I believe it should be available. It may be the case, that your device does not support the alarm configuration. Some smaller PLCs sometimes do not support it. You can try changing to a different device, like a Codesys Control Win, in your project, and see if then allows you to add the alarm configuration.

Hi everybody, I want to execute more than once cam fb simultaneously so blending cam and thus blending velocity without stop motion. But as far I know codesys dont support directly cam blending. But I beleeive there is a some solving. I request your support. But there is important thing is I want to change cam table cam on the fly. For example FlyingSaw application change cutting lenght.

Hello, our team is able to use Raspberry Pi on CODESYS, but we purchased two peripherals that utilize I2C and we cannot figure out how to access these devices in CODESYS. Hello everyone! I'm facing a weird issue with CODESYS Control Win V3 x64 on a fresh Windows install. The situation is as follows: CODESYS Modbus TCP Server (Slave) is running and I can see live values in the mapping display of Modbus settings: GVL (e.g., 32, 42, 50). Port 502 is LISTENING according to netstat. When connecting via Modbus Poll or Node-RED, the connection status changes to ESTABLISHED and everything reports as fine. The Problem: Despite the successful connection, all holding registers return 0 no matter what. It's like the OS accepts the TCP handshake, the request counter goes up but the data payload never reaches Modbus Client (in this case Node-RED or Modbus Poll). Quick Stats: Firewall: Completely OFF. Unit ID: Verified & Matching. IP: Tried 127.0.0.1 and 192.168.0.1. Interface: Correctly bound in Ethernet Device settings. I already tried absolutely everything from changing IP address, subnet, port, deleting the project and starting new one and even nuking my old Windows install. Since I am near completion of my bachelor thesis only thing left for me to do is connect SoftPLC to NodeRED via Modbus but this issue is driving me crazy for weeks. I do not know what to do anymore.

Hi, in my experience, the best options for such a case could be: 1. Pass a FunctionBlock via VAR_IN_OUT, containing all variables, mehods and properties needed for the logic of this graphic element (be aware of implementing correcly both get and set accessor for properties) 2. Pass an Interface via VAR_INPUT, of which you can use obviously only Properties and Methods. This is much more elegant for me. Here, you can just pass directly the instance of a FunctionBlock implementing such Interface as input. Hope you'll find this suggestions useful.

I'm trying to firm up alarming of axis faults. Declutter the code and figure out what's what. Diving into it, I see the AXIS_REF_SM3 function block provides uiDriveInterfaceError and dwErrorId, but I can't find any significance of these further than Drive interface error number Parameter number: 1014 and Drive specific error identifier, parameter number: 1031, respectively. Is there some corresponding appendix I could use to decode these? Also, is there any relation to the Error ID (of type SMC_Error) of the MC POUs? MC_Jog, MC_Reset, MC_MoveRelative, etc? If so, are the above errors redundant? Thanks in advance.

Hi kenth1973, MC_Phasing has been improved in recent versions. I would recommend to install the latest version of SoftMotion (4.20.1.0) and test whether the problem still exists, and if so, what the error identifier is. (Also check the PLC log in this case, it might contain additional information.) Setting the internal state of the FB is not recommended, it could lead to malfunction of the FB and unintended movements of the drive. Best regards, Georg

Hi, We are currently using a Raspberry Pi 4 CM4 module in a EdgeBox RPI 200 - Industrial Edge Controller running the latest CODESYS Runtime Package 4.11.0.0. On the PC (actually an Intel Macbook Pro running Windows 10 in Parallels) we run CODESYS V3.5.19.50. Yesterday end of day when I was about to logoff and head home, I wanted to send the latest build to the Raspberry I clicked the Login button to compile a new version and then sync the application and all the files, it get's stuck on the last file to sync (see attached screenshot). This takes eternally, although sometimes, when I use my SFTP client (Cyberduck) and go into the raspberry and refresh the directory /var/opt/codesys/PlcLogic/visu/, or when I open the actual file visuelemsdatetime.tl_datetime.txt, it gets un-stuck (forcing a refresh, which might fix the syncing issue) and CODESYS continues and I can click the Start button to start the application. But this SFTP force refresh trick does not always help either... What could be the issue here? network connectivity? Can someone please help me out?

and if you copy or transfer a project to another place, copy not only the .project, copy .compileinfo .bootinfo and .bootinfo_guids then we figured out it is more often possible to go online without full download. If you build an archiv and extract it, some of this files are missing and login isn't possible without download. I work with V3.5 SP16 Patch 4. I don't know if this problem of the archiv is solved in newer Versions/SP's and I don't know what the problem of Codesys is to help out a lot of programers of this very annoying problem or at least help with a workaround

Hello, I am trying to control shift registers 74HC596 and 74HC165 via Raspberry PI with SPI interface. So far I did it with a Microcontroller and now I wanna upgrade my Projekt with Raspberry Pi and Codesys Software to be more flexible. I tried to adapt PiFace Function Block to just send or recive a 8 bit via SPI interface of the my Raspberry Pi. With following code (see attached screenshots) * PLC_PRG * PiFaceDigital * PiFaceDigital.write8 * PiFaceDigital.read8 I have a signal at SCK and MOSI pin of the PI, so far so good. But I really struggle with the unterstanding of the code. Is there some detailed description of each line of code? Or is there somebody in the community who can explain each line of code? Or is there a more simple way to send / recive 8 bit via SPI? Manuel

I have a test application and use Codesys Control for Rasp Pi SL. I made a mistake and updated device from MSL to MC SL, and now if I try to go online with archived version of the project I gett error message that IDs are different between project device and target device. Of course, I can go online if I changed device in the project from SL to MC SL, but I'm not sure that is correct. So I have two questions: 1. What is the actual difference between MC SL device and standard SL device when it comes to raspberry pi 4? 2. What change I need to do on raspberry pi4 side to change device back from MC SL to SL?
