Hello, We have a problem with CodeSys on a raspbery pi with an ADS1015 analog to I2C module. It can't find the I2C device on the i2c bus, it says No I2C Driver Found. When we use the RPI terminal we can find the I2C device and read it out. The i2c-1 bus is also accessible from codesys. The device address of the Analog to I2C module is 0x48. Can someone have a look what the problem is? i submitted the screenshots in the attachments. i also include the device description and library.

Hi there mate Most PLC's have a very similar concept with AI/AO - have you used any other software before? I have not used a Wago before myself, but I assume the concept would very much be: 1. Add the analog in & out cards to your hardware config. 2. Setup the raw input scaling on the hardware (eg. 4 - 20mA = 4000 - 20000) 3. Use a built in or homemade scaling block to scale your input as needed (eg. 4000 - 20000 = -100 - 2000kPa. 4. Write code as required 5. Scale output as needed (eg. 0 - 100% = 0-10000 = 0 - 10V) Is this the information you require?

Hello, Maybe someone could help with this. When I add ENUM to a text field I get the number instead of the text. For my own ENUM variable I have declared and enabled text list value is displayed as text, but I need enum text displayed from softMotion and other internal FB's. In the picture I have one of desired ENUM variable setup, but in the visu I have number, but in the watch window it's text. There is probably some checkbox to tick, but was looking for an hour, can't find a solution. Would apreciate some help

Hi, When trying to activate a control Basic L license on a Wago PFC200 750-8203 the error The selected container ... does not fit your ticket comes up and won't allow licensing. I have deleted the /var/opt/codesys/cmact_license/ content 3 times and the container number changed each time after a reboot, but the problem persists. Not a happy first time experience with those weird application based licenses. IDE is 19.20. This was a e!Cockpit FW22 PLC and I used Deploy Control SL to make the green web interface red. WBM shows Codesys 2 and e!Runtime active which is a bit weird. What do I do now? Regards Heinz

Hello, In my projects, I'm following this recommendation about the rule names in Codesys https://content.helpme-codesys.com/en/CODESYS%20Development%20System/_cds_rules.html, so I always use backtick identifiers, not only for variables, but also for the object names. However, I have noticed that in the current version of Codesys, when adding Visu object, it is not allowed to used these identifiers in the name. This is very different from all other objects like, folder names, POU names, Variable list names etc. I wonder if there is some hidden settings I can use to enable backtick identifiers in the Visu object names? Problem Solved The Problem was within the Usermanagment. There should be 6 files for the Usermanagment in /var/opt/codesys/ .UserMgmtDB.csv .UserMgmRightstDB.csv .GroupDatabase.csv .UserDatabase.csv_ .GroupDatabase.csv_ .UserDatabase.csv The file .UserMgmtDB.csv was missing. I moved the other files in a savefolder. Full Step by step instructions stop the runtime with sudo /etc/init.d/codesyscontrol stop rename the following files on the PI: (or save them and then delete them) in this directory: /var/opt/codesys/ .UserMgmtDB.csv .UserMgmRightstDB.csv .GroupDatabase.csv .UserDatabase.csv_ .GroupDatabase.csv_ .UserDatabase.csv then restart the Runtime: sudo /etc/init.d/codesyscontrol start now reconnect the PLC via the Automation Server - here you will be asked to create a new CODESYS user password, The user management files deleted above are then created again (in /var/opt/codesys/ on the PI).

I got a Wago PFC200V2, running Codesys 3.5.16.40, 100ms scan cycle, consumes about 20ms. It will randomly crash the runtime every 10 minutes to a few hours. We suspect an overloaded ModbusTCP Slave Device, as this is work done by a 3rd party contractor, but we can not find anything in the help files or documentation, that mentions a hard limit on maximum number of clients connections. This PLC currently has 44 client connections to the Slave Device and 29 slaves configured for its own Master Device. From Device-Communication Settings select from drop down menu "Device" Select entry "Change Runtime Security Policy" Check the "Allow anonymous login" Select "Symbol Configuration" in your application In settings check "Support for OPC UA features" Check some of the values you want in your set Press the build button in the "Symbol Configuration" Press the button "Configure Symbol Rights" Make sure that Anonymous_OPCUAServer has access right to your "default set" From Device-Communication Settings select "Access Rights" in RemoteConnections-OPCUAServer Anonymous_OPCUAServer should be given modify and view rights I suppose. I can connect with UaExpert but I cannot see my Application or browse my values. What is missing?

Dear Forum I have the following config: Codesys_IDE 3.5.20 Codesys_Virtual_Control 4.13 Codesys_License_Server 4.13 I know these are not the newest versions, but in my mind these should work. I have the same problem here. I have the license server installed on the host, and in the docker container(Codesys virtual control) I'm able to ping the license server. In the /conf/codesyscontrol/CODESYSControl_User.cfg I have added the following config: [CmpCodeMeter] EnableNetLicenses=1 LicenseServer.1="ip address of the host" I have tried it via the wbm web-page. I can create new license containers over there, but still no luck. I also have tried to run the docker container with the -s "server_IP" command. I have searched for some tutorial's but I couldn't find it. If anyone has some clue or can give me a push in the right direction it would be very very welcome!

I came up with an FBD that seems to be working, although it may not be a true Retriggerable Pulse timer. There may be some delay associated with the two MOVE functions and ADD function I incorporated. I'd be interested if anyone is able to come up with something cleaner. I am surprised that this is not a built-in function block of the CodeSYS library. This is a common feature of multi-function timer relays. I also attached a page from the cut sheet of a Schneider relay that shows 10 timing functions. Looks like the CodeSYS library has built-in function blocks for only 3 of the 10.

First make sure the programming laptop and HMI are both on the same subnet. For example if the IP address of the HMI is 192.168.1.125 with a subnet mask 255.255.255.0 set your laptop IP to 192.168.1.120 with a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0. Make sure the cables are fully connected (the ethernet port on my programming laptop will click once but the cable is not fully seated.) Make sure the HMI is powered on, try pinging the device from a command prompt, if you can't ping the HMI there is a network issue that has to be resolved first.

Hello Every one, During testing of OPC UA communication between UA Expert software and the CODESYS SoftPLC on a Linux environment, an observation was made. When the Ethernet cable was disconnected and reconnected with 2-minute intervals, on the 5th attempt, the OPC UA connection failed to establish in UA Expert software. At this juncture, restarting the CODESYS SoftPLC enabled the reestablishment of OPC UA communication. The same result was obtained when testing on a Raspberry Pi SoftPLC. What is the reason behind this phenomenon? and whether there are settings to stop this behavior? Please help. Thanks & Regards.

I cannot install multicore and it only gives me the option to install Standard. Epis doesnt want Softmotion. I thought it was about the price. If it was possible it would be working already and i dont need an extra licence. Thats the problem of codesys. The software is running but hangs on its license. Epis made it posible to see the stick. I can see the license. Softmotion is there from 3.5.14.Xx Like is said And Motion control is alrady posible 15 year ago. And i only need a Sync of 2 drives. I want a good solution not a refund. Dont point to the manufacturer. The software is made by 3s not by epis .

Thanks for the response, as I've thought about this problem over the last month I began to suspect this was a problem with not being able to exactly represent .1 as a 32 bit binary number. I think I've found a work around by making the number an integer, then dividing it by 10 and storing that value as a floating point number. There is still an issue with the value not being exact somewhere in the 8th or 9th decimal place, but because I'm incrementing an integer value then dividing it, the error doesn't compound.

Hello, I got a bit of a weird issue going on which is kind of annoying. So recently we switched a lot of Modbus IO to EtherCAT, as we were having issues with stability. All works fine, which is great. But sometimes when I change the program I get errors claiming that identifiers are not defined. Meaning I can't go online. See the picture below. I believe this is because some of these identifiers were used with Modbus, and they weren't properly removed/deleted? A clean all temporary fixes the issue, but it comes back again after a while of changing the code, and building. Any way to fix these non-existing required identifiers, or even find out where they are required? Thanks for the help in advance. Jasper.

Hello, CODESYS Control is running on my RevPi, and my system communicates over a CANbus with a master using the ConnectCan module (Slave - CANopen Device). The communication works perfectly fine so far. However, as soon as I call a Python script with "SysProcessExecuteCommand2" that creates a CSV file and executes without errors, the master does not adopt any changes to the Transmission Process Data Objects (TPDOs). I don't quite understand what one has to do with the other, and perhaps someone can help me with this. Here is my script call: SysProcess.SysProcessExecuteCommand2(pszCommand:='python /home/pi/test.py', pszStdOut:=sCMDOutput, udiStdOutLen:= SIZEOF(sCMDOutput), pResult := ADR(eResult)); Thank you in advance! Hello everyone, I created a new sandbox image on the D drive with Codesys Installer. However, when I launch the IDE from this image, it gives the error shown in the attached image. -- Codesys V3.5 SP19 Patch7. -- The installer is the latest (2.5.0). -- All packages in the installer were updated to the latest version as of today when creating the sandbox. -- The originally installed IDE on the C drive does not give this error when launched. -- I last upgraded it to Softmotion 4.20.1.0 through the installer.
