and if you copy or transfer a project to another place, copy not only the .project, copy .compileinfo .bootinfo and .bootinfo_guids then we figured out it is more often possible to go online without full download. If you build an archiv and extract it, some of this files are missing and login isn't possible without download. I work with V3.5 SP16 Patch 4. I don't know if this problem of the archiv is solved in newer Versions/SP's and I don't know what the problem of Codesys is to help out a lot of programers of this very annoying problem or at least help with a workaround

Hello, I am trying to control shift registers 74HC596 and 74HC165 via Raspberry PI with SPI interface. So far I did it with a Microcontroller and now I wanna upgrade my Projekt with Raspberry Pi and Codesys Software to be more flexible. I tried to adapt PiFace Function Block to just send or recive a 8 bit via SPI interface of the my Raspberry Pi. With following code (see attached screenshots) * PLC_PRG * PiFaceDigital * PiFaceDigital.write8 * PiFaceDigital.read8 I have a signal at SCK and MOSI pin of the PI, so far so good. But I really struggle with the unterstanding of the code. Is there some detailed description of each line of code? Or is there somebody in the community who can explain each line of code? Or is there a more simple way to send / recive 8 bit via SPI? Manuel

When I try connect by other OPC UA Client everything is ok. Look like codesys have a problem with 'Tags' group. It possible add manually measurements form 'tag' group to codesys ?

I have a test application and use Codesys Control for Rasp Pi SL. I made a mistake and updated device from MSL to MC SL, and now if I try to go online with archived version of the project I gett error message that IDs are different between project device and target device. Of course, I can go online if I changed device in the project from SL to MC SL, but I'm not sure that is correct. So I have two questions: 1. What is the actual difference between MC SL device and standard SL device when it comes to raspberry pi 4? 2. What change I need to do on raspberry pi4 side to change device back from MC SL to SL? I have a problem with the file transfer library. Namely, it does not work via the codesys server. (error 5; overtime, and visualization resets). They operate mostly in local chains. I tested different browsers and VPN from the router. It works everywhere, except through access from the codesys automation server. The client, having many machines under one account, prefers to keep it that way rather than use an individual VPN just to download a backup. Does anyone have an idea what the problem is? Sylwester M.

Hi k2saki, I would recommend to have a look at SMC_SmoothMerge, followed by SMC_SmoothPath. SmoothMerge will combine the small G1 elements to longer splines, SmoothPath will avoid stops between the splines. https://content.helpme-codesys.com/en/libs/SM3_CNC/Current/SM_CNC_POUs/SoftMotion-CNC/SoftMotion-Function-Blocks/SMC_SmoothMerge.html For SmoothMerge to work, you have to configure a tolerance, i.e. by how much it may deviate from the lines. Ok... but if I create array of struct of reference to - everything works fine - please see the screenshots: and it works this way OK. The other one has mysteriously left. the 2nd and 3rd showed up after I restarted the program. I'm not sure how to take care of them. Please help!

Important to have no GPIO in the project and have this additional tasks.

I got a Wago PFC200V2, running Codesys 3.5.16.40, 100ms scan cycle, consumes about 20ms. It will randomly crash the runtime every 10 minutes to a few hours. We suspect an overloaded ModbusTCP Slave Device, as this is work done by a 3rd party contractor, but we can not find anything in the help files or documentation, that mentions a hard limit on maximum number of clients connections. This PLC currently has 44 client connections to the Slave Device and 29 slaves configured for its own Master Device.
