Hi there, Is there a way to show the contents of the device log in a visu? So showing the current devicelog content in a visu as similar like an alarmtable. I have searched the help for it but could not any straight answers. Hoping to hear from the community on some tips, workarounds or solutions!

Support should help you "transfer" the license. An alternative is to buy a cm-dongle from the codesys store! You can then (with some help from support where necessary) move the fixed license into the dongle. There are several advantages to the hardware dongle: If you Pi's SD Card dies, your license dies (and you have to contact support or have it backed upped allready). My Pi eats SD card, so I have had this issue before ;-) If you move to newer hardware, you can easily swap out the dongle, just...

I originally wanted no categories. :) hihihihihihi Just joking! I think the component tagging would be more helpful than creating silos. Will help your searching too. A very good idea if everybody tags their post. We must promote tagging posts more! Then we can do away with "silo thinking" faster and organically.

Question Why won't place a "Product News" link in the Hamburger menu button? Saves you a custom built place in the app ... plus the hamburger button is by design available on ALL platforms (browser, mobile and android app).

Ehm, to rephrase it: the Retain mechanism in Codesys will compile but will not work in the standard raspberry pi hardware. This package enables the user to leverage battery backed up hardware sram support in a raspberry pi via the retain mechanisme which will work in combination with this library. The smallest working stable interval for me is T#1msec (see table) Your mileage may vary!

Hi, Thank you! Retain data is normally not supported by the raspberry pi runtime by design of the hardware. Raspberry Pi has to my knowledge never been released with built in SRAM or battery backed up ram or similar. This library focuses purely on realisation of retain data with an mcp7941x RTC Chip with built in SRAM. If you wish to implement a workaround via a textfile, you are free to do so yourself as it is not part of the mcp7941x RTC Chip. With kind regards

Yeah I like the way it has been resolved! It looks good and thoughtful. I hope the snippets area can grow out to a serious curated list of "codesys python"scripts or even bigger pieces of software using scripts! This way we, the community, can easily start/apply/reuse knowhow and hopefully in a later stadium give something back in return (at least I try to ;-) ) Anyway nicely done!

Hi, On point1: Git integration ETA SP16, nice! On point 2: Currently, generating a .pdf output is cumbersome, to say the least, due to frames, latex and python dependencies, etc, etc. This, while generating a .chm file can be generated via a single command. But only if you read the .libdoc documentation carefully, then you can spot that specific command. Maybe documentation has improved over time, I have not checked it since over a year. Anyway, both a themed .chm and a .PDF are high on my bucketlist,...

Another possibility could be to let the cforge executable act as a remote-builder on the system it is installed. Maybe even a platform independent technology suitable for at least Windows and Linux (Mac is debatable for lack of any CODESYS runtimes at this moment). This way the new cForge executable (could still be installed via a .package on windows) bridges the gap between a machine anywhere on the Internet and this web based platform in a secure manner. The executable can interact with any software...

Hi, In version v1.0.0.0 there is no log in the filesystem. You can however, save the internal devicelog to the filesystem if you wish via the export log function. That way you can refernce the log and it's messages while the runtime is offline. From v1.1.0.0 (currently in development) an xunit compatible xml file can be exported which contains the entire log.
