Hello, I have an EtherNet IP adapter (GoPxL) running with a virtual PLC. I have successfully connected the adapter with green icons next to it. On WireShark I can see the data coming from GoPxL but on CODESYS it shows up as all 0. My firewall is turned off and I have enabled the device to always update variables. I tested my set up with Profinet and I can receive the data. Please let me know if you have any suggestions!

Maybe you have the "Devices" tab open(?), but the "templates" are in the POU pool. You can open it from the menu: View - POUs, or if it is already open, select the POUs tab which is normally next to the Devices tab. All objects which are part of a library are in the POU pool, because they should be device independent (at least most of them).

yes and no ... if you run the license server on the host (to serve licenses to the docker instances / vplcs then there is no runtime which could check the licenses on the host. Therefore you need the CODESYS WBM to activate or check the licenes or you could use in CODESYS IDE the licensemanager ( not the one for the device licenses) but you have the the IP of the license server that he know where to search for the licenses ..tool options i guess to add it, will add a screenshot later.

Device: RPI 3b or 3B+ System: Wheezy Codesys: 3.5.16.2 I got the Log: 2023-12-13T00:38:43Z, 0x00000054, 2,6,11, !!!! Warning: Eventbuffer full for app=<app>Application</app>; an inputevent with the tag <tag>128</tag> has been dropped This log happens aroud 10 times a second. Sometimes the controller stopped working any more. What is the reason for this? I will update this controller soon (I hope so, but in the meantime I should at least know hoe to prevent this issue) Mario

Good morning, mecke96. Exactly the same thing happens to me, although I have not done the part of executing a .py file. It only reads the temperature and the counter, but the other values are zero as in your image "no readings". I have tested the MPU6050 device on an Arduino and it works. Could you tell me if you solved it?

Do you think it is something in this library, that makes it possible to do the configuration in a PRG? https://content.helpme-codesys.com/en/libs/IODrvEtherCATDriver/Current/IoDrvEtherCAT.html#id1 I think the codesys modbus libraries support configuration and connection to modbus slaves without having to add the slave devices in the device tree. Just do it from function blocks inside the program. I was hoping for something similar with EtherCAT.

I am rather new to Codesys and I'm trying to figure out how to get the status of an alarm. This to interlock the start of a device until the alarm has been acknowledged... I am not sure if IAlarm.GetState (METH) can be used for this purpose. Hello, I'm asking for help with installing the license server for Linux SL 4.18.0.0. When I try to install it, I get a message that the WIBUCodeMeter package is missing. I checked the package manager tab to see if the package is installed, and it is - Codemeter 8.40.7120.501. I've checked the CodeMeter Runtime on the target machine, and everything seems to be working fine. One thing caught my eye: the Device Architecture tab says "None" Please help me solve this problem.

Didn't help. I'm just trying to understand why the errors occur. Are they from the poor driver or from the Linux network stack. That's why I wanted to know how the rxerros and lostframes are counted. Because in other places (like ethtool info) there are no any issues. And the Ethercat device works fine. And it also strange that on the second ethernet port with a different HW and driver Ethercat works better, but still time to time gets such errors.

Have the same issue: I'm making a test setup for modbus devices testing and calibration. One is run for every possible address, and it starts with minimal request: if the device is found, it continue to work with it, otherwise it's set to Disabled temporary. Those state machines are running under FOR cycle, and disabled are just skipped. Every instance have its own timer for not running too frequently and a start delay, so the actual requests are separate in time. I also check not for a single error, but have some timer to allow one-two timeouts. The small program disables and re-enables devices temporary (manually, since i could not iterate over MB devices). Use a VAR_INPUT for properties. The reason for the error is that you can't get a reference to a property. Using a VAR_INPUT will copy the property to an input variable.
