I recognized that I have to start the two services "/etc/init.d/codemeter" and "/etc/init.d/codemeter-webadmin" in the docker container as well. If I do so, then the command "cmu -x" returns root@sensoredge-field-netfield-produktmanagment:/# cmu -x cmu - CodeMeter Universal Support Tool. Version 7.60c of 2023-Aug-09 (Build 5625) for Linux/ARMHF 64-Bit Copyright (C) 2007-2023 by WIBU-SYSTEMS AG. All rights reserved. So this time there is no indication any more that "Codemeter is not running". But still we are getting the error when using the license manager in CODESYS development system.

Hello, we are porting a CNC project from codesys 3.5.16 to codesys 3.5.19. The project has lots of CNC programs with variables. now we get hundreds of messages like this. [WARNING] CNC Test SP19: TestCNC SPS: PLC Logic: Application: C0564: A reference to uninitialized variable varCNC is used for initialization of TestCNC_D. Accessing the uninitialized variable may result in unexpected behavior. The objects program_name_D are implicit generated by codesys. I see no way to generated them after the variables. Is there a way to correct the initialization order? We know how to suppress this warning. But we need a clean solution as the warning already saved us in a other nonCNC project. Attached a small demo of the problem.

Hello That's certainly CiA402. I'll attach a part of the manual for my servos, but the state diagram should be the same at yours. To be sure, get one from your manufacturer. Look at the bits in the StatusWord to see where you are in the diagram, then twiddle the bits in the ControlWord to get you to the next step. Then there are other bits in the StatusWord to tell you 'InPosition' and things like that. From the screenshot, as it mentions only 'PositionProfile' the driver will create the motion profile. So you need to put a target position in here - there should be profile velocity somewhere? Possibly, you need to write these with SDO's? At the minimum, you need to write a value to 0x6081, 0x6083 and 0x6084 (velocity, accel, decel)

Dank umfangreicher Hilfe durch den Kontron Support kann ich nun wieder übersetzen. Es waren einige Bibliotheken auf einem älteren, nicht 64bit-kompatiblen Stand. Beim Öffnen des Projektes erscheint zwar ein Dialog zum Aktualisieren der Bibliotheken. Diesen hatte ich auch mit "Auf neueste setzen" bestätigt. Trotzdem waren etliche Bibliotheken im Projekt veraltet. Leider habe ich noch keine Stelle in der Online Hilfe gefunden, die die Zusammenhänge in der Bibliotheksverwaltung und das Vorgehen bei Fehlern erklärt. (Z.B. wie man vermeiden kann, dass eine Komponente automatisch eine ältere Bibliotheksversion lädt, obwohl eine aktuelle Version der gleichen Bibliothek schon hinzugefügt wurde.) Vielen Dank für die Hilfe!

Hallo zusammen, ich habe die Aufgabe ein Kennfeld zu programmieren. Mithilfe des Visualisierungselements Tabelle ist mir dies gelungen (siehe Anhang). In der Inputconfiguration habe ich die Option: Schreiben von Variablen aktiviert, damit der Benutzer die Werte im Kennfeld verändern kann. Beim Testen des Programmes bin ich im (Online-Betrieb, Simulation). Ich verändere die Werte im Kennfeld. Beim Programm-Neustart von CODESYS sind die Veränderungen im Kennfeld nicht mehr da. 1. Kennt jemand einen Ansatz wie ich bspw. den "Datenstand" im Online Betrieb speichern und bei Bedarf öffnen kann oder eine alternative Herangehensweise? "Im Onlinebetrieb speichert CODESYS die Bootapplikation auf dem Zielgerät" 2. Wird dabei eine Bootapplikation vom Code erzeugt welcher im Online-Betrieb sichtbar ist (samt den Veränderungen im Kennfeld) oder wird die Bootapplikation auf Grundlage des Offline-Codes erzeugt? Hallo, nach der Portierung meiner Applikation von Codesys Version 3.5.18 auf 3.5.20 habe ich u.a. folgende Baustelle: Wenn in der Datei /etc/CODESYSControl_User.cfg die Einträge [SysProcess] Command=AllowAll und [CmpWebServerHandlerV3] AllowFileTransferServices=1 ergänzt werden, startet die Webvisu mit einer Login Abfrage. Die Webvisu soll aber (wie bisher auch) ohne Benutzeraktion starten. Den Browser für die Webvisu rufe ich mit dem Eintrag @firefox --kiosk --private-window localhost:8080/webvisu.htm in der autostart Datei auf. Wie kann man die Login-Abfrage wieder loswerden? Die Runtime läuft auf einem RPi mit Kernel Version 6.1.21 (aarch64) Vielen Dank für die Hilfe

Update: We managed to avoid the warnings by changing the order of initialization by adding an attribute to the GVL with the variables. {attribute 'global_init_slot' := '49989'} The variables are initialized right before the regular GVLs (default GVL slot 49990). Note to Codesys: I see the problem, Codesys needs to initialize the CNC objects before the GVLs so they can be used in the GVL. But then you can't use variables from GVLs in CNC programs. Maybe you could disable the warning in your generated CNC objects? At least a note for a workaround would have been nice.

I'm trying to determine which Codesys Control license I need, the Control Standard S has all the features I think I'll need, but the code size is limited to 3mb, I created a simple program with only 1 line of ladder logic and a simple visualization with a button and an indicator. When I generate code I get some messages, one indicates that the total allocated memory size for code and data is 2.1mb. Is this metric the correct size of the code? I question the size because it exceeds the allowable code size for the Basic S and Basic M licenses and consumes 2/3 of the available memory for the Basic L or Standard S license. What tool can I use to estimate the size of code as it relates to the runtime license limit?

Hello, I am using a Hitachi Micro EHV+ for a small project, and I wanted to have a Web visu, done with Codesys V3.5 SP13 Patch 2. I test the Visu screen and it works well in Codesys, but I get a blank page when i enter the web visu in a browser. Here is the setting under web visualization: Update rate (ms): 5000 (previously set to 2500 also not working) Default communication size: 100000 (previously set to 50000 also not working) Under Visu_Task tab: Priority: 3 The Visu_Task interval is set to 2500ms (previously set to 200ms also not working) I'm using Google chrome with the latest update, the Javascript is enabled with HTML5. Any advice?

Hallo liebe Community, im Rahmen einer Studienarbeit gilt es ein OPC-UA-Informationsmodell in eine existierende CODESYS-Steuerung zu implementieren. Dabei sind wir auf die Frage gestoßen welcher Unterschied zwischen den folgenden Objekten besteht: - Symbolkonfiguration (veraltet?) - IEC-Symbolveröffentlichung - Veröffentlichung über zuvor erstelltes Informationsmodell In unserem Verständnis erfüllen alle Objekte die Gleiche Aufgabe nur mit unterschiedlicher Vorgehensweise und Darstellung im OPC-UA-Server. Während durch die Symbolkonfiguration die Variablen und Instanzen über lange und verschachtelte Pfade abgelegt werden, wird durch die IEC-Symbolveröffentlichung ein Ordner im Pfad der Objekte erstellt. Dort sind die Variablen und Instanzen anschließend zu finden. Bei der Verwendung von Informationsmodellen hingegen, werden die Instanzen direkt unter den Objekten abgelegt. The simplest way to do this would be to add a bus coupler dedicated to the expansion IO. The EtherCAT network does not fault when modules connected to the expander are not present. In the image below, nothing below the red line is present in the network - with the network working correctly. In your "base" project, simply include all of the possible modules, and then plug them in as you add pumps to the system. I would also highly recommend against the use of direct addressing. There are other methods to accomplish this, including using the "Optional" checkbox for modules and explicitly addressing them. Hallo, die Option CallVisuServicesDirectly=1 verändert das Verhalten leider nicht. In Codesys gibt es noch in den Einstellungen der Webvisu den Eintrag unter Login-Visualisierung. Das Löschen dieses Eintrages ergibt aber auch keine Änderung. Evtl. wird bei der neuen Codesys Version für die Webvisu eine https Verbindung vorausgesetzt. Zu dem Thema bin ich im Thread https://forge.codesys.com/forge/talk/Visualization/thread/5767230df2/ auf die Beschreibung im Installationsverzeichnis unter file:///C:/Program%20Files/CODESYS%203.5.20.0/GatewayPLC/Documentation/WebServerSSL_de.pdf gestoßen. Allerdings gibt es dort Diskrepanzen zwischen der Verzeichnisstruktur auf meinem Gerät und in der Beschreibung. Also werde ich in dieser Richtung weiterforschen. Vielleicht hat noch jemand einen Tip, wie die Webvisu schnell auf https umgestellt werden kann. Vielen Dank!

Good afternoon. I am working with a weidmuller uc20-wl2000 controller, using a codesys license. We made a ladder code to control a process, and it works well, but we want some variables to remain stored even when the controller is turned off. We tried to use retain variables, but at the time of loading the program, when we went offline from the controller, the program was deleted, it did not remain in the controller, and in the same way if we turned off the controller. In addition to this, when we tried to program it again, the program would not stay loaded and began to present errors with the opc-ua communication. What could be causing this problem? How can we maintain the values of the variables without damaging the program or affecting the controller? thank you

thank you very much! I found the generate_code methode, but struggled with the primary and active_application. With this expample I will be able to play around. If the code generation takes a minute or more I often switch to other programs and don't notify the process is finished. So now I'll get an alert and will switch back immediately. My next little project will be, to beep different if there are errors and a seperate script to do the download incl. the user management data base without stopping at the dialogs asking for onlinechange/complete download and overwriting an existing database and as goody, play a beep/sound again.

Hi, Is it possible to have a MC_PositionProfile that runs continuously again and again without stopping the motor and starting again. I have a profile that contains about 50 steps that I want to repeat. At the end of each run the motor comes to a stop before the next one starts. My code checks for Done, then resets the Execute to False before setting Execute to True to run again, and I think this is causing the motor to go to standstill before starting again. There doesn't seem to be a BufferMode option like with MC_MoveAbsolute. Is it possible to do this? Many thanks,

Hi Im trying to setup a Weidmüller WL2000 to run with MODBUS, to get some data from a server. Codesys V3.5 SP20. The issue is, that whenever i attach an ethernet port and add MODBUS Master und also a Slave, codesys will compile the project, but there always seem to be some remaining errors, which or only visible, when setting the messages window to "Pre-Compiled". I tried a lot of stuff to get rid of these errors, but cant find to seem the reason. New installation of codesys, cleaned project, setup completely empty new project, manually adding libs. Nothing helps. Any help is apreciated. Maybe we are doing something wrong.. Example Project is available, if somebodey wants to take a look. Greetings and thanks alot

We made our own trend function and its related to this we get error message: Trend_Menu Device: PLC Logic: Application: C0032: Cannot convert type 'RTS_SYSTIMEDATE(systimertc, 3.5.20.0 (system))' to type 'RTS_SYSTIMEDATE(systimertc, 3.5.17.0 (system))' The variables are defined as follow: start : SysTimeRtc.SYSTIMEDATE; end : SysTimeRtc.SYSTIMEDATE; The code that creates the error is the variable start and end IF xAssign THEN xAssign := FALSE; xPanEnable := FALSE; xZoomEnable := FALSE; drs.liFrom := VisuTrendStorageAccess.TrendStorageConvertToTimestamp(start, 0 (us)); drs.liTo := VisuTrendStorageAccess.TrendStorageConvertToTimestamp(end, 0 (us)); drs.m_itfDateRangeSelectorClient.SetCurrentRange(drs.liFrom, drs.liTo); END_IF I cant understand really what the error message means and what can be the cause of the error? Hi, I'm using Codesys control for Raspberry Pi in the latest version (4.11.0.0) When I try to install a license with the new application-based licensing, I have an error "returncode 403046401" (using codesys SP18) I updated to codesys SP20, and now I get the following error: "The selected conainer [0]: SN=..., Version=1.18, Chip=0, Rev=0 does not fit to your ticket. Please select a suitable one." The license I'm trying to install is a Codesys Control Basic L license, with a Codesys Visualization L option, according to the needs of my application. What can I do to activate my license ?

Hello, I am trying to control shift registers 74HC596 and 74HC165 via Raspberry PI with SPI interface. So far I did it with a Microcontroller and now I wanna upgrade my Projekt with Raspberry Pi and Codesys Software to be more flexible. I tried to adapt PiFace Function Block to just send or recive a 8 bit via SPI interface of the my Raspberry Pi. With following code (see attached screenshots) * PLC_PRG * PiFaceDigital * PiFaceDigital.write8 * PiFaceDigital.read8 I have a signal at SCK and MOSI pin of the PI, so far so good. But I really struggle with the unterstanding of the code. Is there some detailed description of each line of code? Or is there somebody in the community who can explain each line of code? Or is there a more simple way to send / recive 8 bit via SPI? Manuel
