Hi, I'm wondering if it exist a button or a keyboard shortcut (much much better) for "collapse all" the open folder on a codesys project. It would really be nice to have. Also: Are there some options or configuration for set a default zoom for the different editor (or even one global), for example I would like to have 100% on ST, LD editor and have 80% on Visualization Editor; and also have a button to set all the zooms to default, now it seems that every file mantain the one previously set. I'm working with the 3.5.20.10 right now Thanks!

I figured this out on my own with this logic: usually the Serial port on a Raspberry pi is on /dev/ttyUSB0 then you need to set linux.DeviceFile=/dev/ttyUSB in codesys you then must set com port to 1 so i assumed codesys subtracts 1 from the number and adds this to the filename... (in code it would look like this: var comPort : byte := '1'; linuxDevice : string := '/dev/ttyUSB'; filename : string; end_var filename := concat(linuxDevice, (to_string(comPort-1)); filaname then is /dev/ttyUSB0 RevPi uses ttyRS485 as Serial port so you must remove the last number from the name and set the com port to this number +1 i hope this is understandable ;-)

Hi @eschwellinger, I tried this with Modbus COM slaves. I was able to disable them (slave becomes greyed out in the device tree), but the DED.Reconfigure "eError" output shows "NOT_SUPPORTED". After this, when I tried to re-enable the slave, it did not work (device stayed greyed out in the device tree), and the DED.Reconfigure "eError" output also showed "NOT_SUPPORTED". Is there something to do about this, or the device just doesn't support reconfiguration? P.S: I tried this running locally on my computer (not in simulation mode). So of course I was not physically connected to the devices. I have two similar projects, but one of them doesn't have the Modbus_COM devices. I know I can "Exclude from build" the devices for that project, but I would really prefer not to do this if possible. I would prefer to dynamically toggle a configuration variable that would enable or disable the slaves.

Codesys Windows (Main window as well as pop-ups) often appear outside of the viewable are in Windows when using multiple Monitors. This is exacerbated (happens more very often), when working on a notebook with different Monitor setups at different locations (which kind of is standard nowadays). The windows (not even the main Window) can not be recovered using standard short cuts like WIN + Arrow keys, alt + tab etc. The only way we found to recover the windows is by changing the Monitor positions in thew Windows Display Settings and than changing them back EVERY TIME a pop us is displayed. This makes using Codesys close to unbearable. All my colleagues face the same problem and do not have this problem with any other IDE. Please help.

For a long time now, I have used VirtualBox on a Linux Mint host to run the Codesys IDE without any problems. Every day, I put it to good use, and it never fails. Wine is not something to be trifled with. Probably not worth the effort. For Linux PLC developers, Codesys Go might be a game-changer. Very excited to give it a try.

After some more digging I realized that I get an error on the PLC Logger saying PersistenceChannel: 150 (invalid type in data: SimpleLibrary). I can connect with UaExpert but I cannot see my Application or browse my values. What is missing?

Hello everyone, I am using an IFM CR0303 model PLC, which has a tilt sensor and a pressure sensor connected via CANopen. Both sensors are from the same brand (ATEK). I can read data from the tilt sensor without any issues, but I am unable to read data from the pressure sensor. I have added the EDS file in the PLC configuration and adjusted the node-ID settings. When I check with the PCAN-View application, I can see that the selected PDOs are coming through, but the data is not reaching the Codesys side. What could be the issue, and what can I try to resolve it? Can anyone help me?

Hello everyone, I’m currently working on setting up an EtherCAT Master using CODESYS on a Raspberry Pi, and I’ve run into some issues I could use help with. Project Setup: EtherCAT Master: Raspberry Pi with CODESYS Control for Raspberry Pi 64 SL installed EtherCAT Slave: Beckhoff CX5130 with EK1200 coupler I/O Module: EL2008 License Module: EL6070-0033 I’ve installed the required CODESYS packages and the Linux gateway on the Raspberry Pi. In my project, I added the EtherCAT Master with the appropriate port settings and scanned for devices. The CX5130 shows up as a slave, but communication fails—I'm getting error messages and can't access the outputs. Specifically: The EL2008 output module isn’t recognized properly in CODESYS. There’s no option to communicate with it through the CX5130. I’ve tried connecting via both the Raspberry Pi’s built-in Ethernet port and an external network card. I've attached screenshots showing the errors I get in CODESYS and the devices detected via TwinCAT for reference. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance! Hi I am about to configure ALL GPIOs on a Raspberry Pi 3 model B V1.2. It seems that I have limited understanding of why not all the IO’s become available with the corresponding mapped IO’s – the 'dwInUse' contains mapping of the inputs from GPIO0 to GPIO27. But 'dwInputs' are only showing GPIO0 to GPIO8 and GPIO15 as available inputs. I'll be capturing a hex stream over serial into a RasPi and I'd like to convert a group of bytes into a float. I see this is available (https://content.helpme-codesys.com/en/CODESYS%20Development%20System/cdsoperatorrealto.html) but not its inverse (i.e. BYTE_TO_REAL). The packets will be 18 bytes but I'll be selecting 4 byte segments from the middle, swapping byte endianness (i.e. changing 0x51847641 to 0x41768451), and converting to float; I believe they adhere to IEEE 754. Is there a pre-built function for some or all of this, or do I need to follow (https://forge.codesys.com/forge/talk/Engineering/thread/dc5829c7ea/)? Thanks!

Hello, I was wondering if there is a way in codesys to exclude the traces from the search when using the "ctrl+F" window ? That would be nice to improve the search functionnality when looking for a specific variable. Sometimes when I iterate through all occurences with the "find next" button, it opens the trace configuration window. I would expect to be able to close it and go to the next occurence with the "find next" button, but after closing the trace configuration window the search says it has reached the end of the scope (even if in reality there are other occurences of the variable elsewhere). I tried to enable / disable the "search up" checkbox but it's not changing anything. I hope somebody have insight on this, BR

For anyone still experiencing this issue, here’s how I managed to solve it: Symptoms: 1. Sometimes, on the first start of CODESYS Runtime, the modules fail to run. 2. After disconnecting and reconnecting the communication cable, the drive does not start again. 3. MC_Reset cannot clear the fault. Solution (what worked for me): 1. Check the axis communication using the SMC_CheckAxisCommunication function block (FB). 2. If CheckAxisCommunication.eComState of the axis is equal to or higher than SMC_CommunicationState.SMC_COMSTATE_BASE_COM_INITIALIZATION, then 3. Use the SMC3_ReinitDrive function block to reset the drive — and it works. I started a project in codesys for a WAGO 750-8212 PLC and I am working on getting online with the controller. I can log in to the controller and I can see and control all of the fieldbus couplers that I have. I am unable to get the internal bus working. It just says that the bus is not running and when I scan or devices nothing shows up. Am I missing something important in my device tree?
