Hi everyone, I forgot the Administrator credentials for my local Soft PLC (CODESYS Control Win V3x64) running on CODESYS V3.5 SP22 Patch 2 (Windows 11). When I try to login/connect to the device, it asks for the Device User Management username and password. I checked the CODESYSControl.cfg file, which points the working directory to: Windows.WorkingDirectory=%APPDATA%\CODESYS\CODESYSControlWinV3x64\905D4E32 However, I cannot locate the actual database/credentials files in AppData or ProgramData to clear them, and resetting the runtime directory doesn't seem to clear the authentication prompt. Could anyone please advise the correct steps to completely reset or wipe the User Management credentials for the Control Win V3.5 SP22 runtime? Thank you in advance!

Hello, I am experiencing an intermittent OPC UA server issue on CODESYS Control for Raspberry Pi SL 4.21.0.0. Runtime information: codesyscontrol 4.21.0.0 Raspberry Pi 4 Model B Rev 1.1 - 4Gb OPC UA Server: CmpOPCUAServer 3.5.22.x Server IP: 192.168.0.110 OPC UA endpoint: opc.tcp://192.168.0.110:4840 The main OPC UA client is Node-RED running on 192.168.0.111. This has an active subscription with some tags and also some write functions active. The system normally works correctly for a period, but at some time the OPC UA communication stopped. Node-RED started reconnecting continuously but could not reconnect. I also tried connecting using UaExpert, but UaExpert returned: BadTimeout At the same time, the PLC application itself was still running. Before restarting CODESYS, I captured the TCP connections. The OPC UA server was still listening: tcp 11 0 192.168.0.110:4840 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN However, there were many connections from the Node-RED client stuck in CLOSE_WAIT: 192.168.0.110:4840 192.168.0.111:45008 CLOSE_WAIT 192.168.0.110:4840 192.168.0.111:53678 CLOSE_WAIT 192.168.0.110:4840 192.168.0.111:44032 CLOSE_WAIT 192.168.0.110:4840 192.168.0.111:36612 CLOSE_WAIT 192.168.0.110:4840 192.168.0.111:45012 CLOSE_WAIT 192.168.0.110:4840 192.168.0.111:36592 CLOSE_WAIT ... Some of these sockets also had data remaining in Recv-Q, for example: Recv-Q = 61 Recv-Q = 121 There were roughly 15–20 OPC UA connections in CLOSE_WAIT. Restarting only the CODESYS runtime immediately restored OPC UA communication. After restart: LISTEN 0 10 192.168.0.110:4840 and both Node-RED and UaExpert can connect normally again. There are no obvious OPC UA errors during startup or in log. On RPI 2 I had a memory leak regarding OPCUA so I had to upgrade to RPI4. What can I do in this case? Thank you!

Hello everyone, I am with Codesys SP21 Patch5, there is an "Action" column in the Messages view, located between "Description" and "Project". Does anyone know how this column is supposed to work? I could not find any information about it in the CODESYS documentation: https://content.helpme-codesys.com/en/CODESYS%20Development%20System/_cds_cmd_messages.html I tried using it with Static Analysis Light, for example with the unused variables check, but the Action field remains empty. I initially thought it might provide a quick fix, such as automatically deleting the unused variable, but that does not seem to be the case. I am also developing some IronPython scripts and was wondering whether it is possible to populate this column with a custom action, allowing users to trigger a predefined command directly from the Messages view. Has anyone worked with this feature before or knows if it is exposed through the scripting API?

PLC — XSA-330L, rev. 1.2, drivers — DC5C2 (rev.5) In the task configurator, all tasks are set to simple numbers (11, 13, 41 ms) for convenience. The jitter for EtherCat and SoftMotion tasks is less than the task cycle (2 ms jitter for a 6 ms task). The power supply is sufficient for both the PLC and the motors. The cables are in good condition. Please suggest where to look for the problem. P.S. The PLC uses proprietary Linux and there is no SSH access.

Using Codesys 3.5.21.5. Tried installing both by full .exe file and using codesys installer. Installation requires elevation and completes just fine. However when running Codesys and closing the IDE, options-files are not written: Seems regular users are only given read-access to these files: Running Codesys as admin works as admins have full access. Haven’t been necessary before to run as admin. Don’t think I have the issue on my work-laptop, but have experienced this on a number of other computers. Above screenshots are from my private stationary running Windows 11 Pro: Anyone else experiencing this? Is this by design or a known issue?

For sure you must use LEN(). SIZEOF() means you write a number of bytes based on the size of the variable type. For your STRING this will be 80 characters, but this will write unexpected characters in your file.

Hi ! Ich habe ein GROSSES V2.3 Programm nach V3.5 SP22 konventiert. Ich bekomme es inzwischen fehlerfrei übersetzt, auch nach "Bereinigen". Wenn ich aber "Alles bereinigen" mache, bekomme ich 102 Fehler. ALLE sind in Schrittketten Bausteinen, ich sehe und verstehe aber nicht das Problem. Es sind immer diese 3 Fehler: [FEHLER] XyProgName: SK_XYZ [IPC: SPS-Logik: Application]: C0009: Unerwartetes Token ':' gefunden [FEHLER] XyProgName: SK_XYZ [IPC: SPS-Logik: Application]: C0189: ';' anstatt 'IecSfc' erwartet [FEHLER] XyProgName: SK_XYZ [IPC: SPS-Logik: Application]: C0006: ',, AT oder :' an Stelle von '.' erwartet Ich habe inzwischen viel Phanatise bei den CoDeSys Fehlermeldungen bewiesen aber jetzt bin ich wirklich am Ende... Links im Baum sind dann die Bausteien rot unterkrakelt, die Aktionen sind alle OK. Auf der rechten Seite ist nix rot oder unterstrichen. Es wird immer in die oberste Zeile gesprungen ("PROGRAM") Vielleicht hängt es ja mit den Projekteinstellungen >> "AS" zusammen aber ich blicke es nicht .... Wie gesagt, ohne alles bereinigen kann ich es übersetzen und simulieren. Nach alles bereinigen ist es kaputt. Irgendwelche Ideen? DANKeeee !

Hello, I have a question regarding the Trend and LegendDisplayer visualization elements. As the provided image suggests, I am trending two variables which show the torque of two motors in terms of % of max load. Below the trend element, is the LegendDisplayer element which correctly displays the name of both trends. But also, it displays the actual variable name in parenthesis, which I do not want. Currently, the name is set by entering a description for each variable in the trend recording settings. But I can't seem to find any option to display only this description. Is it possible to only remove the variable name used in the software? I'm using CODESYS 3.5.21.50. Thanks in advance!
