Hi, I want to use two OneWireMaster on a Raspberry Pi5. I'm running Codesys Control for Raspberry Pi 64SL V 4.15.0.0. Under Linux I've configured two GPIOs for 1w bus usage on GPIO4 and GPIO27. Under Linux both masters seem to work fine and I can readout both sensors connected to both GPIOs. The two masters are 'w1_bus_master1' and 'w1_bus_master2'. In Codesys I've configured to OneWireMasters with the corresponding file paths. But in Codesys the 2nd onewiremaster "w1_bus_master2" doesn't work. Status is showing "OnewireMaster : Not running" What am I doing wrong? Does Codesys on Raspberry support multiple OneWireMasters? Any help is appreciated.

I am attempting to place a block and make it an Analog sensor. When I go to change the name like in the instructional video on youtube it does not give me an option to autofill the block with a known configuration. This is a problem I have in Codesys 2.5 and 3.5. Did I mess up the install of the program or need to install a library? I have a project with several buttons and dialogs. Most of the dialogs are opened using the Open Dialog action of the Input configuration of the buttons. Some dialogs are openend using the FbOpenDialogExtended FB of the Visu Utils library and the FbOpenDialogExtended FB is called in the Execute ST-Code action. I am also using the FileOpenSave dialog from Visu Dialogs which requires an OnDialogClosed action to read out. I realized that the OnDialogClosed action which is meant for the FileOpenSave dialog also triggers if a dialog is closed, which was previously openend using the FbOpenDialogExtended FB. Is there a way to detect which dialog was closed last and specify to which dialogs the OnDialogClosed action reacts?

Hello, by searching the forum, I have found an example of batch script that can be used to start codesys projct by temporarily setting env variables. Dear people, I would like to create a TCP server in my PLC program. The TCP server needs to communicate with an external device. I have been searching the internet and found that the libraries Syssocket or CAA NetBaseSrv are two possible solutions to create a TCP server. From what I have read, CAA NetBaseSrv is more user-friendly to implement than the Syssocket variant. However, I am still struggling to actually implement this library. Foremost is my little knowledge about creating a TCP server and how to read/understand each function block, especially the outputs of some blocks and the types, e.g. server has an output CAA.Handle, but I cannot find the explanation of CAA.Handle. I tried to find a good document that can help me understand how to implement a TCP server, but I could not find it. Thank you in advance, George

Hi all, I'm looking to adjust the visualization of the FileOpenSave dialog. Is there a library or visualization file associated with this dialog that can be extracted, customized, and re-imported into the project — similar to how the user management dialogs can be handled? Alternatively, is there a supported way to replace or override the default dialog with a custom one? Also, is it possible to configure the FileOpenSave dialog to use a custom keypad for text input? The rest of the project uses a custom keypad due to readability concerns (the default one is too small), and this inconsistency is now quite noticeable. Hi, I am looking for a good way to update a decice remotely. The devices are distributed worldwide and have normally no connection to the internet. The CODESYS Automation Server can't help here. So I want to update the decices via USB stick. I have written my own code* to update the files that are created with ‘Create boot application’. But sometimes strange things happen: visu elements are present, but are not found the application is no longer registered and therefore no longer starts I have not yet found out why these errors occur. Has anyone had similar problems or found a better way? Is there perhaps a CODESYS library or something else? Many thanks! *the code deletes the directories on the device and copies the new directories from the USB stick while the system is running (goes without saying)

This depends on what you want to achieve with installing the latest version and how you manage your projects and repositories. Maybe you also want to update your device (right click on it to update) or maybe your device is depending on certain versions of libraries (go to the library manager in your project and download the missing libraries). An option is also to first create a projectarchive of the current project you have before you install a new version of CODESYS. Then you can open this projectarchive in the new CODESYS version. Especially if you install the latest version of CODESYS in a Sandbox.

Dear all, I am developing a Web Socket Client in Codesys 3.5 using the Web Socket Client SL library to retrieve data from a third party. Connecting and reading works fine however after 40 seconds the connection gets interrupted by the server due to keepalive ping timeout. After discussion with third party it seems that the Web Socket Client SL library replys to the Ping request of the Web Socket server BUT does not add the "Application data" = 4 bytes in the body of the Pingframe to the Pongframe. Therefor the server does not recognize the Pongframe send by the Web Socket Client SL library and automatically disconnects. Is this a known issue with the libary or am I doing something wrong? Is there a workaround to add the 4 bytes manually to the Pongframe before replying it to the server? Thanks in advance, Roy

HARDWARE: 2× HP EliteDesk 800 G9 SFF Intel Core i7-14700 (20 cores) 16GB RAM, 512GB NVMe SSD Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2024 NIC1: Built-in Intel GbE NIC2: Intel I210-T1 PCIe (NIC team) SOFTWARE: CODESYS Control Win V3 - x64 Version 3.5.22.10 CODESYS SoftRedundancy SL Server 1 IP: 172.10.10.101 (PLC1 — Active) Server 2 IP: 172.10.10.102 (PLC2 — Standby) CURRENT CODESYSControl.cfg: [CmpRedundancy] BootupWaitTime=120000 StandbyWaitTime=12100 SynchronousTimeout=12100 [CmpSchedule] ProcessorLoad.Maximum=80 WatchdogTime=12000 WatchdogTimeoutAction=0 CONFIRMED WORKING: PLC1/PLC2 identification configured via IDE Connection IP configured via IDE AutoSync enabled and written via IDE Normal Active/Standby operation working Server 2 auto-promotes when Server 1 completely fails PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When NIC1 cable is removed from Server 1 — both servers go to standalone mode. Unfortunately, I noticed that I am not using the MQTT client SL, but the AzureMQTTClient from the Azure IoT Hub Client SL library. At first glance, there is no parameter to increase the message size. Does anyone know how to increase this in the library or is it simply not possible here?

I'm not sure what you are trying to do, but getting the CurrentUserGroupID like this will not work, because there could be multiple Visualization Clients and each can have a different user that is logged in. Also when you go online with CODESYS and open an Visualization, this is counted as a client. Probably this is the reason you see it changing. What you can to is "iterate" over all clients and then see which user is logged in on which visualization Client. For this you need to add the Visu Utils library to the project and call the FbIterateClients. Using SDO, I can read the EtherCAT mappings and offsets from various registers like 0x1c12, 0x1c13, etc. When I obtain registers mapped in the PDOs and various offsets, I could technically access directly to the statusword, controlword, etc., if they are mapped. I have noticed that on IoDrvEthercatLib.ETCSlave_Diag I can find pointers to the input and output buffers. However, although the input buffer can be easily read by referring to what has been obtained from the SDOs, it is not possible to write to the output buffer, as it is overwritten in each cycle by the data from the IOMapping task. Is there a way, knowing an instance of IoDrvEthercatLib.ETCSlave_Diag, to obtain the pointer to the first data in the IOMapping? The offsets are identical to those of the PDOs, but obviously the data is a copy. For me, the cleanest thing would be to access the pointers on IOMapping, for DS402a devices to retrieve the key data and point them to internal references. I need to know this as, having developed our own motion library, I would like to simplify the initial setup by eliminating unnecessary and nonsensical mappings that can lead users to unnecessary errors. In the current version that we have been using for years, we have to map everything manually. I would like to pass only the slave reference to the FB_init constructors and eliminate the mapping.

Hi all, I am using CoDeSys V3.5 and a soft controller Win V3x64. I am trying to read a modbus slave via Function Blocks and not via the channels of the hardware tree for the Slave. I created some requests of type ModbusRequest and I notice that I can read Input Registers and Coils but I can not write Holding Registers and Coils. I am using the library IoDrvModbusTCP 4.1.0.0. When i just use a single modbus request with FC06 (or FC16), there is no request sent to the slave and although the xExecute takes its true value from a pulse of 2 seconds duration, I take almost every 3 minutes an error "TCP_COMMUNICATION_ERROR - 16#A5 - TCP Port. error. Request was not sent". My code is ok because if i change the function code for reading registers, everything works fine. Did anyone have this issue in the past? Thank you in advance.

Hello, I am using Codesys sp20p3 and IIoT library 1.11. I am trying to test QoS 1 & 2 and I have some issues. I am using mosquitto as the broker. I am also using some other MQTT clients like Node-Red and TwinCAT. They all work as expected for every QoS levels. I only have issues with Codesys MQTT client. In the Codesys client, if I subscribe to a topic as QoS 1 or 2, and a client publishes to this topic, I receive the message. But if I disconnect the Codesys client from the network and a client publishes to the subscribed topic, when I reconnect Codesys client to the network, I don't receive the messages as expected. Also there does not seem to be an auto-reconnect feature. So I have to manually set the mqttClient.xEnable bit to FALSE then back to TRUE in order to reconnect to the broker, then I also have to set the subscribe.xEnable to FALSE and back to TRUE in order to re-subscribe to the topic, but even then, I don't receive the messages that were published while I was disconnected. What am I doing wrong? I set the cleanSession bit to FALSE and I give my client a clientID. With the TwinCAT MQTT Client, I do the same thing and everything works as expected. It even auto-reconnects to the broker. I would expect Codesys MQTT Client to be as reliable as TwinCAT. Maybe I am doing something wrong? I also noticed that when trying to publish a QoS 1 or 2 message while disconnected from the broker, it does not work. In TwinCAT, I am still able to publish. The messages are stored in the client and published once reconnected to the broker. I would expect to be able to do the same thing in Codesys. Is this all possible? Am I doing something wrong?
