I think more information is needed to help solve the issue. Can you list the exact steps to reproduce the issue? What version of Codesys are you using? Did you add a persistentVars object to your project? I would recommend browsing all instances of the retain variable to see all possible writes to the variable in question.

Thanks for your response! It seems like the VisuElems library has updated functions to the ones you used but apparently these older ones still work, even if I couldn't find them in the library documentation and they are also not suggested automatically by Codesys (when using Ctrl + Space). I've post the Versions in the Attachments. It seems with htop, that there is a very high CPU Load. In the Log I can see nothing, as mentioned above I've to restart the PLC with Power off/on and the log in codesys was deleted. Or what do you mean with plclogger?

I can't answer why it's not resetting, but from the description of g_udiMaxReceiveBufferSize, I would guess the sum of sizes of the mqtt packets received in one cycle exceeded this value. Hi, Got same problem, appeared after 4.3.1.0 update. Prabably problem is in performance. I am using virtual machine, so adding one more core and several GB to RAM still not solved, but atleast did system more stable. Try optimise your main program or set less task interval. We changed the path where the CSV file is. From intern memory of the IPC to a USB key. We still have this error 'INVALID_HANDLE'. We must restart the Codesys runtime to clear it. That is a big problem for us because machine is in production. @eschwellinger What do you mean by "this is a security issue not to read/write in the plc allowed path"

Hey, I am facing the same problem. Basically UA Expert and other programs work fine with the login credentials. But codesys can not use them properly. I can see the server login to it manually but when I download the program and run the datasource never runs... Currently I am facing the same Error ID: 7012 and cant get it running properly.

Hi Sir Kevin. May I know how you came up with this solution. Im a bit confused but I tried to put this. [SysCom] Linux.Devicefile=/dev/ttyRS48 (remember, no 5 at the end!) then set com port in codesys to 6. It also works for me but want to know where did you get this. Thank you.

This is my first time posting in this forum and I am new to codesys. I am a fullstack developer and I am trying to figure out how the following. What would be the best approach to create a own/custom tag browser? Either directly in codesys ide or using a separate custom program (perhaps a winforms application). 1.a. Shall I parse the .project xml file to get a list of all tags in the project? 1b. Shall I use python scripting in codesys ide to get a list of tags? Once one have selected some tags. These tags shall be exposed to a python program which will be acting as a edge computer. It’s fine to be able to import a file. 2a. I found a library called codesys plchandler which (as I understand) acts a rest api server. Is this correct? If so, can I query the api from a custom python script, ie can query what tags exist in project and or read tag values? My research so far. From earlier projects I know that using opc ua would be perfect for this but from my opinion it’s bloating the plc since it’s resource intensive. So opc ua is not an option. Codesys automation server is neat. But I don’t want to rely on some cloud services and subscription based pricing. There seem to be several interesting codesys libraries like mqtt, tcp server and NVL sender which would help me expose plc tags. But all have a common problem. One have to manually write what tags which will be used in these function blocks. I want a similar experience like “selecting” tags in the opc ua or the codesys tracing, ie a tag browser.

I have created an EtherCAT slave code and fixed two slaves (IDs written in the 0xF050 object dictionary). The module IDs are 0x1 and 0x101, respectively. It can be scanned normally in TwinCAT, but when scanning in CODESYS, it reports an error. Why is this happening？text in the second pic means 'device cannot be found in repository'

Have you received any feedback or found any solutions to the load problem. We are running into similar issues, even without codesys running the load avarage is above 1 meaning that it is to busy already without plc code running. Hope you might have some more insight.

At the moment there are some changes on PI OS, which lead to problems with the PI5 an Pi runtime. I would use Arm SL or Arm 64 SL as runtime depending on which OS you have installed. just use the CODESYS Installer and deploy the the Arm runtime.

I would like to create one large JSON string from an array of objects, where each object contains a value. My current approach involves using a for loop and string concatenation, but with 20,000 elements in the array, this method takes almost 7 seconds and negatively affects the PLC scan time. Is there a more efficient way to accomplish this?
