    Hi there

I have too much time now and decided to upgrade firmware and program on my PFC200.
Upgrade firmware process went fine however when I tired to load boot program I got 'Only a limited connection to the device could be established. Therefore programming functions cannot be used.' error.
Later on 'Check whether the CODEDYSY Gateway process was started'
There is Codesys Gateway in my tray but actually Stopped. When I click 'Start Gateway' nothing happening.
I also noticed that in CodeMeter Control Center I have two licences.
    1. Patch protection only
    Status: License activated
    2. 3S-Smart Software Solutions Softlicenses
    Status: Empty License Container
Is this something to do with my e-Cockpit license? I have original activated license from Wago that I got as part of PFC2000 starter kit and it shows Activated in e-Cokpit -> License management.

Ho to enable connection to my PLC that will let me upload program?

I tried connection via serial cable but got he same error.
I'm lost - please help me as my house is in darkness now and kids with wife want to kill me.

    eCockpit version 1.6.1.5, PFC200, firmware 03.03.10(15)

    Thanks
    Adam

I was able to find log from Gateway stored in C:\ProgramData\CODESYS\CODESYSGatewayV3\
Many entries like below if that's any help:
04/09/20 16:21:14: *** Shutdown command from service control manager received...

04/09/20 16:21:16: ERROR: Failed to set current service status [reason: 6]

04/13/20 10:51:28: *** Shutdown command from service control manager received...

04/13/20 10:51:30: ERROR: Failed to set current service status [reason: 6]

    Hi,
for me it is not really clear, are you try to login by eCOCKPIT or CODESYS?
eCOCKPIT has only the TCP Blockdriver enabled to login to the plc/PFC.

If the Gateway does not start you could try to reactivate it by
    C:\ProgramData\CODESYS\CODESYSGatewayV3\

    ServiceControl.exe -r
    GatewayService.exe -r

    and then

    ServiceControl.exe -i
    GatewayService.exe -i

( do this in CLI - started with run as admin)

    BR
    Edwin

PS: You could use eCockpit with the default Runtime which comes with the PFC or you could
use CODESYS V3 and install the store runtime.
If you have purchased eCOCKPIT it might be an option to ask the Wago support.
Usually the give excellent help! ( from my experiance)

      Hi

I use eCOCKPIT and e!RUNTIME is setup as Runtime System on PFC200.

I belive problem is with software on my PC.
I spoke to WAGO support and thay could't help. They checked everything and all looks fine except GatewayService is not running. They provide me with new e-Cockpit installation and asked to reinstall software.

I tried to do what you suggested and I can't find GatewayService.exe on my computer

      I can see ServiceControl.exe in C:\ProgramData\CODESYS\CODESYSGatewayV3\

but from Gateway all I see there is:
      Gateway.cfg
      GatewaySysTray.exe

I wonder where I can get GatewayService.exe from?

Resolved. Reinstalation of eCOCKPIT provided missing file GatewayService.exe.

Thanks for your help and useful pointer.
