This is a known bug in e!Cockpit. See Release notes of V 1.11: 1 e!Cockpit Release Version 1.11 (2022-07) ATTENTION: If a library that uses asynchronous tasks (e.g. WagoAppConfigTool, WagoAppCloud or function modules such as Dali-Master) is dragged into the project, the simulation cannot be started. It is already sufficient to add the library to the project (an FB does not even have to be instantiated). I guess you are using one of these libraries/modules in your project. We e.G. often use PWM modules, these are also affected.

Hi all, in Alarm management you can latch some variable to show value within the alarm msg. It´s very useful sometime. But I´m wondering whether there is any possibility to represent that value as Text list. It´s quite common in other HMI tools and this is very useful in case of using some ErrorID for detail specification of error. Unfortunately I could not find any way how to do it but I believe that exists :) Thanks a lot. M.

Reopening this thread as I need to make a few images visible depending on the value of a variable. However, in the properties of the image I do not have the option to make the image visible (see attached image). I´m using Codesys V3.5 SP19. However, when I use V3.5 SP17 I have the option to make the images visible. Can someone help me achieve this with V3.5 SP19? EDIT: Fixed. Just had to uncheck Support client animations in the Visualization manger settings

I'm not really sure what you are trying to do, but maybe you are referring to using the CmpCharDevice library? When you "open" the connection to a device, you can pass flags. What helped me is to set the non-blocking flag. Thanks, I will check the PLC Log when the PLC is connected again. I will update my findings here. Since I don't have access to the Linux Panel PC at the moment, I tested inside my development VM with the same Linux OS. I have no issues or delays connecting to the WebVisu using my Linux VM. Two main differences: 1. My host Computer has a faster processor compared to the panel PC. 2. There are no devices connected in my dev environment. I will continue testing when I have connection to the panel PC.

What maybe helps is the Visu Dialog ST demo project: https://store.codesys.com/en/visu-dialog-st.html This has an application IECOpenDialog where dialogs are opened using the VU.FbOpenDialogExtended function blocks. The fbOpenConfigurationDialog call has a reference (interface) to the "close listener" FB of which it's method is automatically called when the dialog is closed. This way you can create specific function blocks for each dialog when it is closed and do what you want with the data that might have been changed.

Hello All! Having a strange issue. When adding a library, I'm unable to search. Each time a window pops up 'creating the search index' and then has 0 results. I have the same behavior when using the library repository and pressing the 'Find' button. I wonder if there is a way to reset or fix this issue? It is making it very difficult to search and find proper libraries to add to my project. Much appreciated.

Hello, I'm using the new Codesys 3.5 SP19 Patch 4 version with CODESYS Control for Raspberry Pi MC SL v4.8. Compared to the Codesys 3.5 SP19 Patch 1 version, the context menu on a Trace object no longer works. So I can no longer run the Downloader Trace command. Hello? I have a problem with datasource... I am trying to connect to a OPCUA server. I create a datasource, but I can not login into it. I need to use login credentials to login... Everything works fine in UAExpert, but in codesys I cant seem to get in properly using the login credentials... I have tried to configure the datasource initializer but seem to keep failing... Do I need to call it somewhere ? Will the find endpoints work with this configured to store my password ? !

Hello @eschwellinger, Why not using one of those 2 folders: C:\ProgramData\CODESYS C:\Users\Public\Documents\CODESYS The main reason is depending on the company and the user right, the end user may not have the access to use those folders. Also having a non version dependent folder may help if the end user uninstall a previous version and forgot all its sample project where in this previous version installation. Thanks.

Hi, yes i did solve it. You have to change the namespace 0 model in the UaModeler. Open the modeler --> Settings --> Edit Settings --> scroll down to the last option "External Model Support" --> Check "Allow replacing built-in..." Now create a new project in the UaModeler. If you have to choose your base models, you can see the option "Find another Opc.Ua.NodeSet2". I have attached the .xml i am using.

I found out what I was doing wrong. I was entering the wrong IP in the gateway. Could anyone help me in clarifying this?

Dear Forum, We are currently making the switch from OPC-DA (Codesys server) to OPC-UA (Running on a Codesys controller). We are using Codesys version 3.5 SP 20. Our Scada system is expecting Boolean's to be represented as a 0/1 (True Boolean) but the OPC-UA server is representing a boolean as False/True This indeed matches the OPC-UA standard, but is there a way to configure the OPC-UA server's boolean representation? Hello, if you enter %t as a "Text" on a rectangle and do not link a variable in "Text variable", it automatically displays the system time. My question is, where do if find a variable, that contains exactly this time? I tried numerous variants using GetLocalDateTime or GetSysTime but I always have to manage timezones myself (which I do not want to do). I only want a variable with the date an time from my windows system, where the visualization is running. Where can I find this variable?

Thanks for the reply, i am using codesys SP16 patch 5 as this is the version that is compatible with my IFM controller. i am accessing the lastusage variable from the VisuStructClientData structure through a pointer. when i log in it lists the time since last log in but does not continually count, it remains a static value which isnt useful. hopefully you can help. Hi, using the ElementCollections Library, why isn't it possible to mutate a value found within a HashTable? From what I understand, the only way to change a value would be to use the RemoveByKey(), followed by AddKeyValuePair(). My goal is to use a Data Structure that works like a Dictionary in Python. The HashTable seems to come close to this, except that the values themselves seem to be immutable... In python, we can mutate a dict easily (see attached picture).

For small project, I would like to use my industrial computer as a PLC + Industrial Computer. Like that I can save the cost of one PLC. That why I am using Codesys on Linux. With the nic it is not working. I already set the IP adress with /etc/network/interfaces. Can it comes from there ? looking to "Control Linux SL" docuemntation it should work with rtu.

Im using a pointer as input for a FB and for convenience I like to use 'referenced' variable internally. I use this setup in methods which works because internal variables are instantiated for each call. In a FB these variables are instantiated and initiated for the first call only. Is there a pragma/attribute available that changes this behaviour to mirror a 'method'-call?

Using Wireshark, I can see that the broker sends the QoS 1 or 2 messages when Codesys MQTT client reconnects but they are just discarded and not acknowledged by Codesys MQTT Client. So the broker holds on to them and tries to send them back to Codesys every time the client reconnects but they are always discarded by Codesys. There really seems to be an issue with QoS 1 & 2 in Codesys. It really does not behaves like it should.

I have used Codesys HMI SL on several projects. Today I turned my PC on to start building another project and received the following error message when I tried to start my device: "CodesysHMI.exe: Start Error One of the following licenses is required: CodeMeter 101597:13 Failure reason: CmContainer Entry not found, Error 200 CodeMeterAct 5000304:13 Failure reasons: CmContainer Entry not found, Error 200" I have tried reloading HMI SL and even updated to the current version with no success. I am using HMI SL version V3.5.20.10. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
