Post by danwoodlock on Rpi zero w lost license after 4.11 update CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Just adding some info: Today I found this post: https://forge.codesys.com/forge/talk/Runtime/thread/264bd530d4/ followed the steps suggested started with a fresh install of raspbian lite, installed 4.11, and then attempted to import my license update file. I get this when I do: Any help is appreciated.

Post by matthew on Persistence Manager Backup CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Hi @eschwellinger How does the persistent manager files work on v20? I would Like to upgrade my v19 as I'm still having issues. Sometimes if there is a power cut CodeSys won't load the Persistence Manager files and I have to redownload to the PLC and then copy my backup persistent files and then start the application. I hope it's a lot more robust in v20

Post by eschwellinger on License problem gateway CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
most important information are missing: Which CODESYS Version? Which runtime version? Which plc type (manufacturere).. Not all plc manufacturer already support application based licenses. From your pictures I see you have activated 4 axis Motion (which is an applications based license type) does only work on plc's which do support this.

Hi, gseidel. Thank you so much for your advice. I have created a program to preprocess G-code as follows 1.SMC_ReadNCFile2 2.SMC_Interpreter 3.SMC_CheckVelocities Then I put SMC_OUT_QUEUE in SMC_Interpolator. Where should I insert SMC_SmoothMerge and SMC_SmoothPath? Or are there any example link for it ?

Post by phoward131 on Numpad decimal value requires leading zero CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
I have noticed on the standard numpad dialog, if a user enters a purely decimal number (ie '.6'), the numpad will not accept the value but gives no indication. One must type a leading zero (ie '0.6') in order for it to work. Is there a way to correct this so that a user can just type the decimal value?

Post by andrej on Channel timeout CmpChannelMgr CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Hello, I use Codesys RTE 3.5.16.5. If I connect to the PLC I often get the following message: (see printscreen) 1. Channel timeout CMpChannelMgr. 2. Closing connection CmpChannelMgr. Can you tell me, what the meaning of this is? What does the number 1250030,1220020 resp. c400:0a0a:015a:0301 refer to? I could find any information in the online help. Thanks a lot.

A bit of work but maybe possible to make your own driver using "CODESYS Control SL Extension Package". Look at the "ExternalIoDrv" example. It is installed in "C:\Program Files\CODESYS 3.5.20.0\CODESYS\CODESYS Control SL Extension Package" when you install the "CODESYS Control for Linux SL".

Hello, I want to read a CSV file using the CSV Utility SL library, but I encounter an 'invalid_handle' error during initialization. What could be the cause? For my test program see the screenshot. I have purchased a license, and it is also installed on my PLC. Thank you in advance. Best regards, Stefan.

Post by mgengler on Recipe Manager - Not Creating Recipe Files CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Thanks for info... However, I changed the directory to: C:\ProgramData\CODESYS\CODESYSControlWinV3x64\58719825\PlcLogic\Recipes It still displays the content of this folder OK, however still will not write or read files. Is this the PLCLogic area you speak of? I also tried adding this path the the CodesysControl.cfg file. But still can't get it to work. Any additional direction would be appreciated!

Post by gatto on variables between two applications CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Hello, I'm experimenting with two applications. I was able to start stop applications with the CmpApp library. Currently in my test the variables declared in the first application are not visible and writable in the second. I ask if there is the possibility of having variables that are visible both in the first application and in the second.

I have now conducted some tests. The problem occurs when the Python script establishes an OPCUA connection, even if I only establish the connection without reading or writing any data. Is there another way to exchange data between Python and CODESYS without having to put in a lot of effort?

Post by koppit on SysComRead Timeout Parameter CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Im using SysCom ver. 3.5.17.0 and seem to have the same issue on a Raspberry Pi. It's not waiting for the requested number of bytes, no matter if "ulTimeout := SYS_INFINITE" or any other value. The only solution I have found is to stall the program to allow the serial port to recieve the data.
