In the example project, you can see that a CAN.CANAreaReceiver is used which has an VAR_IN_OUT reference to a RECEIVER_AREA structure. This structure has a dwIdStart and dwIdEnd to filter a range of ID's and process them through the referenced msgProcessor.

Use a VAR_INPUT for properties. The reason for the error is that you can't get a reference to a property. Using a VAR_INPUT will copy the property to an input variable.

That's because the array only contains structures themselves, not references. It doesn't matter that what consists of each struectures unless they are not pointers.

For reference this is fixed by installing the new codesys install with a separate repository folder. Completely resolved. If anyone else sees this. I would like to know why the persistent devices repository folder does not properly retain between installs though.

With reference to the release note for "CODESYS Recipe..." from CoDeSys (https://www.codesys.com/ecosystem/release-lifecycle/releases-updates/recipes/). After updating that software module to v4.6.0.0 on CoDeSys 3.5.21.1 I am no longer able to reproduce the problem.

seit SP19 nur noch im PLcLogic pfad. c:\ProgramData\CODESYS...usw datein schreiben lesen [SysFile] PlaceholderFilePath.1=/tmp, $TMP$ PlaceholderFilePath.2=/media/usb, $USB$ PlaceholderFilePath.2.Volatile=1 Seit der Behebung kann der IEC-Code aus Security-Gründen nur noch auf das Arbeitsverzeichnis PLCLogic zugreifen. Sollte auf Dateien außerhalb dieses Pfades zugegriffen werden müssen, dann können diese per Platzhalter bekannt gemacht werden und sind dann zugreifbar. Darüber hinaus kann weiterhin ForceIecFilePath=0 gesetzt werden, um das bisherige Verhalten wiederherzustellen. Von letzterem raten wir aber dringend ab, da dann der IEC-Code wieder auf das gesamte Filesystem zugreifen kann. Daher sollte beides nur nach einer eingehenden Securitybewertung erfolgen.

Hi! We're using a WAGO PFC200 for several projects towards the energy sector, and recently upgraded to CODESYS V3. We have the "IEC 60870-5-104 Server" package in a test program, and it works well with the package in DEMO mode. However, when we acquired a license for the "IEC 60870-5-104 Server" package and tried to add the license on the PFC200 through the license manager, we get an error (see attached file). It seems like there is no CmContainer on the device, does anyone have an idea on how to fix this? We've also contacted WAGO on this issue a while back with no feedback yet.

If the PLC is equieped with a USB socket it's possible to copy the user management file via IEC code to a USB stick and restore it at the new plc. The file is located there: /PlcLogic/visu/app_visuusermgmtdb.csv I use this to reset the user management to default in case of the customer has changed passwords and lost it.

ditto I'm just getting my codesys wheels on and the modbus stuff is confusing. I am re-platforming an existing PLC application On that platform one could simply tag variables to register numbers and the whole shooting match could be accessed via modbus and typically holding registers and input registers were treated the same way... On codesys I see there is a modbus TCP server Device I/O mapping tab and a Modbus TCP server IEC objects tab I get the sense that one can configure the serving of variables both/either way but am unclear about the optimum/necessary path. Apparently in the IEC Objects tab one can "ADD" something or other - presumeably channels. I have created a preliminary function block but the Select Function Block window shows nothing to select WTH ? I exported the Device mapping and was surprised to see the entire Device IO map - complete with all the bit-mapped holding/input registers!! WTH!!?? Bit-mapped words are strictly a nichey special purpose application. I am targetting making a couple hundred variables available which would turn into hundreds of pages of IO/mapping Is the FUnction Block IEC objects thingy an alternative to that ? I notice that CODESYS shows the tags which the PLC used to specify the register address... are tags used in CODESYS for any specific hard-core purpose ?

Build: CODESYS 3.5 SP19 Patch 1 (64-bit) Host OS: Windows 10 Target: Linux SL I have a project with programs in Structured Text and Ladder Diagram. When I try to use the Find function, it works for the Active Editor; however, when I try to use Find for the Entire Project, I get the error "Object reference not set to the instance of an object." I know what this error means in the context of the program, but I have no idea why the find function is returning this error. The variable I am searching does not matter: it happens with all variables. Any help with this will be greatly appreciated. I generally use the Find function quite often as I am developing and not having it is really slowing me down.

In my projet I use Softmotion. There are several Softmotion axis (type SM_Drive_Virtual). In the Global Variable List I have an array of pointers to the adress of the Axis. Axis : ARRAY[1..iMaxCntAxes] OF POINTER TO AXIS_REF_SM3 := ADR(AX01_Axis), // [1 ADR(AX02_Axis), // [2] This works, but when compiling I get the message : . Hello all, I would like to create a simple which runs directly on Control WinV3 x64 3.5.21.0 For this purpose I created a simple dll myAdder.dll in Cpp // MyAdder.cpp // cl /LD /EHsc MyAdder.cpp /Fe:MyAdder.dll #include <windows.h> extern "C" __declspec(dllexport) int __cdecl CmpMyAdder_Add(int a, int b) { return a + b; } I added the dll in the respective folder. Furthermore I "registred" the dll in the CODESYSControl.cfg. However, when I want to use the library I get the error message: Uresolved reference: *'CMPMYADDERADD' * Can you give me a hint what step I missed or where I need to declare the dll, such that the dll resp. the reference can be resolved. Hello, I am fairly new to the codesys environment. Is there a reference chart that I can look at in order to write special character in a string? The Special characters that I need to inclue inside the string are as follows; Null Bell Carriage Return I have a TCP_Write command that I am sending to an external device. In order for that device to function properly it needs to see the string with the null and bell characters as the header, followed by the desired command, terminated with the carriage return. Any reference sheet or how to write this in the actual string would be greatly appreciated.
