysProcess" in CODESYSControl.cfg. Nevertheless it does not work. Does anyone know what the problem could be? Greetings, Thomas

I use the function SysFile.SysFileOpen(sFileNamePara, SysFile.ACCESS_MODE.AM_WRITE, pErrorFileOpen); to open and write a file. Since the update from Codesys V3.5 SP17 to V3.5 SP19 Patch 5 it does not work anymore. I first had SysFile.SysFileOpen(sFileNamePara, SysFile.ACCESS_MODE.AM_APPEND_PLUS, pErrorFileOpen); in both versions. hFile_Test is a pointer to byte. It gives an exceptional error when dereferencing the hFile_Test pointer. Edit: I use Codesys on a Raspberry pi

Hello all, when creating a POU, the Codesys IDE allows the setting "Enable System Call" (in the Settings, Property -> Build), see picture. The name suggest, that runtime functionalities i.e. functions of codesyscontrol such as "stop plc" etc. can be directly called. I tried various approches without success, the following does, unsurprisingly not work. FUNCTION accessRTE: BOOL; ****************************** codesyscontrol.stop(); Can you please tell me how I can make a system call to codesyscontrol from a POU.
