Hi Reinier, What usually works for me is settings it up in the following way: In the sender block make sure that the list identifier is unique for the whole installation (this is only relevant when you have multiple senders in 1 network). When you are linking the NVL to a file make sure that the path to this file doesn't change. In my experience the NVL stops working when you change the working directory and afterwards open the NVL in de Codesys IDE. If this doesn’t apply to you application, you could also try to change the port number, maybe there is an other process making use of port 1202. Kind regards Alex

1) it should be possible to access the type SysTime in the project as A_Lib.SysTime. 2) you could add the SysTimeCore library to the library manager of your library (POU Pool). This might seem as a double library, but because of the placeholder resolution only one will be used. Then, in your library manager of your library, select the SysTimeCore library, right-click, select "Properties" and enable the option "Publish all IEC symbols ...." I've been moving in the same direction. For new libraries, I'm trying to minimize dependencies on APIs that look like they're being phased out unless the documentation explicitly recommends them. For synchronization primitives like CAA.BOLT and CAA.SEMA, I'd love to see an official replacement or abstraction layer that's guaranteed to remain stable across runtimes. That would make library development much cleaner than relying on platform-specific SysLib* implementations or conditional compilation everywhere. Until there's clearer guidance, my approach has been to isolate the locking mechanism behind a small wrapper interface. If CODESYS changes the recommended API in the future, only that wrapper needs to be updated instead of every library that uses it. I'm looking for a smart and short way to implement initialization of visualization variables depending on the visualization input. For an easy example consider a rectangle which rests at XPos := 0 when the input state is false and at XPos := 50 when the input state is true. My visualization variables look like this: VAR_IN_OUT State : BOOL; END_VAR VAR XPos : INT; END_VAR I put this rectangle via a visualization frame element into another visualization and link a frame reference variable with the state to it. If the variable is true, the rectangle should rest at XPos := 50 and false at XPos := 0 at visualization init but how should I assign the 50 or 0 to the internal visualization variable XPos? I would need some init-methode for the visualization but I dont want a global init-method for such tasks. I want to do it inside of the visualization element but I can't see any solution for this? It would be good to be able to define ST-code within the visualization element which runs cyclic at each VISU_TASK task-cycle then I could just check the input state and change the XPos accordingly. Does someone have a solution?

I'm having some troubles with this same issue and I'm wondering if someone can help me out. On a settings visual I allow the operator to enter some values however if they activate the page change button it will change the change with the Numpad dialog open. Since I'm using Visuelems.CURRENTVISU to change the pages I came across this code noted below for determining if the Numpad dialog was active. This code worked great however now in 3.5.19 it's now obsolete. I've tried following the directions in the attached program above however I can't see to get it to work in my program. Can anyone provide some help to determine if a dialog is open? This "FB_Init" error has become very annoying lately. It's usually related to webvisu and is resolved by deleting all objects and related libraries. Of course, you need to re-add the deleted objects. Lately, we've generally been managing by not upgrading, but this problem persists in every version since SP20 and should be resolved. I updated a project from SP 19 to SP 21 and found 116 similar errors. That’s a classic CODESYS quirk. As soon as you enable AllowFileTransferServices=1, the web server locks down and demands authentication for everything, including WebVisu sessions. Since you're on a Raspberry Pi / Linux, trying to make the built-in CODESYS web server do both secure file handling and unauthenticated kiosk visu is usually a losing battle. A couple of ways to get around this: The cleaner route (separate the jobs): Turn AllowFileTransferServices back off in the config so your kiosk WebVisu opens freely without any login prompts. Then, handle the file download outside of CODESYS — just run a dead-simple Nginx/lighttpd file server or a tiny Python script on the Pi pointed at your export folder (/var/opt/codesys/...). That way your PLC security stays intact, and the kiosk screen just works. If you really want it through CODESYS: Check your Device -> Users and Groups in the IDE. Make sure the Everyone / Anonymous user group actually has explicit view permissions checked for the Visualization. Sometimes when file services are toggled, anonymous users lose the default visu-read rights and get booted straight to the login dialog. URL / Browser trick for kiosk: If the Pi is just opening a local browser on startup, you can sometimes pass the basic credentials in the browser launch script or use a small reverse proxy on localhost to inject the headers automatically so you don't see the popup. Honestly, running a lightweight HTTP/FTP endpoint on Linux (option 1) is by far the least headache.

As far as I know I can only upload client certificates to the PLC and move it to "Trusted", "Untrusted" and "Quarantined". Same question is on sps-forum.de

looks like you are running in a bug in the newest version 4.4.0 of the profinet library or the new library triggers a bug in your code. did you update your profinet device too? you could try to downgrade to an older version of the library. via library manager - placeholders, double click Profinet 4.4.0 in the library column and choose an older version.

Thanks for your responses. The close listener sounds like an interesting approach, will have to see what I can do with it. I actually solved it as suggested by sturmghost by setting an enum variable to a certain state as soon as I open a dialog. This way I always know which dialog was opened last.

You need to create an array with one element for each possible user. I usually define these arrays in the root screen. I implemented the parts from the CAA Device Diagnosis Example.project and could use it for switching on and off, the CAN devices that were located under the CANbus and CANopen_Manager. But i can't do the same with I2C_master_test_version or devices below this one. In the example project there is only the EtherCAT Master, CANbus and CANopen_Manager, and Ethernet with devices below.

Hi, sorry I was not there for a long time. The TCA9548 needs terminating resistors, do you have them in? That's why I went to QWIIC, the muxboard already has them built in. If it still does not work, try it first without the muxboard. PS: Note the channel assignment. Muxboard 0 = I2C_Master 1,0,0,0,0,0,0,0 Muxboard 1 = I2C_Master 2,0,0,0,0,0,0,0 etc.

What worked for me with this error was to go to Tools -> Update Raspberry Pi, select Install, and from the popup screen, there are options to change your installation (I changed it to single core, instead of multicore), and I was then able to connect to my Rpi 4.

Hi, I just tried the example project with control WIN x64 and for me this is working correct. The only difference is that it is showing 'TabletPortrait' when i hold my smartphone in portrait mode and 'Monitor' when i hold my smartphone in landscape mode. This is because smartphone resolutions have increased i guess... You could check what resoution is detected and change accordingly in IsSmartphone method.

After installing this new 4.12.0.0 SL version on my RPi5 8GB and the latest bootloader, the runtime disappeared after 15secs. The bootloader my pi uses is from 2024-06-11. My current approach involves using a for loop and string concatenation, but with 20,000 elements in the array, this method takes almost 7 seconds and negatively affects the PLC scan time. OK, that makes sense. Because the FB is provided a specific interval period, it would change the target position accordingly based on the time it "thought" elapsed. If it has the wrong interval provided, it updates the target positions every cycle incorrectly so the axes will end up moving faster or slower. Thanks!
