I solved this problem by creating a .pfx file and importing it into the security store under 'Own Certificates'(must have SP18 or newer to import .pfx). I used a gitbash shell to enter the openssl command that created the .pfx file. Once you import the file, in your TLS context, set your 'sUseCaseName' to be the same as the name listed in the 'Information' column of your imported certificate. This did it for me

Hello everyone, I’m trying to understand if it is this way or I can change it. I’m making a PLC code and visualization screens, the ideia is to operate via webvisu some controls. So i made a code, made some screens and when i try it in my web browser, first it asks me to insert te user and password of the wbm/runtime of the plc (user: admin, password: wago by default), then i can acess my screens but I have to login again with the user and password that i created in the visualization user managment. My question is: is there a way to disable this first login to the visualization screens (webvisu)? Or create another user/password for this first screen? I have a PFC200 and a Edge Controller, both are working the same way. Thanks in advance Thanks

For anyone still experiencing this issue, here’s how I managed to solve it: Symptoms: 1. Sometimes, on the first start of CODESYS Runtime, the modules fail to run. 2. After disconnecting and reconnecting the communication cable, the drive does not start again. 3. MC_Reset cannot clear the fault. Solution (what worked for me): 1. Check the axis communication using the SMC_CheckAxisCommunication function block (FB). 2. If CheckAxisCommunication.eComState of the axis is equal to or higher than SMC_CommunicationState.SMC_COMSTATE_BASE_COM_INITIALIZATION, then 3. Use the SMC3_ReinitDrive function block to reset the drive — and it works. Hi everyone, With the latest version of Codesys, it’s now possible to import DBC files directly into the J1939 Manager, which is great. However, I’m trying to achieve the same thing programmatically and can’t find any scripting functions related to import_dbc or any host_parameter that would let me configure PGNs and signal mappings automatically. So far, I’ve managed to add the J1939 Manager and an ECU, and I can pass the DBC database to it, but I’m stuck when it comes to adding the signals. Has anyone figured out if this can be done through scripting? (Attached is an illustration of what I am trying to accomplish programmatically). Thanks in advance.

How should I set it up so that I can pass the device into and out of the Function Block so that ideally I can access the IO of the device by devicename.channelname. So something like for example we have a VFD with a start bit that is in the ControlWord channel and a SetVelocity that is a channel. And we want to create a Function Block called StartVFD. So I declare something like: FUNCTION_BLOCK StartVFD VAR_IN_OUT device: ioDrvEthernetIP.RemoteAdapter; END_VAR VAR_INPUT velocity : REAL; So in the code it would look something like device.SetVelocity := velocity; device.ControlWord.6 := True; We have a pretty basic eds file for our VFD and can update it if necessary. Hi all! I'm trying to learn PLC Programing. Today I was making a simple PLC program, as you can see. When I compile the program without the visualization, there are no errors. However, when I add the visualization and then compile it, I get this error. I don’t know how to solve the problem. I have tried the following solutions: rebooting the PC and updating the software. Unfortunately, the "C0138: No matching 'FB_Init" method found" error is a nightmare for CODESYS V3.5 SP21. I'm not sure if anything has been done about this or if anything will be fixed. I've encountered the same issue many times, and it was only resolved by completely uninstalling SP21, deleting all related files and folders from my computer, and then installing SP19. So, I've given up on using SP21 and switched back to SP19patch7. would be great to have such fucntionality. Sometimes it is not clear for user which elemetns are blocked and which are not - the greyed out eleemtns are not so different for low resolution / low quality screeens. What I have in my mind as well is to have a possibility to detect the visu Element clicked on and get its Access Rights. If it is blocked/deactivated, the dialog can be rised with INFO 'please login first with proper rights'. It is possible now to have a Mose event Handler ( Examples -> EventHandler) and rise the dialog out of ST (Exapmpals -> ST Dialogs). I am struggling still with getting the separate Visu Element under the mouse and its structure info

Hi bertus, I cannot see any problem in the code you posted. Just some ideas: What is the value of D_ANGLE_TOL? - Do you need the assignment bAbort := NOT bDecoder? Does it help to leave it out? Any errors (e.g. SMC_SmoothPath.Error/ErrorID) or PLC log messages? What if you comment out SMC_SmoothMerge and SMC_LimtiDynamics, is corner smoothing still not working? Is bDecode written from a different task (e.g. visu)? Then I would recommend to assign to a local variable (bDecodeLocal := bDecode) and use that for all FBs. Otherwise, FBs might see different values of bDecode in a single cycle, which will cause problems. Regards, Georg

The option to update "Control for Linux SL" is not shown in the "deploy control SL tool", I can see and update the gateway but not the control (3.5.21 SP4). Has the way to update control SL changed? In the process of fault finding I removed the control SL entirely from my target, then I had to revert to version 3.5.21.0 SP 1 to re-install "Control SL 4.17.0.0". So I thought it was just a matter of using SP1 to update also to 4.18.0.0, but after installing the files for 4.18.0.0 in the SP1-version, the behavior was identical to SP4, ie no Control for Linux SL shown in the deploy tool.. See screenshots.

Sorry for being late to the party... so it is not possible to use the webbrowser tool to display external websites in a visu anymore? As it is not possible to simply "adjust the ContentSecurityPolicyIncludeTrustedOrigins setting in the automatically generated webvisu.cfg.json file" as stated in the docs? We need to display data read from a Raspberry Pi (part of our computer network) in our webvisu. We used to do it by entering the Pi's IP address as the URL variable in the webbrowser element but now (I don't know since when, I'm new on the job) "The page’s settings blocked the loading of a resource (frame-src) at 'IP address' because it violates the following directive: “default-src 'self' 'unsafe-inline'”. What are the options for displaying the data?

Aim: To make communicate external publisher to the CODESYS by using MQTT protocol. I'm using the SMC_GroupJog2 block from the SM3_Robotics library for manual movement of an AxisGroup in WCS coordinates. The observed behavior is: When pressing X+, the X-axis starts moving correctly. If I press Y+ during the movement, the block interrupts the current movement and starts a new movement in X and Y. If I release any button, all axes stop, even if another button is still pressed. Example: Pressing X+ → X moves Pressing X+ and Y+ → X stops momentarily and starts XY movement Releasing X+ while holding Y+ → all axes stop The expected behavior would be: to allow simultaneous continuous movement on multiple axes to not interrupt movement when another axis is added or removed. Is there a correct configuration of SMC_GroupJog2 to achieve this behavior, or is there another block more suitable for continuous manual jog in AxisGroup (WCS)?

The problem arises when after too many online changes the area is full. Therefore no more boot project can be generated. Short-term remedy as described in the dialog: Clean and fresh download. Monitor what your current cycle time is (in the Task Configuration when you are online). If this is sometimes close to 200ms, then change your code (e.g. limit the loops, or prevent copying a lot of data between objects). Or just set the Watchdog time (or sensitivity) higher if you don't care that it sometimes takes longer than 200ms. If you want to find out which objects in your application consume the most time, then buy a PDE (Professional Developer Edition) license. With this you get a license for the Profiler. This can help you a lot to find the root cause, because it will create a nice overview of all objects, their calls and the time (percentage) it takes to execute it.

EtherCAT is a point-to-point protocol so it doesn't need a unique MAC address. It would be very useful to set the MAC address to 020000000000, the standard address for this kind of application. (The important bit is the 02 at the start of the address, which means locally-administered MAC.) The stock Windows driver can do this for my i210 card. But the CODESYS CmpEt1000MPD driver cannot. The image shows the setting with the Windows driver. If I set all my customers' cards to this address, then I don't need to deal with this when deploying my application. A simple PowerShell script can be used to set the MAC address once when the NIC is installed and the driver is changed.

Hello, basically the i950 drive support CiA402 Basic and CiA402 Advanced modes. I attached pictures of both mode supported functions. It also support CSP, VL, CSV and CST modes. It seems the homing mode is in CiA402 Advanced mode but how can you not have the homing mode in both modes? It is a vital part of any servo system. If I use the SoftMotion standard demo mode, I can move the servo absolute and relative but cannot home it. But in SoftMotion Light mode, I cannot execute any motion function. But this is my take on your question: When the STO of the slave is triggered, store the current master position (e.g. 225 units) After the reset of the slave error, call MC_SetPosition on the virtual master and reset it to the stored position (225 units) Optionally, before MC_CamIn is restartet, move the slave back to the slave position corresponding to the stored master position. (If you do this, no ramping in will be necessary) Restart MC_CamIn, with absolute master position and absolute slave position. Choose the StartMode that is appropriate for your machine. Hello, I made this configuration, I'm moving the encoder value to SM_Driver_PosControl.in.wActPosition. When I make the absolute movement of my PosControl axis, my physical drive axis rotates perfectly, but I noticed that the movement is not followed by the encoder. That is, if I hold the encoder and keep it in position 0, the PosControl axis makes the absolute movement of 314 mm and stops, which is strange because the encoder is at 0. Theoretically, the PosControl axis should accelerate to try to compensate for the movement error. I haven't yet achieved perfect functionality.

Our campus network is currently configured as a /16, which creates a very large broadcast domain. We observe slow device discovery and long scan times when opening the network view. Hello, I would like to use swipe/pan gestures to scroll a table visualization element (CODESYS 3.5.21.10) ona DSE M810 display. The swipe / pan gesture control works fine, however, I cannot figure out how to reset / navigate to the top of the table again with code. I have tried the Scrolling begin variable, and the visu manager is setting it to FALSE right away but the table doesn't actually scroll back to top. If I check the “Scroll elements with scrollbar” box, then the Scrolling begin variable works perfectly, but now the swipe/pan scrolling no longer works and you have to use the scrollbar. Any assitence you can provide is appreciated. Thanks.
