Hey did you update this project from an older version? I had an similair issue recently, and when I updated the Compiler Version in Project Settings the issue was resolved.

I am trying to figure out how to get a JSON payload to properly publish to my MQTT Broker. I am able to generate JSON using the examples from Codesys, but when I send that payload via MQTT there are characters that are extra or not recognized by my MQTT client. Any idea what could be causing it? your are sending as a WSTRING which is UTF16, but your receiver is interpriting as UTF8. Change the receiver to use UTF16, or better change your sender to convert to UTF8. You publish the entire storage space (SIZEOF) Instead of the number of bytes of actual text (StrLenA) try using utf8JsonData : STRING(2000); JSON.Stu.ConvertUTF16toUTF8( ADR(wsJsonData), ADR(utf8JsonData), SIZEOF(utf8JsonData) ); and change your publish to mqttPublish( mqttClient:=mqttClient, pbPayload:=ADR(utf8JsonData), udiPayloadSize:=To_UDINT(JSON.Stu.StrLenA(ADR(utr8JsonData))), wsTopicName:=topic, mQTTPublishProperties:=mqttPublishProperties );

Man, this was a long time ago. I think the problem probably stemmed from not loading the certificates from the client and the server on the server and client respectively in the correct manner. I believe I ended up getting around it just by removing all security on the server. In the end we did not move forward with that architecture so I never had to actually fix it.

After a project is opened and I have done some changes, I want to start the build or code generating process by a python script file. After the build is done I a Windows sound/beep should appear. Anyone has an example or hint how the .py file has to look like? Thanks!

Good afternoon. I am working with a weidmuller uc20-wl2000 controller, using a codesys license. We made a ladder code to control a process, and it works well, but we want some variables to remain stored even when the controller is turned off. We tried to use retain variables, but at the time of loading the program, when we went offline from the controller, the program was deleted, it did not remain in the controller, and in the same way if we turned off the controller. In addition to this, when we tried to program it again, the program would not stay loaded and began to present errors with the opc-ua communication. What could be causing this problem? How can we maintain the values of the variables without damaging the program or affecting the controller? thank you

Hi, On a gantry system with 2 axis i am getting the following error: SMC_DI_FIELDBUS_LOST_SYNCRONICITY This happens random, sometimes it happens every 5 minutes and sometimes no error for 2 hours... The Setup: - Using codesys 3.5 SP20 with all latest libs... - Kontron AL Pi-Tron CM4 with Preempt realtime patch (Raspberry Pi 4) - Codesys runtime 4.11.0.0 (single core) - CODESYS Control for Raspberry Pi SL licensed - Softmotion + CNC + Robotics licensed - 2x Leadshine EL8-EC400 servo drives - Axis group for a 2-axis T-Gantry Ethercat network wiring: Ethercat master softmotion -> Beckhoff EK1100 -> Servo drive #1 -> Servo drive #2 Ethercat Cycle time = 4ms Max Jitter = 140~150 What i have tried so far: - changed the sync offset from 20% to 30% - changed ethercat task priority from 1 to 0 Running tasks: - Ethercat tast: Prio = 0, Interval = 4ms - Main task: Prio = 1, Interval = 8ms - Visu task: Prio = 31, Interval = 100ms - Softmotion planning task: Prio = 15, Freewheeling - 3 other default tasks that were created by AC_Persist Motion fb's are called in the ethercat task... Does anyone have an idea how to fix this? Any help is greatly appreciated!

thank you very much! I found the generate_code methode, but struggled with the primary and active_application. With this expample I will be able to play around. If the code generation takes a minute or more I often switch to other programs and don't notify the process is finished. So now I'll get an alert and will switch back immediately. My next little project will be, to beep different if there are errors and a seperate script to do the download incl. the user management data base without stopping at the dialogs asking for onlinechange/complete download and overwriting an existing database and as goody, play a beep/sound again.
