If you want to use the Test Manager, I prefer to start all the tests through the scripts of this manager. So open from there the projects, load it and run it. If you also want to use Python scripts to access CODESYS functionality, while executing a Test Manager script, then also start them from the Test Manager commands.

Good day, I am attempting to use a Waveshare AD/DA precision HAT with RPi 4B+, using Codesys Control for Rpi. The waveshare hat uses SPI. I am successfully using the RPi GPIO (inputs and outputs) but do not know how to access the AD/DA channels. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, which CODESYS Version are you using exactly? Either update to 3.5.21.x if you are on 3.5.20.x if not - add a more secure pw. Seems that on adding the login credentials it is mandatory in 4.16.0.0 -to have complianct to password policy seems a bug that the message not occure.

Thanks once again. Right now the codesys virtual control sl docker is using the host ip itself not the docker ip. so the local host edge gateway was able to search the virtual plc. so you are telling me instead of local host edge gateway I should use the edge gateway docker version?

I have installed both the Codesys Control for Linux SL 4.16.0.0 and Target Visu for Linux 4.16.0.0 packages in Codesys 3.5 SP21 Patch2. When I try to add a target visu, it is missing. I have spent hours on this and tried different machines, all behave the same way. Is this a bug?

Change the actual time of your PLC. How to do this sometimes depends on the PLC you use. Please contact the vendor of the PLC to get this information. Or see the following example for using CODESYS date and time functions: https://forge.codesys.com/prj/codesys-example/date-and-time/home/Home/

Hallo Herr Schwellinger, ich habe in Codesys die KNX Datei nach ETS exportiert und in der ETS eingefügt. Leider lässt sich in der ETS nicht die physikalische Adresse zuweisen. Den Programmier Button wird im KNX Stack betätigt, doch leider wird diese nicht quittiert und die physikalische Adresse zugewiesen. Woran kann dies liegen? Anbei habe ich Ihnen der Device Log. Same issue here: Raspberry Pi 4 Model B HW 1.5 Regardless of the image (tried 32bit / 64bit version from Raspberry Pi Imager- all the "standard version") and with all tested Codesys Control versions (4.2.0, 4.8.0, 4.10.0) and regardless if single core / multicore / 64 bit variant.

Hi, I have got a solution. Go to local disk C. (There will be an option View on top. Click View>Show>hidden items.) go to following path:C:\ProgramData\CODESYS\CODESYSControlWinV3x64 there will be one or two files. delete it and run control win again. issue will be resolved.

Hello We started with the new design of Codesys, through a "CODESYS Control Standard S" license. However, after installing the license, connecting, etc. (without any problems), we cannot get the program into the PLC with entries that we have not seen before. Hey, ist es nicht möglich die WagoApp Biblitoheken in zusammenhang mit dem Codesys Control for Win zu nutzen? Wenn ich so eine Bibliothek im Projekt habe, lässt sich das Programm nicht auf das Device Control for Win nicht laden. Entferne ich die Bibliotheke geht es ohne Probleme. Hat damit schon jemand Erfahrung gemacht? Viele Grüße!

Hey, you probably already solved this, But I am posting to anyone coming over this thread with the same issue. Just hold your mouse cursor til black screen pops up. Right click and Left Click Maximize. There Something wrong with how the window minimizes in Codesys. Only happens once in a while. God luck to anyone with the same problem.

I have an idea how to display the time by making a 7 Segment Dysplay in the Visu. But I don't know how to get the actual time into the program. Can anyone help?

I don't know the root cause... But what could help to continue when it seems to hang, is stop the CODESYS (communication) Gateway. Go to the Windows SysTray, find the icon for the Gateway and then stop it and start it again. This will interrupt the connection between CODESYS and your controller.
