Hi guys, I have been trying to use web browser element in the visualisation to connect with my IP camera. From the past few weeks, I have not been successful of doing it. I thought it would be very easy to just connect to the ip address, but apparantly it is not. I am using WAGO PLC PFC200 and my PC as a webvisu. or else can you guys please advice me on which kind of camera should I use as a CCTV system in my project instead of IP Camera. If you are not using any specific Raspberry Pi functionality, then probably the "universal" Control Linux ARM SL is the approriate runtime to run on the Pi. For the license it doesn't matter which runtime version you choose, because this is not hardware based anymore, but application based. Best is to use the latest version of CODESYS. To determine which license you need, double click on your device, go to the tab License metrics.... Generate the code for your application and see which license you need based on the metrics of your application.

Dear all, does anyone have experience with HTML5 controls recently? CODESYS 3.5.20.30 / Visualization 4.6.0.0 I'd like to create a simple lightweight text editor, with proper multiline handling, cut & paste, scrolling, etc. And it seems to work fine, just have problems with strings longer than 80 bytes.... Declaring a variable sText1 : STRING(8000) and referencing it in the HTML5 Controls corresponding value property works perfectly one way: the code receive the data as a string (See log1)... (Note TypeID 1000...) Also sending back the data (seems to work (See log2) except it doesn't change the value of the bound variable. Probably the issue is with using SendSimpleValue method... Naturally, I could do a workaround, but maybe there is a more standard way to implement this... Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

I am using CODESYS v3.5 SP20 Patch 3 / Control for BeagleboneBlack SL v4.13 and after some time the OPC UA Server crashes. However, Runtime still works without any issues. The events leading up to the OPC server crash are the most suspicious: 1) Mutex deadlock detected - owner thread died, and 2) Runtime received SIGABRT. And it seems very similar with this topic except used versions - issues should be fixed with previous SP's. I can't seem to find any information about these events. Need some pointers in the right direction on how I can fix this problem.

I am trying to add a Softmotion license to my Weintek HMI. The HMI is already licensed for Codesys and I have already purchased a Softmotion license as well. When using the License Manager I get an error saying the licensing info is not available. I am fairly new to working with Codesys so I am at a bit of a loss and there seems very little information online about troubleshooting this specific issue. I have attached the error message below. Hello, I have encountered a very strange and non descriptive error when creating libraries. Basically, when user just create a new CODESYS library, and then just add Text List, save build with no errors and then try to save as compiled library, the following error would be generated: "The library documentation export error" and nothing more, just like shown in the attachment. Of course I have installed package CODESYS Library Documentation Support v 4.6.0.0 I'm Using Codesys 3.5.20 Patch 2 Does anybody have any suggestion about the cause of this error or any advice on how to troubleshoot further?

Hello, I am using Codesys on an industrial pc with a single monitor. I would also like to have a separate vision software running on the PC and would like to display it half screen. When I run the soft PLC the my visualization screen appears full screen, I would like to be able to set the size of the visualization screen so I can display other software on the monitor. Is it possible to set the width/height of the targetVisu? Anyone try something similar? I would like to avoid having to put it on a Virtual Machine. Thank you

Hello. I am using codesys 3.5. I would like to know if it is possible to set a variable to an output without declaring in. I have defined a STRUCT and within this struct I have a Struct for inputs called I and a struct for outputs called O. I have declared a variable of the type of this Struct, I would like to set or alias the value in this variable to an input/output value of an IO block that has a module on the ethernet tree. Is it possible to copy the contents of %IW0 -> STRUCT.I ? The size of both of these is 2 bytes. I understand that I can declare a variable with the input like Input01 AT %IX0.0 : BOOL; However how can I make STRUCT.I.D00 AT %IX0.0? Is this possible? Thanks

I got this working using OPC UA. In the logic application I just added a Symbol Configuration. In the HMI application I added a Data Sources Manager and OPC UA Data Source. The one thing I don't like is the way the tags end up being named in the HMI application. In the logic application I have a program named PLC_PRG. It has a variable named testDINT. In the logic application the name I get for this variable is DeviceSet.CODESYS_Control_Win_V3_x64.Resources.Logic.Programs.PLC_PRG.testDINT. This is very long and looks like it could change if I used this on a different device type. Any ideas how I could get this name shortened down to just PLC_PRG.testDINT like it is on the Logic application?

If you mean you want to shift the Origin or Zero position of your axis, you can try MC_SetPosition and set the position to 0 (if you want to take the current active position and make it the new 0. Adjust this number accordingly if/as needed). This means the servo drive keeps it's current origin position, and Codesys applies an offset to the servo drive position in the logic. You can also use the homing function of your servo drive using MC_Home and have your drive configured to set the current position as origin when it receives a homing command.

I just found this and I am getting a value larger than 16 bit, around 81000 something. I am reading a 5 volt value and I am using level shifters for the i2c bus. This is how I have the channel configured: ADS1115.usiAddress := 16#48; ADS1115.ChannelConfigs[0].Active := TRUE; ADS1115.ChannelConfigs[0].PGA := FSR_6144mV; ADS1115.ChannelConfigs[0].InputMux := Single_0; RawAnalogValue := ADS1115.Channels[0].Value; It looks like every value is a multiple of 3. Any idea where to look to fix this? I think i found what I want to change in UpdateChannels Channels[FChannelNo].Value := INT_TO_REAL(WORD_TO_INT(LValue) * GetFullScaleRange(ChannelConfigs[FChannelNo].PGA)) / 2048.0; I try to edit it but I can't, sorry if this is a basic question, I am new to CODESYS.

However I am dissatisifed by the limiations and looks of generic elements. I would like to create my own components for this specific task (like cyclic buffer with messege boxes or matrix of data structures). How do people develop their own visualisation components in Codesys and how to implement them in a project?

Hello, I'm playing around with a single axis. I've setup scaling and set the drive to move 360 degrees in the commissioning tab. The axis does move 360 degrees, but it moves much slower than the 360 degrees per second that I set for the velocity. It seems to be about 3 times slower (taking about 3 seconds instead of 1). This is despite the set and actual velocity both being displayed as 360. The acceleration, deceleration and jerk are all set to very high values. I'm just running this on my PC, using demo mode (no license purchased yet). I've attached a video showing the problem. Does anyone know what the problem could be? Thanks
