Hallo liebe Community, im Rahmen einer Studienarbeit gilt es ein OPC-UA-Informationsmodell in eine existierende CODESYS-Steuerung zu implementieren. Dabei sind wir auf die Frage gestoßen welcher Unterschied zwischen den folgenden Objekten besteht: - Symbolkonfiguration (veraltet?) - IEC-Symbolveröffentlichung - Veröffentlichung über zuvor erstelltes Informationsmodell In unserem Verständnis erfüllen alle Objekte die Gleiche Aufgabe nur mit unterschiedlicher Vorgehensweise und Darstellung im OPC-UA-Server. Während durch die Symbolkonfiguration die Variablen und Instanzen über lange und verschachtelte Pfade abgelegt werden, wird durch die IEC-Symbolveröffentlichung ein Ordner im Pfad der Objekte erstellt. Dort sind die Variablen und Instanzen anschließend zu finden. Bei der Verwendung von Informationsmodellen hingegen, werden die Instanzen direkt unter den Objekten abgelegt. Hello everyone, I'm encountering an issue in CODESYS regarding writing files to external paths. Despite correctly configuring the placeholder in the CODESYSControl_User.cfg file to allow access to an external folder, CODESYS doesn't seem to write any files, and no errors are reported. The issue on the older versions was absent with no placeholders. I've checked the operating system permissions, and they seem to be in order, but the issue remains. Has anyone faced a similar situation or has any suggestions on how I might resolve this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your support. Hello Vincent, I don't have 75 channels but it works for me as described above without any problems. There is also a parameter MAX_MODBUS_CHANNELS in the library parameters for the IoDrvModbusTCP module. The default value there is 100. Perhaps you are reaching the limit there? The value can be adjusted accordingly. I assume that this value is not accepted in the input dialogue and therefore the 'fixed' limit value 10 is used.

The simplest way to do this would be to add a bus coupler dedicated to the expansion IO. The EtherCAT network does not fault when modules connected to the expander are not present. In the image below, nothing below the red line is present in the network - with the network working correctly. In your "base" project, simply include all of the possible modules, and then plug them in as you add pumps to the system. I would also highly recommend against the use of direct addressing. There are other methods to accomplish this, including using the "Optional" checkbox for modules and explicitly addressing them. Hallo, die Option CallVisuServicesDirectly=1 verändert das Verhalten leider nicht. In Codesys gibt es noch in den Einstellungen der Webvisu den Eintrag unter Login-Visualisierung. Das Löschen dieses Eintrages ergibt aber auch keine Änderung. Evtl. wird bei der neuen Codesys Version für die Webvisu eine https Verbindung vorausgesetzt. Zu dem Thema bin ich im Thread https://forge.codesys.com/forge/talk/Visualization/thread/5767230df2/ auf die Beschreibung im Installationsverzeichnis unter file:///C:/Program%20Files/CODESYS%203.5.20.0/GatewayPLC/Documentation/WebServerSSL_de.pdf gestoßen. Allerdings gibt es dort Diskrepanzen zwischen der Verzeichnisstruktur auf meinem Gerät und in der Beschreibung. Also werde ich in dieser Richtung weiterforschen. Vielleicht hat noch jemand einen Tip, wie die Webvisu schnell auf https umgestellt werden kann. Vielen Dank!

Okey, thank you! Do you think it is something in this library, that makes it possible to do the configuration in a PRG? https://content.helpme-codesys.com/en/libs/IODrvEtherCATDriver/Current/IoDrvEtherCAT.html#id1 I think the codesys modbus libraries support configuration and connection to modbus slaves without having to add the slave devices in the device tree. Just do it from function blocks inside the program. I was hoping for something similar with EtherCAT.

I am trying to figure out how to get a JSON payload to properly publish to my MQTT Broker. I am able to generate JSON using the examples from Codesys, but when I send that payload via MQTT there are characters that are extra or not recognized by my MQTT client. your are sending as a WSTRING which is UTF16, but your receiver is interpriting as UTF8. Change the receiver to use UTF16, or better change your sender to convert to UTF8. Man, this was a long time ago. I think the problem probably stemmed from not loading the certificates from the client and the server on the server and client respectively in the correct manner. I believe I ended up getting around it just by removing all security on the server. In the end we did not move forward with that architecture so I never had to actually fix it.

We made a ladder code to control a process, and it works well, but we want some variables to remain stored even when the controller is turned off. We tried to use retain variables, but at the time of loading the program, when we went offline from the controller, the program was deleted, it did not remain in the controller, and in the same way if we turned off the controller. In addition to this, when we tried to program it again, the program would not stay loaded and began to present errors with the opc-ua communication. What could be causing this problem?
