Hi Everyone, As we didn't have client for IEC - 104 - only server server is available , so because of that we are trying to make establish the communication between the external simulator as a Client and codesys itself as a server. We are looking for the variable behavior from CODESYS has to change according to the message triggered by the CLIENT (we are using simulator Application like Redisant). We are able to see the log data as the status of triggering the SCS from Client received to the Log data of the codesys device(attached screen shot of it) and in simulator panel we had set the details to trigger the data from Redisant to Codesys. Current Status: The project builds and runs successfully, but I need guidance on how to connect this to an external IEC-104 simulator for testing and visualization by using demo mode.

Hello everyone, I'm encountering an issue in CODESYS regarding writing files to external paths. Despite correctly configuring the placeholder in the CODESYSControl_User.cfg file to allow access to an external folder, CODESYS doesn't seem to write any files, and no errors are reported. The issue on the older versions was absent with no placeholders. I've checked the operating system permissions, and they seem to be in order, but the issue remains. Has anyone faced a similar situation or has any suggestions on how I might resolve this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your support. Hi, I'm using Codesys control for Raspberry Pi in the latest version (4.11.0.0) When I try to install a license with the new application-based licensing, I have an error "returncode 403046401" (using codesys SP18) I updated to codesys SP20, and now I get the following error: "The selected conainer [0]: SN=..., Version=1.18, Chip=0, Rev=0 does not fit to your ticket. Please select a suitable one." The license I'm trying to install is a Codesys Control Basic L license, with a Codesys Visualization L option, according to the needs of my application. What can I do to activate my license ?

Hi everyone, I'm trying to install the CODESYS Control for Raspberry Pi SL package. The computer with CODESYS software is offline for security reasons. So, I downloaded the package on another computer and installed it manually. But this package has dependencies packages: CODESYS.Control SL Extension Package, V4.0.0.0 CODESYS.Control SL Deploy Tool, V4.10.0.0 As I said, the computer with CODESYS is offline. I cannot use the package installer to search for these packages. I did not find them in Codesys Store with another computer. Do you know where to find and download them? Strangely reminds me to my struggles... Want to do something "Elegant", reusable, universal, practical... In CODESYS??? 🙃 First of all, before you get too deep into this: If you could find a way, to make a "universal" log entry object, containing the variable length data itself, you wouldn't be able to store them in an array, or access them like an array, or pass them by value as a type. (please correct me, if I'm wrong, incorrect, or not precise). Because... Basically you can't declare a type with variable memory footprint. This is a very deeply embedded characteristic of CODESYS, and all IEC 61131-3 systems, and it has many reasons behind. And yes, it is a very common trap / mistake, to forget about. So, with a log entry - I guess - it's pretty much the purpose: store data and metadata together, and then handle it in a uniform way. There are ways to handle this, really depends on what is the purpose. For example: 1. Entries with fixed length (Maybe it is not as evil as it looks for the first time. Depends on the situation, but definitely the fastest and easiest code) You can have your base object, with an internal, fixed length string or byte array variable. I would go with a string, and call it _Data.; And then you can make properties, like As_Bool, As_Int, As_Real... In the 'set' accessors, you can do like: pReal := ADR(_Data); // POINTER TO REAL As_Real := pReal^; In the 'get' accessors, evidently: pReal := ADR(_Data); // POINTER TO REAL pReal^ := AS_Real; Or, can use ANY type, if you are not obsessed with variable / property like access: 2. Fixed length, but nicer First, some disadvantage to any values: - You can only assign values with write access. No literals, constants, etc... - Can only be used as input variable of function or function_block - Therefore, stg you could reach: LogEntry.Initialize (stVariable|rVariable|iVariable|xVariable); Just a quick example (it's funny to play with ANY): Be careful it was not tested. If you really want to do entries with variable size In a standard environment, it would be similar to the previous, except you dont have the container variable _Data, just use a pointer, practically _Descr.pValue At Initialize (SET_Value), you have to allocate the memory, would be easy with SysMem.SysMemAlloc - nowadays with SysMem.SysMemAllocData -, and you make sure to release it after use with SysMem.SysMemFreeData... SysMemAlloc was already hidden. The problem with this, that sooner or later your application will totally fragment the dynamic memory, and fail... So should look for some form of dynMaybe MemUtils.MemoryManager (I am not sure what is the status and the future of it). 4. You will end up by a LogEntry Factory ... 5. You could still have a look at this IEC Snippets BTW, Standard Codesys Logger is not a bad choice either. If you are really interested, I share some more code / library.

The connection guide says I need to add a symbol configuration by right-clicking on the application and adding it, but it does not show up in the available objects. Is there something else I have to do to create a symbol configuration object?

Hallo zusammen, seit dem Update des Packages Codesys LB/FBD von Version 4.2.0.0 auf 4.3.0.0 bekomme ich beim compilieren folgende Fehlermeldung (siehe Screenshots). Hat jemand eine Idee was die Ursache sein könnte? Der rechte Baustein ist eigentlich ein FB aber die Instanz wird beim compilieren einfach entfernt. Edit: Wenn ich die Ausführung des rechten Bausteins in einem Execute mache, dann wird fehlerfrei compiliert.

Try to repair Codesys2.3 and need to uninstall and reinstall it. Got this RUNDLL message when uninstall Codesys 2.3: There was a problem starting, the specificed module could not be found. Please refer to attached file. Followed suggestions from Microsoft website and didn't work out. I am using Codesys2.3.9.16. Any help is appreciated.

The new (UTF8) string library is faster and can handle large strings. https://content.helpme-codesys.com/en/CODESYS%20String%20Libraries/_strlib_start_page.html PS, in CODESYS, the maximum string length is not 255 characters. The String functions of the standard library are limited to strings of 255 characters. But you can use other (memory) functions to handle strings larger than 255 characters.

Hi! I tried to start Codesys V3.5 SP11 program and this error message popped up (see attachment). Program worked fine last week. I tried to uninstall and then reinstall the program but it did not help. If I choose Ignore or Retry options the program works expect the UI is missing. Any ideas how to fix this?

(I'm working on 2 raspberry pi ) The same project compiled for 4.8.0.0 runtime with CodeSys 3.5SP20 is working fine on one target, and on the other one, my UAexpert receives the same "BadIdentityTokenInvalid" and none is working on 4.11.0.0 either ... anybody ?
