Why do you develop things like this? The workflow should be highly dependent on autocomplete, then if that's not super obvious browse to definition and everything is made clear possibly with the checking of a few types. The nature of how things are done makes me think these libraries aren't developed for general use and are actually internal or for partners. The example projects include objects that don't appear in autocomplete and then lead nowhere obvious when browsing. Do you consider developer workflow when creating these libraries? Are some libraries really for public use such as Visu Utils and others not? If so which? It's really hard to tell.

Hi, I'm watching an ifm tutorial on how to setup an industrial controller in CODESYS. I'm using an 'ecomatDisplay43inch_64bit) controller. CODESYS Gateway and PLC are both runngin (systray). However if I click "Scan Network" I can't find my controller. The only thing it finds is a "desktop" it seems (I'm using a Windows 10 on a Mac Book using VMWare, so maybe it has something to do with that?). How can I fix this? Thanks in advance!

Hello @eschwellinger, My project stopped working again. it would appear that this solution didn't resolve the problem perminantely. I deleted my alarm manager and the problem is no longer. When I put back in the Alarm Manager and my alarms the issue returns.

Thanks Edwin. I have reviewed the example and I'm doing basically the same when calling the methods. The recipe files are in the right directory. Everything looks okay but simply it doesn't work. May migrating to Codesys 3.5.20 will solve this?

Hi all! I'm trying to learn PLC Programing. Today I was making a simple PLC program, as you can see. When I compile the program without the visualization, there are no errors. Hi There, I took over a project from a colleague (in GTB) who left the company. When I took over his project, it wouldn't compile because some libraries were missing. I managed to recover quite a few libraries, but I can't find the library that contains the block functions shown in the image. Hello, I'm using Codesys V3.5 SP18 Patch 4. In the ElementCollectionExample Project from Codesys, I test the SimpleQueueExample in a Control Win V3 x64 environment. I try to add a string of 95 characters length to a queue. The default length of strings is defined as 80 characters. In the initialization of a string variable, it is possible to increase the length by the definition of e.g. STRING(1000). But when I write the string defined like this to the queue, only 80 characters are written to it and the rest is missing. I think the default length is still set in the queue definition, so it is necessary to change this, isn't it? Is there any option to increase the default length of strings in the queue? Attached you can find the used project. Thanks in advance. If any information are missing or my description unclear please let me know.

Hi We have picked up an issue OSCAT_BASIC.Scale_r function call not working in the old lad and FBD version 4.60. Gives no output on the function call. When we convert this to LAD2 it works. As can be see by the two screenshot in normal LD not working in LAD2 it works. Please confirm if this is an issue with Oscat or with LAD in 3.5.21sp3, is there an workaround. Regards Shaun

Memory addressing is measured in bytes, with BOOL occupying one byte. BIT is quite unique as it occupies one bit. So, try not to use BIT in the program. You can use the Unpack function to solve your problem.

Hi, i am interested in this thread and have tried a couple of the above examples in to determine remote webvisu access. I am having trouble getting the lastusage variable to refresh during runtime? It seems to only log the last usage at initialisation and that is it? how do i gain ongoing access to the time variable as the code is running? Thankyou.
