Hello, I program a function for an Ethernet/IP controller. I made a structure with input and output corresponding with the map of my controller for the function block. My problem is that I don't know how to do the link between the controller and my PLC (CC 100 from Wago). The addresses declare in Codesys are illogic, The first addresses are 12 and 13 then 7 then 4. How to do corresponding the addresses of the controller and the input / output structure ? IP adress ? Does I must create the all variables of controller with the controller adresses to use with the function block ? Thanks for your help. (I hope I'm clear, I'm not english)

Hello, You use the WAGOUpload tool. You can download it on the download center of WAGO. Make a backup and restore it on the new device. (if can check the remanent data to copy the persistent variables if necessary) You can also use a SD card, go to the WBM copy it the image to the SD card and restart the other controller on the SD card. In the WBM, copy it back to the internal flash. If you contact your local Wago office, they will more than probably help you. There is also a WAGO forum. RP,

I try to add a simple text file to my PLC application, so that is download everytime the application is downloaded to the target. What I did is to add an external file to the application and this works perfect as long as the external file location does not change. It looks like the external file path is stored absolute in project. But if different users work on the project they may have different locations where for their working directory. Is there an option to store the external file path relative e.g. to the project file? Or does s.o. know a different solution to add a text file to application in order to download automatically with the application? Thanks

Hi We upgraded our ptoject from 3.5.19 to 3.5.20 but we get an error message in the latest version. We made our own trend function and its related to this we get error message: Trend_Menu Device: PLC Logic: Application: C0032: Cannot convert type 'RTS_SYSTIMEDATE(systimertc, 3.5.20.0 (system))' to type 'RTS_SYSTIMEDATE(systimertc, 3.5.17.0 (system))' The variables are defined as follow: start : SysTimeRtc.SYSTIMEDATE; end : SysTimeRtc.SYSTIMEDATE; The code that creates the error is the variable start and end IF xAssign THEN xAssign := FALSE; xPanEnable := FALSE; xZoomEnable := FALSE; drs.liFrom := VisuTrendStorageAccess.TrendStorageConvertToTimestamp(start, 0 (us)); drs.liTo := VisuTrendStorageAccess.TrendStorageConvertToTimestamp(end, 0 (us)); drs.m_itfDateRangeSelectorClient.SetCurrentRange(drs.liFrom, drs.liTo); END_IF I cant understand really what the error message means and what can be the cause of the error? Hi In the POU section of my project I have created a Fan function block and defined an alarm group template for this FB with one alarm (Motor fault). In the PLC program I define two instances of the fan function block. When going to the alarm configuration and pressing "Create or update alarm instances", I get two alarms listed. So far so good. However, when I start my program and check the alarm table in the visualization I only see one alarm, even if both are active. Am I doing something wrong, or is it not possible to define alarms on a function block level and get one set of alarms per instance of the function block?

Hello! I am new to codesys so I am sorry if this is not the right place to ask this question. I am using codesys V3.5 SP20 Patch 1 + (64-bit) and a Groov EPIC PLC (GRV-EPIC-PR2). I am trying to build and deploy my application to the PLC, but when I log in I get 6 errors (codesys_error.png). It seems that the errors have to do with the CmpDynamicText system library which I have as version 3.5.20.0. I have tried to add CmpDynamicText to the ComponentManager section in the PLC's CODESYSControl.cfg file as described in this forum post and still hit the same error. I noticed that the library is grayed out in the library manager, which I think might be the issue. However I don't remember if it was grayed out before I encountered this issue. Please let me know if I can provide anymore info. Thank you!!!

I have a Raspberry Pi 4 we have been using for years to run CODESYS for development purposes. I recently have had to re-install the OS (Raspberry OS lite). The only change to the default configuration is not creating the "pi" user during install. I (apparently successfully) installed the 4.10.0.0 control on the Raspberry Pi. We have licences on a dongle. I am able to start the control. systemctl status shows it as running for a little while (exactly, precisely 30 seconds as per my tests, every time), then it becomes exited. I can restart the control, and the same thing happens again. Every time. In the brief moments it is running, I can log in to the PLC. Working fast and restarting the control many times, I have been able to configure users. I have been able to download my application. I have been able to run the application, and stop on a breakpoint. I have been able to connect with the licence manager and confirm the dongle is detected and licences are listed as OK. I see nothing wrong until the service just exits. I have found nothing in the logs. It is like the runtime just terminates with no error code or message after exactly 30 seconds. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello, I'm encountering an issue with the Sysprocess library while attempting to execute commands to transfer a file from a NAS to my PLC. Currently, I'm trying to test a simple "reboot" command, but it doesn't work as demonstrated in this video: https://youtu.be/77c7Af5xRhE?si=uFZdB6fTNQitzWMQ. I'm using CODESYS V3.5 SP18 Patch 4 (3.5.18.40). From other sources, I've learned that to enable the PLC to execute commands, I need to add the following line to the file CODESYSControl_User.txt: [SysProcess] Command=AllowAll However, the issue I'm facing is that this file doesn't exist on my CPU. I have full SSH access and can see all files, but only CODESYSControl.txt is present. Adding the command to CODESYSControl.txt hasn't resolved the problem.

Hi, I tried some different libraries (CmpApp etc.) to find some global variables that I could read out as a variable in the codesys environment. Do any one of you know which libraries are best suited for this, and how I can read it out? My goal is to send messages, warnings etc. to the system that communicates to the PLC. Currently if something goes wrong I need to see the logfiles, or go online with the controller. I think I could save a lot of time if I could read the errors from our user interface that is connected to the PLC by TCP/IP.

PRG_2 fb_2 : fbExample2; fb_2.method_2 if xTest then PRG_1.fb_1.method_1(); end_if; Is there a reason why runtime hangs when I call the method_1 in PRG_1 from a method in PRG_2? Both programs run in the same task. No chance that any other program calls the method. What I practically do there is that in the program PRG_2 I add a structed object into a buffer. In PRG_1 I just process the items in the buffer.
