I have experienced the same with one of our customers after updating EIP Scanner to 4.6.0.0 and really baffled by it. The core dump simply shows error with ENIPScanner I/O task and on analyzing it says no source code available for 4.6.0.0. Contemplating to go back to 4.5.1 but 4.6.0.0 has some really nice fixes. I guess it don't matter if it crashes anways. Please keep us posted if you find anything.

4.11 appears to solve the problem. Thanks for your help. I had first installed the 64-bit version of RPiOS, but looking at various posts and the product's page on the store which only lists 32-bit compatibility, I downgraded to the 32-bit version. I did this before trying 4.11, and it did not solve the problem. Thus my working system is 32-bit, and I am wondering if I can go back to 64-bit or not. An 64-bit OS is not listed as compatible on the store's web page, but when installing there actually is a 64-bit version listed (automatically chosen when installing on 64-bit, but otherwise greyed out). Is 64-bit supported and the website is out-of-date, or is that some kind of work-in-progress?

Hi! I tried setting up the PLC I'm working with (Beijer GN-9373) to connect to a modbus master running on a laptop. I have an ethernet connection (via USB-C to ethernet) between the laptop and the controller. I have tried following tutorial on how to set this up. I have added an ethernet device with the IP-address of the PLC. Further I added a ModbusTCP_Slave_Device with default settings. I get the error "Failed to open TCP Port: 1" when I try to go online with the PLC. Earlier I tested the exact same set up with the soft PLC from codesys. I can then read/write values correctly with the Modbus master i have running on the laptop. Hope anybody can help me with this, thanks in advance!

Hello, I am working on an application where I need to remap PDOs to a different CANopen object during runtime depending on what value is at a specific register. I have gotten to the point where I put the device into Preoperational State using the CIA405.NMT function. I then reconfigure the PDO 180x and 1a0x obejcts usings SDOs to point to a new canopen object on the device however when I go to restart the Device from PREOP to OP using the CIA405.NMT function the device is reset back to the original configuration as per the initial setup. I am wondering is there any way to change the PDOs at runtime is there some more functionaility I can access to do this. Any direction is appreciated!

ABB Automation Builder v2.5.0.22 Premium CodeSys 2.3.9.62 Running on Win 10 VM x64 Goal: I have an EtherCAT topology issue which normally a "Scan for devices.." on the EtherCAT master would shed some light on. Issue: Upon trying such I get a "No gateway selected" error. Question: How might I point the the "scanner" at a gateway? What is working: Gateway is running in system tray. I can go online to PLC. A scan from the "Diagnostics live" tab of the EtherCAT master gives slave status. What I have tried: Restarting gateway in system tray. Exiting system tray gateway and reloading it. Turning off firewall. Contacting ABB support multiple times. Any help appreciated.

Hello, You use the WAGOUpload tool. You can download it on the download center of WAGO. Make a backup and restore it on the new device. (if can check the remanent data to copy the persistent variables if necessary) You can also use a SD card, go to the WBM copy it the image to the SD card and restart the other controller on the SD card. In the WBM, copy it back to the internal flash. If you contact your local Wago office, they will more than probably help you. There is also a WAGO forum. RP,

If you are not using any specific Raspberry Pi functionality, then probably the "universal" Control Linux ARM SL is the approriate runtime to run on the Pi. For the license it doesn't matter which runtime version you choose, because this is not hardware based anymore, but application based. Best is to use the latest version of CODESYS. To determine which license you need, double click on your device, go to the tab License metrics.... Generate the code for your application and see which license you need based on the metrics of your application.

Hello Matteo, I think the problem is about configuration of firewall (windows firewall usually). You can disable temporary the firewall to check if the communication works. Eventually you can: Go to the control panel -> Windows Defender Firewall -> Allow an app or feature Enable the options to change the settings. Scroll down in the application list to CODESYS and CODESYS ControlService. If you don’t see this application add it to the list. Make sure that all the checkboxes are checked (Domain, Private and public).

I bought and installed SoftMotion Light now. When I try to add a SoftMotion Light Axis to my stepper drive and I go online it shows: "The license is missing or invalid". See picture What am I doing wrong? This is the right way right? First add your EtherCat XML-File from your stepper driver and then add the SoftMotion Light axis right? Thanks for your help esave

Using V19 Patch 7 and 4.11.0.0 for Pi 4 Model B, My problem is whenever I change a tag e.g bool from true to false it will change in software but the pin will only go high to low after pressing stop PLC in codesys and same if i want to bring it back to high, have to login start plc change it and stop plc in order to change. any insight ? thanks

When trying to move my axis using any group move instruction I get the following error: SMC_CP_INVALID_PATH_ELEM and axisgroup goes into errorstop state. I tested my methods thoroughly which makes it hard for me to debug. Are there some hidden rules I need to abide to? How would one go about debugging a custom robotics model, since the information inside isn't accesible. Is it possible to find the source of where the function breaks? Any hint in the right direction would be appreciated. Best regards

Trying to utilize the persistence manager, but system do not write to file and do not create the config file. System is a Linux SL, version 4.13.0.0 Problems with persistence/config started when I had other problems to go online, I deleted the config file and the persistent files, but the system will not re-create them. I have tried to remove/re-install the "PersistenceManager"-module, create the folder-structure myself. And also reinstall the linux-runtime but its clearly not working. Any help appreciated.

Hallo Today I decided to perform an Update on my PFC200 but after the Update the Device was not reachable anymore. I tried reseting to factory reset. Software reset and so on, but nothing helps... In my Router I can see it, I cann SSH into the PFC200 but it is not reachable. Hallo goodmorning, I am using codesys 3.5 sp19 with Weidmueller PLC. I created a page with several checkbox to manage an array of bool. When I build the project the system doesn't signal any error, when I go in simulation mode everything works until I click on checkbox to toggle the variables. Other visu elements works proprerly (e.g. bottons, lights, ect, ect) but the check boxes cause a crash giving the following error: Error while processing the visualization: Client id not present or no longer valid I serched to figure the problem out and to search a solution on the web but nothing. Hi everybody, recently I was checking how many time consuming manual tasks I can perform with python scripts through ScriptEngine. I have in the project many devices and currently I export bootprojects for them by right clicking on Application, then go Export -> Bootproject and firmware (SD Card) and then point folder where files should be exported. It's fine if project has few devices, but I have some of them with over 30 devices and manual clicking like that is very time consuming. How can I do it with python script? So far I found "create_boot_application" method from Application object (taken by projects.primary.find('Application', True)) but it only generates .app and .crc file instead of full structure to store on SD card (FIRMWARE, USERDATA, SDCARD.INI, Version, Version.txt.sig). Should I use some method to control user interface? Best regards, Adam

Hi I am trying to use STRUCT to parse commands from Modbus/TCP, Modbus client will fill the bytes related to a specific command (type, parameters), then PLC (Codesys) will access the command parameters. A STRUCT will simplify a lot the process of parsing the data, so I don't need to parse byte per byte, address will be mapped to a struct and I can use it for parsing the data. From what I understood, the compiler does not allow me to specify the location of the struct for a %MW register. VAR_COMMAND AT %MW1002: structGenericModbusCommand; This will throw: Bad declaration, use '%ML' for 'structGenericModbusCommand' variable But If I change it to %ML, when you go online you see that it is actually allocating the struct in another memory address. When we go online, on GVL we can see: VAR_COMMAND. structGenericModbusCommand %ML1002 commandType COMMANDTYPE %MB8016 ... %MB8020 I am not specifying a pointer or a reference it is a struct type, why is it mapping to a %MW location (random one). How can I control where it is mapping to? I need a consistent way to map STRUCT to specific modbus address. Is it possible? I am attempting to place a block and make it an Analog sensor. When I go to change the name like in the instructional video on youtube it does not give me an option to autofill the block with a known configuration. This is a problem I have in Codesys 2.5 and 3.5. Did I mess up the install of the program or need to install a library?
