Recently I’ve been exploring ATSCADA iEnergy Tools for SCADA-based energy monitoring systems. One thing I find interesting is how modern SCADA platforms are evolving beyond traditional machine monitoring. Many industrial systems are now using Cloud SCADA architectures for centralized energy management, remote dashboards, and operational analytics. Dear josepmariarams, this (internal) function has been removed with SoftMotion 4.17.0.0. We do not have public functions to compute the extrema of a polynomial. On which polynomials exactly did you call SMC_Polynomial_AbsMaxLocs? (Maybe if I understand better how you limit the jerk I can come up with an alternative.) There is no functionality to limit the jerk of individual axes in the CNC. With SMC_LimitDynamics, you can limit the velocity and acceleration of cartesian (X/Y/Z) and additional (P/Q/U/V/W/A/B/C) axes, but not the jerk. And with a quadratic ramp type you can limit the jerk on the path. Best regards, Georg

I would like to suggest adding support for persistent read-only references or pointers in CODESYS, similar to a C++ pointer-to-const (const T*). For example, something conceptually similar to: POINTER TO CONSTANT ST_MyData or REFERENCE TO CONSTANT ST_MyData The important distinction is that the reference itself may still be passed around or reassigned, but the referenced object cannot be modified through that reference. CODESYS currently supports VAR_IN_OUT CONSTANT, which provides read-only reference semantics for parameters, but there does not appear to be an equivalent type that can be stored in a variable or returned from a method. A practical use case is a registry that owns long-lived definitions. The registry needs to retain ownership of the data while downstream systems maintain persistent references to it. Currently, the main options are: Return the struct by value, which loses reference semantics and requires a copy. Return POINTER TO ST_Definition, which allows consumers to modify registry-owned data. Convert the structure into a Function Block and expose a getter-only interface, which provides the desired encapsulation but introduces more complexity and memory overhead. A read-only reference/pointer type would allow libraries to expose persistent, zero-copy access to internally owned data while preserving encapsulation. This would be particularly useful for library APIs and object-oriented CODESYS architectures where ownership of data should remain with one component while other components are allowed to observe it. Similar requests for constant references/pointers have been discussed on CODESYS Forge previously, so this appears to be a recurring use case rather than something specific to one application.

Hi everyone, I am still having device logon problem following a fresh install Here are the STEPS I went through following a FRESH CODESYS Win 64 3.5.19.60 install on a different computer. ‘Gateway not configured properly’ when attempting to REFRESH from the Users and Groups. Then did Gateway manage and confirmed it was ok: This message popped out as it was a fresh install: YES then: Initially went with Administrator twice (user & password) but it did not like it. No device is responding to …: Continued by setting a new user Pressed OK and obtained the following message: Stopped and Restarted PLC at that point: Obtained the following: Attempted to login a 2nd time without success. Then I scanned the network to see if matching device can be detected: Only way to get it detected was to remove the tick in the ‘Hide non-matching devices…’ Attempted a WINK but got a return like this one: REFRESH either @ Users and Groups or @ Access Rights returns: Then created user ‘mp’ at Project level ang logged in: Understandably device user mp9876 was not valid for the Project. Device information A few questions comes to my mind following these connection attempts: 1- Gateway not configured properly message pops out because of a non-compatible device ? 2- Why would the device not be compatible ? 3- Any way to make the device compatible ? 4- Any ideas on how to get this connectivity problem to the device solved ?

I have an IFM cr1077 display. I would like to show B&R mapp view on IFM visualization. I used coedsys web browser elemnt for this. I could see IFM working fine in Internet web browser but IFM device shows white screen and freezes. I think there is problem with IFM showing the web browser. Is my understanding of the web visu right? am I doing any mistake here?

Hi, I have the same problem. However I am using ethernet connection not USB. I can ping the PLC and also connect to it via Wago ethernet settings, but I cannot upload using the Codesys 2.3. My PLC is Wago 750-862. The detailed error is - " connect: Connection refused Write attempt from invalid socket. " Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, I am new to modbusTCP and I am trying to access Input registers from codesys (3.5.SP13). The offset is 16#0000 and I am trying to access Channel 1[24] %IW24 to pull analog values. I am using pyModbusTCP and I need to supply a modbus address and the number of registers to read. What does 16#0000 mean in terms of the actual offset, how do I translate this number plus the channel to access this info via python? Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

As most of the posts are moved here around 2015, what would be the right version of codesys to run? Would it be better to install a older version of codesys or should i keep on downgrading libraries? Is there any work done to update theses libraries? It´s been a few years since the last update in this post, are there new libraries/devices for raspberry being added/posted somewhere else? Hello, I'm using the new Codesys 3.5 SP19 Patch 4 version with CODESYS Control for Raspberry Pi MC SL v4.8. Compared to the Codesys 3.5 SP19 Patch 1 version, the context menu on a Trace object no longer works. So I can no longer run the Downloader Trace command. Hi everybody, I am looking for a solution to send files, for example, to an ftp or a cloud. I can't use oscat library because 64 bit controller are not supported. Therefore, I see that the IIoT library has some functions that might help me to implement this sending process in codesys. Does anyone have any examples of how to do this? I have spent some days with this issue without success. Best regards.

Hello, The title pretty much says it all. When trying to open a FB from the CFC/Ladder/SFC editors while online, the FB does not open in an online view of that specific instance. Instead, it opens an offline view with '???' shown for the value of any variable. This makes debugging extremely cumbersome, as I have to find each FB in the POU window and select the specific instance I am trying to view. Anyone know the cause/solution for this? Thanks.

Hi, I have Proxmox running on a Rasperry 4 and have debian 12 ARM installed here. I wanted to install Codesys Control for Raspberry on it. According to the messages, the runtime environment and the gateway were installed successfully, but I can't find a device to downplay a program. The sudo service codesys start command fails. I'm having trouble with the initial loading of recipes. I can create them and load one or the other, but when the program restarts the recipes are not listed. I'm calling: RecipeManCommands.ReloadRecipes and then RecipeManCommands.GetRecipeCount which returns 0 recipes. None of the methods returns error and if i call them again after RecipeManCommands.CreateRecipe RecipeManCommands.ReadAndSaveRecipe getRecipeCount returns the number of recipes created. When i restart the system, once again they are not listed even though the recipe files are there. Any ideas? Martin Btw, Codesys 3.5 SP 16 Path 9

I seem to be having a problem with the license on ver 3.5.19 patch 5 The runtime keeps going into demo mode but it wont tell me the reason I looked at the license software metrics and the visu doesn't appear to be working I attached screen shots of the metrics screen and the license dongle that is plugged in to the windows PC Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this

I was answering your last paragraph Meanwhile, I would like to understand why the motion FB instances must still be called even after the Execute is set to FALSE, especially in view of the fact that the next instruction is programmed to abort the previous one, with BufferMode set to 'Aborting'. All these unnecessary FB calls are an unnecessary overhead on the CPU anyway. Is there any precise rule about when to cease calling the various instances? (It should precisely be the 'done' status that says this one has finished its work).

Hello everyone, I’m integrating Codesys with Kepserver using the Kepware driver for Codesys, and I need to configure a user account with the minimum necessary privileges to read and write to the tags on the PLC, without using the internal OPC UA server of Codesys. However, despite not assigning the Modify permission, Kepware still allows writing to the tags. What are the minimum required permissions to ensure that writing is only allowed when necessary, and how can I prevent other permissions from being overridden? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Hello everyone Since I have installed Codesys 3.5.20sp2 I cannot get the profinet features working again. Now I get RPC Blocked during device scan (see attached file) and when online I get RPC-call error (see attached file). I run Codesys on the last version of Windows 11, Profinet ports have been added to Firewall rules, and even with disabled Firewall I get same result I really never seen that before Same result using another PC I already spent 2 days to find the issu without any success, I would appreciate some help, thank you! Hello, I use the Library NBS from "caa net base services". After opening the Project i get 19 errors from the message window "Precompilation", most of them because it doesn't recognise a component of the FB "NBS.UD_Peer". (see photo) After compiling the Project at least 2 times, there are no errors. Is there a reason and solution for this behavior? Is there a problem with resolving the library? Thanks for any clue
