For the DynamicText error i have finally found a solution. You have to delete some libraries from your project. For me it was the WagoSysIcon library which wanted to reference dynamictexts even though i didn't have any in my project.

Apparently codesys runs fine without User=root for almost everything... That raises the question: What IS the default codesys user ? Is this a recently enforced constraint ? Why does this compile for you and not for me ? There are references to functions / utilities which are used/needed to massage the string references - but I see no specific details... I also notice you specify: Make sure the lib SysProcessImplementation, SysTypes, and CmpErrors is on the project. I don't comprehend why all of the dependent libraries are not automatically referenced, added ? I don't recall seeing anywhere but here that SysProcessImplementation must be included... It just seems odd that the default is to exclude essential libraries, or require alchemical conjuring to assemble all the ingredients for gnat soup ;-) Thanks a lot... Hi everybody, recently I was checking how many time consuming manual tasks I can perform with python scripts through ScriptEngine. I have in the project many devices and currently I export bootprojects for them by right clicking on Application, then go Export -> Bootproject and firmware (SD Card) and then point folder where files should be exported. It's fine if project has few devices, but I have some of them with over 30 devices and manual clicking like that is very time consuming. How can I do it with python script? So far I found "create_boot_application" method from Application object (taken by projects.primary.find('Application', True)) but it only generates .app and .crc file instead of full structure to store on SD card (FIRMWARE, USERDATA, SDCARD.INI, Version, Version.txt.sig). Should I use some method to control user interface? Best regards, Adam

I'm programming an HMI for a machine. I want to log all the parameter's changes (used text field for displaying and changing) for particular User levels. Created a Numpad and want to log oldvalue and Newvalue on 'ok' Button press. To retrieve the oldvalue, i check if the dialogue opened is my Numpad, Then I retrieve the dialogue interface via GetDialogInterface(ADR(myNumpad)) --> numpadData.stVariableValue which contain my oldvalue and save it locally. Problem is sometimes i retrieve the data and sometimes not. Also observed when Numpad Dialogue is Opened, VisuDlgUtil_IsDialogOpen returns False in some cycles.Attached you will find my Project. please let me know what went wrong or if there is a better approach to collect old and New Value of a textfield. I have a test application and use Codesys Control for Rasp Pi SL. I made a mistake and updated device from MSL to MC SL, and now if I try to go online with archived version of the project I gett error message that IDs are different between project device and target device. Of course, I can go online if I changed device in the project from SL to MC SL, but I'm not sure that is correct. So I have two questions: 1. What is the actual difference between MC SL device and standard SL device when it comes to raspberry pi 4? 2. What change I need to do on raspberry pi4 side to change device back from MC SL to SL? thank you very much! I found the generate_code methode, but struggled with the primary and active_application. With this expample I will be able to play around. If the code generation takes a minute or more I often switch to other programs and don't notify the process is finished. So now I'll get an alert and will switch back immediately. My next little project will be, to beep different if there are errors and a seperate script to do the download incl. the user management data base without stopping at the dialogs asking for onlinechange/complete download and overwriting an existing database and as goody, play a beep/sound again.

I just cannot connect through the codesys ide. Can anyone help me before I lose my mind?

Hello everyone, I’m trying to understand if it is this way or I can change it. I’m making a PLC code and visualization screens, the ideia is to operate via webvisu some controls. So i made a code, made some screens and when i try it in my web browser, first it asks me to insert te user and password of the wbm/runtime of the plc (user: admin, password: wago by default), then i can acess my screens but I have to login again with the user and password that i created in the visualization user managment. My question is: is there a way to disable this first login to the visualization screens (webvisu)? Or create another user/password for this first screen? I have a PFC200 and a Edge Controller, both are working the same way. Thanks in advance Thanks

Hello, I am currently using Codesys Control RTE Softmotion V3 to control my servo-drives in CAN, EtherCAT and PROFINET IRT. I am using a PC with Windows 10 with the following boards: - PEAK-CAN PCIe board (for CAN and Softmotion); - Hilscher CifX with firmware 3.X and SysDrv3s driver (for PROFINET IRT); - Realteak standard NIC (for EtherCAT). I would like to switch to Linux (Debian), because this computer is old, slow, and outdated (Windows 11 is far from being compatible with this computer). Before doing this, I would like to be sure of the compatility between my 3 boards and Codesys Control Linux SL. Otherwize, I will stay on Windows 10 and use it in an isolated environnement. An other approach is to split the application into a hard real-time part running in CODESYS and the business logic running in Python asyncio. The business logic part is usually bigger and changes more often. As Python code is pure text, vscode and git are your friends. And the strange thing for me is that if i connect with an older IDE version (where I only have 4.17.0.0 installed) I can see both "CODESYS Control for Linux SL" and "CODESYS Edge Gateway for linux". And that I loose (both presence and possibility to update) the first option (Control SL) if i let the updater install "Control for linux SL" vers. 4.18.0.0 or later. (Note that runtime 4.17.0.0 is installed and it is running and I can login to that system, but no apparent option available to update it to 4.19.0.0). Attached print screen where I connected the "deploy sl tool" to the same system, where the upper (IDE) one has 4.19.0.0 installed, while the lower one has 4.17.0.0 installed..

Hello. I have a task to synchronize the movement of two axes and maintain the distance between them. First axe makes equal steps by trigger using MC_MoveRelative function. The second one is standstill and after another signal should catch up the first one from its position to a specified distance and keep it. I've tried to use MC_Phasing and mostly it works. Second axis catches up the first and starts make step with it. But in one moment this axis can crash into the first and there is no clear connection as to why this is happening. It can work correct for a day or for a week.

I have the following setup: Proxmox PC with a debian 13 VM running CODESYS Control Linux SL and Edge Gateway. Installation method was through the Deploy Control SL and went rather smoothly. In my Device Tab I find the gateway and when scanning my network I also find my runtime. I want to connect and get promted that I should add a user. After setting up the user I get an error saying, that the device is not responding my scanrequest. Deploy Control SL Operation saying everythings up and running. I can confirm that from the terminal on the VM with "systemctl status codesyscontrol" and "systemctl status codesysgateway". I am running out of ideas how to fix that issue. Can anybody help? Hi, so far I have only used one com port - built-in interface in RPi - RS232 (dev/serial0) as COM1 in Codesys, and my CODESYControl_User.cfg have congiuration like below: [SysCom] Linux.Devicefile=/dev/serial portnum := COM.SysCom.SYS_COMPORT1 Actually I added to my Rpi Hat with 2xRS232 (SPI). - /dev/spidev0.0 and /dev/spidev0.1 How I should change my CODESYControl_User.cfg file to use added porta as COM2 and COM3 in Codesys ?

I can see the server login to it manually but when I download the program and run the datasource never runs... Currently I am facing the same Error ID: 7012 and cant get it running properly.

Hi, I just tried the example project with control WIN x64 and for me this is working correct. The only difference is that it is showing 'TabletPortrait' when i hold my smartphone in portrait mode and 'Monitor' when i hold my smartphone in landscape mode. This is because smartphone resolutions have increased i guess... You could check what resoution is detected and change accordingly in IsSmartphone method.

Try to repair Codesys2.3 and need to uninstall and reinstall it. Got this RUNDLL message when uninstall Codesys 2.3: There was a problem starting, the specificed module could not be found. Please refer to attached file. Followed suggestions from Microsoft website and didn't work out. I am using Codesys2.3.9.16. Any help is appreciated.
