this is not easily. From Point of SL-Licenses Codesys didnt provide the informations how to do. We created an own CDS-Component for that Behaviour. This Informations are available for OEM, if you are an OEM you can find the Informations in the RTS-Documentation.

Hi everyone, I use Python Script to generate some POU in Codesys V3.5 SP19 and I would like to limit the "Access Control" to them thanks to the Python command. Is there any commands that allow to edit the "Properties... >> Access Control" of the POU? The other possibility is to set the permissions with "Project >> User Management >> Permissions... >> Project objects >> Modify >> ... >> myPOU", but I did not find the related Python commands. Otherwise, is there a global setting that allows to set the permissions by default? For example, Modify = Denied for everyone user by default. Thank you in advance for your help, Nico

Hi all, in Alarm management you can latch some variable to show value within the alarm msg. It´s very useful sometime. But I´m wondering whether there is any possibility to represent that value as Text list. It´s quite common in other HMI tools and this is very useful in case of using some ErrorID for detail specification of error. Unfortunately I could not find any way how to do it but I believe that exists :) Thanks a lot. M.

Hello, I have a counter that increments an INT value once per minute I want to display this value in Minutes until 60, then Hours/Minutes thereafter on the HMI Codesys V3.5 SP16 I can divide the minutes by 60 to get hours, but then the minutes is still more than 60. Example: a process has run for 350 Minutes. I need to display "5 Hours 50 Minutes" But if it's only been 45 Minutes, I don't want "0 Hours 45 Minutes" , just "45 Minutes"

If yes, how? I defined a TEST integer variable with 300 value. I tried to add this variable to the width record (.TEST or only TEST), but if I saved, the value jumps back to 0. Hello, I am trying to implement a FB to make JSON formatted WSTRING type message using JSON Utilities 1.9.0.0 included in the IIoT library. In my case, I want to set some objects or arrays and set values to them later. Thanks for the response, as I've thought about this problem over the last month I began to suspect this was a problem with not being able to exactly represent .1 as a 32 bit binary number. I think I've found a work around by making the number an integer, then dividing it by 10 and storing that value as a floating point number. There is still an issue with the value not being exact somewhere in the 8th or 9th decimal place, but because I'm incrementing an integer value then dividing it, the error doesn't compound.

Hello, I'm coming from Siemens (TIA) world and currently learning Codesys. I'd like to know if there is an option to add external txt file with ST code for creation of a function block and then use this file as a source file from which FB will be generated? For example, in TIA, there is an option add external source file to the project structure and then use option "Generate blocks from source". This would create a FB. Does Codesys have something similar? This external source file would look like this: FUNCTION_BLOCK Scaling VAR_INPUT x, k, n : REAL; END_VAR VAR_OUTPUT y : REAL; END_VAR VAR END_VAR y := k*x+n; END_FUNCTION_BLOCK

Hallo, wie verhält es sich mit der Demo-Version und Datenübertragung z.B. via CAN-Bus. Der Bus läuft, das Device befindet sich im Zustand "Operational" aber es werden keine Daten von der Soft-SPS empfangen. Ich benutze aktuell eine nicht lizenzierte Version von CoDeSys Control for Linux ARM64SL. Normalerweise sollte die Demo-Version uneingeschränkt laufen - also kann ich davon ausgehen, dass es sich um einen Programmierfehler handelt oder ist die Feldbusfunktion ohne Lizenz doch in irgendeiner Form eingeschränkt verfügbar (außer dem 30 Minuten Limit nach Reboot)?

Hi, we did install the real-time kernel patch on the RPI and also performed the additional optimizations including isolating the cores. Changing the configuration of the planning task e.g. running it on a separate core, changing the cycle times and mode from cyclic to freewheeling did not show any improvements.
