Post by marks on Regarding trend storage access error CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
I had this problem when running the application as a Simulation. When I wrote it to the Pi all worked as expected. If this isn't the case for you, we've seen some issues with sqlite on the Pi's - so reset Origin and re-download may help in that case. Good luck, Mark

Post by atone on Change IO-Link Device Interface connected to a Profinet-Slave at Runtime CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
OK, I figured out that I can simply define all the sensors as 16 bytes IN/OUT, even if they are not all used. EDIT: The negative effect is that each bit is taken into account as an I/O for the license, even if not used.

Post by lgeertsema on Checkbox font color in visualization style CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Hello, I'm having a similar issue with buttons. I want to be able to set the default color and transparency of a button. I've tried a lot of different iterations like KNewman, but to no avail. Has there been some documentation released since KNewman posted this, or is the style editor still as undocumented as ever?

Post by eschwellinger on New Ladder Diagram conversion does not work due to missing features CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
The "remove unused" parameters have been added to 1.0 version as well as the "manual" removal of pins... also allowed "empty" inputs for blocks is in and the compile error described there should no longer occurs. Drag drop of variables is not yet implemented and I don't think the double-click feature yet either.

Post by felipemsgarcia on Generic EtherCAT slave CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Hello all, I still couldn't find the answer. I wanted to know is if there is a generic EtherCAT slave object already in CODESYS that I can use for anything, remote IO, Drives, VFD's and so on, as long as I match PDO's. Is there such an object? Thank you!

As I see from your logs I think the Timeprovider is not accurate enough in your case. Things to check - at the moment you run it on the same device? (for tesing purpose ok) I would set 127.0.0.0 as IP and set it not really to Core 0 ( many other stuff is there)

Post by mikek10 on Error IoDrvEthernetIP: Connection Failure. (16#1) How to solve CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Your connection configuration should look something like the attachment. Consuming assembly O->T will be the hex of the assembly you want to reference for output data - I want 102 (DO Data Only) shown in the Wago web page 102 = 16#66. Producing assembly (T->O) is the assembly you require for input data - again shown in the Wago web page - I want 108 (DI Data Only) or 16#6C Then set the number of bytes as per the data in the Wago web page too (both 2 in my case)

Post by pernockham on Is there a pragma for init/instantiation of local variables in FB (like in Methods) CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Im using a pointer as input for a FB and for convenience I like to use 'referenced' variable internally. I use this setup in methods which works because internal variables are instantiated for each call. In a FB these variables are instantiated and initiated for the first call only. Is there a pragma/attribute available that changes this behaviour to mirror a 'method'-call?

Post by esther on subdevicesCollapsed attribute in deviceDescriptor CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
I was trying to use subdevicesCollapsed attribute in device descriptor in order to not expand the subdevices when a new device with subdevices is inserted in the device tree. I use this as follows:<fixed subdevicescollapsed="true">. But it seems it doesn`t work. I am ussing Codesys v3.5 SP16 Patch4. Is anything wrong with this? Or am I mistaken with the use of this attirbute?</fixed>

Post by mejak on Raspberry Pi USB HID RFID Reader - read ID in plc program CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Hello, I have an RFID reader that is detected as a keyboard. While looking for information, I came across examples using visualization. I would like to read the ID without visualization or external code in python, only in PLC. I found on the forum that you can try reading directly from potru /dev/... https://forge.codesys.com/forge/talk/Runtime/thread/24b3527036/ How to read values directly in codesys? Or maybe there is another solution? Best Regards

Post by gseidel on Axis directions in CNC editor not using right-hand rule? CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Hi bertus, the coordinate systems used in SoftMotion CNC are all right-handed. The CNC editor uses isometric projection. This can be confusing, as in your example. The y-axis seems to point into the screen, away from the viewer. However, this is just an optical effect. If you turn on the (experimental) perspective projection (must be added to the CNC tool bar using tools->customize), you can see that the coordinate system is in fact right-handed. Best regards, Georg

Post by niloufar on Execution Order of Function Blocks CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Hi, Our program incorporates various function blocks and programs written in different languages such as St and SFC. They implement numerous actions and methods using different languages from their function blocks. My question is whether the execution order of function blocks is associated with the programming languages used. I understand that cycle time can be configured in the task configuration, but I'm curious if there is a specific sequence order of execution for function blocks written in different languages. For example, all function blocks in (ST) are executed first, followed by the execution of (SFC). Specifically, when the function is written in (ST) and the action is implemented in (SFC). I modified all function blocks in the main PLC program and configured a task configuration for the main program.

Post by ron-rp on Errors with VisuUserManagement library CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Hi all, I've played a bit with the VisuUserManagement library, and some other security option in my project, and I started getting this error when logging in - see attached pic. something to do with a specific screen in the library - VUM_Login. Also, Codesys started to ask me to log in to the library when logging in, asking to log in as user of the groups Maintainer or Owner, which I dont know either users (attached pic). when I close the login screen and try to log in to the PLC again, everything works again until I close and open Codesys. I do use user and password to login to the PLC, and this login screen is fine I know the user and pass I setup. anyone know what did I do wrong here and how to fix it?
