Hello, if you enter %t as a "Text" on a rectangle and do not link a variable in "Text variable", it automatically displays the system time. My question is, where do if find a variable, that contains exactly this time? I tried numerous variants using GetLocalDateTime or GetSysTime but I always have to manage timezones myself (which I do not want to do). I only want a variable with the date an time from my windows system, where the visualization is running. Where can I find this variable?

Hi, I followed your guidance and used go2rtc. There is a link generated from go2rtc I can copy into the web browser element in the visualisation. It somehow only appear within the software when it is running, but not on the webvisu. I want to display the camera feed onto the webvisu. My camera is reolink 810a which supports IP protocol. My project is pretty simple, just a web browser element with assigned URL.

Now I would like to do some Modbus TCP Client & Modbus RS485. But I am lost due to docker ! When I go to modbus TCP it only gave me the docker network, but not my eth0 & eth01 When I go to modbus rtu, how can I create the link between Com number & my /dev/ttyRS485 Loic,

Hello, I am struggling with Edge gateway to the automation server. It is not possible to establish the link. When I create the Edge in codesys and get it to Automation server, it is red, unable to connect. Scan fails. RPi 4B Runtime 4.13.0.0 Edge gateway 4.13.0.0 Codesys 3.5.2.40 Any idea what to chase? I have been using previous versions of edge gateway. Now I updated all to latest versions, failed. Frustrating.

Hi, In our project, it is not rare to have I/O cards issues. I wanted to have a way to check their statuses ( Eg. INIT, OP, PREOP, etc.. ) I was trying to use the GetDeviceDiagnosisInfo method from the IoConfig_Globals, but there is no info available on the Web with a simple example; does someone have a link to some tutorial or anything else ? The generic sensor FB is for controlling the sensor via its cyclic input (PDI) and output (PDO). In this case, ifm raw cyclic input and output data are WORDs (16 bits total) The PDO data from the Buerkert unit are SINT (8 bits) In this case, I would use the unpackword fb from the CAA memory library to unpack the valve feed back value into the appropriate location.

This is a consequence of how computers store floating point numbers. 0.1 cannot be exactly represented in a computer. This is not a CoDeSys thing. Here is a link to a converter to show you the exact value that is represented when you use a REAL data type (which is a 32 bit float). https://baseconvert.com/ieee-754-floating-point If you really need to keep track of 0.1 increments. use INT OR DINT and then add 1 each time and assume that there is one decimal place.

Wir wollen eine Standardlösung einsetzen, sofern sie dann funktioniert, und sind da auf dieses CodesysObjekt gestoßen. Bisher haben wir da unsere Zweifel an der Implementierung oder der Dokumentation, so werden Bereichstypen bei ganzen Zahlen scheinbar auch nicht korrekt verarbeitet.

Hi I recently started learning Codesys SoftMotion. At first, I mainly used YouTube videos. I stopped at two videos where the same problem keeps recurring. fbReadPos( Axis := X_Axis, Enable := TRUE, Position => gAxes.lrActualPos); <- axis cannot move I checked the entire code line by line. Zero errors. GPT spits out nonsense, throwing up increasingly worse errors. And when I copy its code, it says the code is wrong and gets stuck in a loop of its own stupidity. Hello, I program a function for an Ethernet/IP controller. I made a structure with input and output corresponding with the map of my controller for the function block. My problem is that I don't know how to do the link between the controller and my PLC (CC 100 from Wago). The addresses declare in Codesys are illogic, The first addresses are 12 and 13 then 7 then 4. How to do corresponding the addresses of the controller and the input / output structure ? IP adress ? Does I must create the all variables of controller with the controller adresses to use with the function block ? Thanks for your help. (I hope I'm clear, I'm not english)

Hello everyone, I want to establish communication between my Arduino and my Raspberry Pi via I²C, but I have no idea how to make it work. However, it should work because there are many examples available, although none of them were programmed using Codesys, but rather using Python. My Raspberry Pi will be the master and is supposed to exchange measurement data such as speed and battery capacity with the slave (Arduino). Hallo zusammen Ich möchte meinen Arduino und meinen PI miteinander kommunizieren lassen via I²C doch ich habe keine Ahnung wie das funktionieren soll. Aber es müsste funktionieren da es viele Beispiele dazu gibt jedoch wurde keines der Beispiele mit Codesys programmiert sondern über Python. Mein PI wird der Master sein und soll mit dem Slave (Arduino) Messdaten wie Geschwindigkeit und Akkukapazität und so weiter austauschen. Wenn mir bei meinen Problem jemand weiterhelfen könnte währe ich sehr Dankbar. Hier noch ein Link der Hilfreich sein könnte. I have a project where a single PLC shall control multiple nodes (up to 10 units?) with IO connected through profinet. Ideally each node should be identical however with time I see situations were different setups/configurations will be used. Codesys PLC (GVLs) |Profinet | |--PNIO-node-1--| | | AIO, | | DIO, | | CNT etc. | |--PNIO-node-2--| | | AIO, | | DIO, | | CNT etc. Ideally I think of a configuration through yaml/xml-files (the assignment/linking of the profinet nodes towards GVL-variables in the PLC as well as scaling, channel configration etc.). Would be grateful if someone could suggest library/-ies that can handle the following: - Verify what IO is connected to a device/node. - Hot-swap/assign link for IO towards GVLs, either automatically or through a HMI.

Trying to communicate (from Europe) with/to a unit located in china, the communication seems blocked/stopped. The edge gateway is installed in a linux environment and was possible to link to my Automation server account using the "Automation service tool". However it seems the unit cannot communicate with the Automation server (a Network scan will give the message "Gateway not connected"). (I have tested the eq. setup with units locally which works.) Anyone having experience situation similar to this and if its possible to make this work? Will a VPN be needed possibly? Other tips?

Thank you for the response, The empty softcontainer does not become visible unfortunately, but I think I can get that back to working. I think I'm misunderstanding something. You are pointing to the Softcontainer number and the ticket code, I thought that I needed to fill in the virtual control containers serial code is this a misunderstanding? And if this is indeed the case, how is the link between the server (softcontainer) and the Codesys control docker container made? If I have multiple Codesys docker containers running on the same docker server, how is the correct license distributed to the correct Codesys runtime container?

I have default arguments specified for function block methods but when calling a method, an error is produced requiring me to supply all the arguments despite there being default values. According to the online documentation, under section "Calling a Method" and subsection "argument passing" of the following link: https://content.helpme-codesys.com/en/CODESYS%20Development%20System/_cds_obj_method.html "Passing an argument for an input ... can be omitted ... for which a default or initial value was specified in the declaration..." I have found this to be the case for all Codesys IDEs I've used, 3.5.11, 3.5.16, 3.5.17, 3.5.19. Am I missing something?

I am using Ethercat Master 4.6.0.0 and have use the automatic restart slaves feature. But we found of after the Ethercat communication normal and slave drive power-off and power-on the slave can't reconnect sucess. The PLC Log show the drive was al status "6#34 : Invalid DC Timeout Error" and its was reconnection sucess first but seconced later the drive will show the "16#2C : Fatal Sync error" and then drive will can't reconnection. Other slave are reconnect sucess which was link after the can't reconnect's drive the drive was OMRON R88D-1SN
