the TCA9548a does not work in Codesys. In Pyton this is only queried once and in Codesys cyclically. Of course you can also insert a terminating resistor in each port, then you should have no problems. I'm getting this error on one of my projects. Searching for it I came across this https://www.codesys.com/fileadmin/data/Images/System/Releaseinformation/Patch-Note-CODESYS-Visualization-4300.html which says it was a bug VIS-1394, fixed in Visualization 4.3.0.0. I'm using a previous visu version, what is the cause of this error, and what can be done to work around it?

However, I still cannot install Virtual PLC. I'm currently getting a missing path message: "C:\Program Files\CODESYS 3.5.19.60\CODESYS\CODESYS Virtual Control for Linux SL\Delivery\virtuallinux\VirtualControlAPI.py." It looks as the package: "CODESYS Virtual Control for Linux SL" was not installed. But, there isn't one in CODESYS Store or I'm doing something incorrectly.

Is there a way that I can create a variable in a GVL that I can control with logic but a user can not put a force on this variable. I have looked at the access rights but this seems to only limit editing the GVL or POU. This variable will only be assigned a value in one POU but it will be used throughout many other POUs.

If you use 3.5 SP10, then Git is not supported. SVN will work fine, but with this version you do need a USB key, because software licenses are not supported with this version. Off course you can work without SVN (or Git), but especially if you work with multiple developers on one project, it will save you a lot of time and you can keep track of all changes and improvements much easier. So how much is this worth to you?

All Sensors from the OneWire Master are assigned already to a seperate task with low prio (26) that runs with 1s cycle time. My EtherCat Task is running with Prio 1. It all works fine, until I adjust the CODESYScontrol.cfg or the CODESYScontrol_Usr.cfg files so that it supports a 2nd OneWire Master in the Codeys Runtime. If I change something in this config file and reboot my EtherCat Master stops working.

Solved it! The simple answer was to declare a variable as POINTER TO STRING and assign the GetMessage result to that variable. Then, the ^ operator can be used to extract the message as string.

When you use a string value 0 will be the end terminator. Everything after this will not be in the string. I guess byte 2394 has a value 0.
