Good morning @mondinmr, I'm trying to install codesys 3.5.20.0 inside bottles (with wine 9.2). The full installation seems to be done (exept CodeMeter). When I run Codesys IDE an error related to IPMCLI appear and there is non chanse to open the IDE. How did you solve this issue? Thanks a lot.

You can enable "Sync Producing" in the configuration of the CANopen Manager. Then this manager will send a SYNC message every interval you set. Depending on your PDO configuration, the CAN nodes can send a PDO on every Sync (cyclic-synchronous). If this is not possible, then as alternative you can send a low level CAN message with COB-ID 16#80.

Bitmap Image (outlined in Red in attachment) with it’s configure window open in Codesys 2.3.9.55. Image doesn’t show-up in on-line Web Visu (this project only). No problem with bitmap images in all other codesys 2.3 projects. Web visu in Internet Explorer since 2.3 Web visualizations don't work in Edge.

Hello, We are trying to implement an automated method of adding of a certificate and private key to the Windows certificate store for encrypting CODESYS projects. We want to do this so that users do not have to deal with details of certificates at all and to prevent user error. We are keen on enforcing strong private key protection since it ensures that a password is required for the certificate to be used to decrypt a CODESYS project. When we add a certificate to the certificate store and enable strong key protection using the Microsoft Management Console Certificates snap-in, it works as expected. However, through this method the user may mistakenly not enable strong private key protection. For the certificates we create programmatically (using Microsoft’s Cryptography Next Generation API in .Net 7) bag attributes are added to the certificate and key by the API. These bag attributes are as follows: Bag Attributes localKeyID: 01 00 00 00 subject=C = xx, ST = xxx, O = xxx, OU = xxx, CN = xxx issuer=C = xx, ST = xxx, L = xxx, O = xxx, OU = xxx, CN = xxx -----BEGIN CERTIFICATE----- [encoded certificate] -----END CERTIFICATE----- After using this certificate with bag attributes to encrypt a CODESYS project, it can’t be decrypted, showing this error: "The specified project could not be loaded. Possible reasons might be: - The project file is corrupted or invalid - The project has been saved with a newer version of the programming system. If this is the case, you can open the project in the corresponding version. Choose "Save as..." with the appropriate storage version, and retry again. - You may not have the necessary permissions to lad the project" We know that the bag attributes are causing the issue because if we manually edit the certificate file to remove them before using the certificate to encrypt a project, the project can be decrypted as expected. However, we are unable to automatically enforce strong key protection using this method. Hallo Today I decided to perform an Update on my PFC200 but after the Update the Device was not reachable anymore. I tried reseting to factory reset. Software reset and so on, but nothing helps... In my Router I can see it, I cann SSH into the PFC200 but it is not reachable. Then I try to go back to 4.8.0.0 But now I get this error: [INFORMATION] Befehl SSH auf root@192.168.1.17 ausführen: Laufzeitsystem stoppen [FEHLER] Fehlerausgabe: /etc/init.d/codesyscontrol: line 34: /opt/codesys/scripts/init-functions: No such file or directory [INFORMATION] Standardausgabe: /etc/init.d/codesyscontrol: line 34: /opt/codesys/scripts/init-functions: No such file or directory Please help, I can't get this thing working... Hi, Is there a process to restore Persistence Manager files? I have backups of persistence variables used in a machine that is currently operating and tuned and all set points adjusted. There are about 500 persistence variables, they are building another identical machine. I would like to use Persistence Manager files from the first machine in the second also. I have tried copying the files and replacing them on the new RPI but then the Persistence Manager gets errors and then they are all reset to 0 etc I have tried adjusting the times to match. Instead of replacing whole file, I tried just changing the contents inside the file, but still does not work. I may be missing something here, but surely there must be a way to load a backup. Thanks!

Hi DavidBo, In general Codesys is used to control equipment and an exception is the worst thing that can happen in your installation. If you cannot prevent the exception from triggering, you could implement a Try catch statement, with this solution your controller keeps on running and you are able to handle the exception. __TRY //This statement will trigger an exception Result := 4/0; __CATCH(exc) //Handle the exception HandleException(exc, strExceptionText => strExceptionText); // From the Codesys help file //Create a log file //-------------------------------------------------------- __ENDTRY What you also could do is implement implicit checks, these functions cover most of the exceptions (like dividing by zero) See picture But in general avoid a complete controller shutdown!

I have added a models in SiOME which a software to design nodes and add instances. and created a resultant xml file. I tried to import the xml file to Codesys through OPC UA information model Repository the problem i don't know how to view my objects which i have designed. and map it to my PLC to make viewable on my server UaExpert. I watched the tutorial video https://youtu.be/aJhzN3Uk-Do?feature=shared. But it only give you how to add the Information model, and my resultant model doesn't have information type. So how in Codesys i can view a model which i have designed in SiOME and mapped my instances (Objects, Variable or methods) with my Variables in PLC I saw people do it in Tia Portal or other Software, but i have no clue how to do it on CODESYS

Hi, so far I have only used one com port - built-in interface in RPi - RS232 (dev/serial0) as COM1 in Codesys, and my CODESYControl_User.cfg have congiuration like below: [SysCom] Linux.Devicefile=/dev/serial portnum := COM.SysCom.SYS_COMPORT1 Actually I added to my Rpi Hat with 2xRS232 (SPI). - /dev/spidev0.0 and /dev/spidev0.1 How I should change my CODESYControl_User.cfg file to use added porta as COM2 and COM3 in Codesys ?

I have code written since version 3.5.16 to access the USB drive, how can I do that now the file access has been taken away? I have tried adding a sybolic link to the usb drive in the following directories: /var/opt/codesys/PlcLogic/ /var/opt/CODESYS/PlcLogic/ /opt/CODESYS/PlcLogic/ I still recieve a "FILE_OPERATION_DENIED" response when accessing the USB drive.

We changed the path where the CSV file is. From intern memory of the IPC to a USB key. We still have this error 'INVALID_HANDLE'. We must restart the Codesys runtime to clear it. That is a big problem for us because machine is in production. @eschwellinger What do you mean by "this is a security issue not to read/write in the plc allowed path"

In the process, I noticed that Visu images are created before the merge and transform, i.e. "screenshots" of the different Visus. Unfortunately, these are not used in the later process (Merge/Transform). Is there a way to set it up so that they are found in the html file?

I don't know the root cause... But what could help to continue when it seems to hang, is stop the CODESYS (communication) Gateway. Go to the Windows SysTray, find the icon for the Gateway and then stop it and start it again. This will interrupt the connection between CODESYS and your controller.

Hey schnepper, when i look into your c-file, i would say that only the main-function is declared with cext-addendum in your codesys-library-project. all yöur funtions in library has to be the cext-addendum when the external implementation is activ. if i remeber right, methods and other subelements dont need that, but every base-elements
