We are creating helper function blocks for our VFD(EtherNetIP). How should I set it up so that I can pass the device into and out of the Function Block so that ideally I can access the IO of the device by devicename.channelname. So something like for example we have a VFD with a start bit that is in the ControlWord channel and a SetVelocity that is a channel. And we want to create a Function Block called StartVFD. So I declare something like: FUNCTION_BLOCK StartVFD VAR_IN_OUT device: ioDrvEthernetIP.RemoteAdapter; END_VAR VAR_INPUT velocity : REAL; So in the code it would look something like device.SetVelocity := velocity; device.ControlWord.6 := True; We have a pretty basic eds file for our VFD and can update it if necessary. I am new to this and I have a Beijer X2 Control 7 HMI and in my laptop I have installed codesys v3.5, ix developer and codesys gateway control. I have designed a simple PLC programme and Im trying to connect my PC and Beijer HMI via an ethernet cable and scanit in the codesys software. But when I scan it does not show any device.

I believe it should be available. It may be the case, that your device does not support the alarm configuration. Some smaller PLCs sometimes do not support it. You can try changing to a different device, like a Codesys Control Win, in your project, and see if then allows you to add the alarm configuration.

Hi, I am currently working in BCS-tools (basiscally codesys) and I am trying to run the GN-9386 network adapter in the EtherCAT_master , but when I run the program the Ethercat status shows the error: ''The device is deactivated''. I have working EtherCAT since it can be scanned for slaves, but then I'm stuck getting the information that the device isn't found in the repo. As far as I can see both revisions does however exist in the device repo. Component added in the Configfile. Anyone with some similar experiences?

I initially created a SoftMotion axis for my EtherCAT CoE drive. I wanted to change it to use SoftMotionLight so I deleted the SM node, which left an <empty> node. I created the SML device, but the <empty> node remains. How can I remove that from the tree? </empty></empty>

If you add any device to the CANOpen Manager it will send messages to verify the device is on the network. Do you have the Enable expert settings check box checked in the General tab? have you added any SDOs in the SDOs tab? I avoid using the CANOpen Manager and just use the CAN_Tx and CAN_Rx blocks from the library.

Good morning, I'm using a raspberry pi3 as plc with the runtime 4.9.0.0. My program has many of retrain variables but when an update is performed the retrain variables comes back to default values. Is the a way to backups the retrain variables n a csv file? Is still the way to restore them from the csv? Thank you for helping Luca

Hi We delivered a system with a PFC100 using the CODESYS Control for PFC100 SL runtime a few years back. The system has once been decommissioned and are now to be commissioned again. Back then, there were only single licenses for the runtime. Can I now upgrade the firmware and runtime without purchasing a new license?

Hi, I have an older project which has been running for years. Unfortunately I have to replace current Raspberry. I repplaced it by new rpi 3 with newest 32 bit Raspberry OS. I oredered a new runtime licence. When I try to activate it, the connection to target is interrupted immediatelly after press next button in the last step of instalation.
