Hello, In an example scenario like below figure, can the developer in City-A connect to the device in City-B remotely using only "Codesys Automation Server" and "Edge Gateway" with the following structure? If no, what should be done with Automation Server for this remote connection requirement? If yes, how should it be configured for this remote connection requirement? Hi starmaxou, I’m facing the same issue you mentioned with the dependencies for the CODESYS Control for Linux SL installation. I was able to find the manual downloads for the CODESYS Edge Gateway and CodeMeter, but I’m still stuck on the other two dependencies: CODESYS Control SL Extension v4.0.0.0 CODESYS Control SL Deploy Tool v4.10.0.0 Since you’ve encountered the same problem, I’d really appreciate any help or insights you can share on how you were able to resolve it. Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Noob alert! I’m just getting my feet wet with CODESYS. I have a “Hello World” project in the CODESYS IDE. I’m using the Win SoftPLC on the same computer. I’ve added a Communication Manager under the Application node. Under that is “OPC UA Server -> IEC Symbol Publishing 01”. I also added “OPC_UA_Symbols -> Information Model”. I’m not sure I need the second thing. I was grasping at straws. I also set up several dummy symbols in the IEC Symbol Publishing 01 node. In my C# application, I am trying to get an instance of EndpointDescription from CoreClientUtils.SelectEndpoint(“opc.tcp://localhost:1217/Gateway-1”, useSecurity: false, 15000). I wasn’t sure about the “Gateway-1”. I found that in the CODESYS IDE under the project -> Communication Settings. When I execute the previous method call in C#, I get: “BadSecureChannelClosed”. I have no idea what that means. Any pointers to documentation are welcome.

Post by cdutz on Problems connecting to Codesys 4.9.0.0 runtime on my Wago PFC200 ^{CODESYS Forge talk (Post)}
Hi all. I am currently struggling to get my Wago PFC200 running the Codesys Runtime in version 4.9.0.0 working. I am using Codesys V3.5SP19. I updated the PFC200 to the firmware version 04.01.10(23) after having tried the latest version (04.03.03(25) from Wago and not being able to start the runtime. After reading version 23 was needed, I changed to that and at least was able to have it start the codesys runtime. I also installed the "Codesys Control for PFC200 SL 4.9.0.0" plugin for Codesys to install the Codesys runtime in version 4.9.0.0 as well as update the Gateway on the device. While I seem to be able to connect to the gateway on the PLC (the dot is green) and when doing a scan, I do now find my PFC200, which is a huge improvement to before, where with firmware version 25 it just failed to start the runtime and I never found any device when doing a scan. Unfortunately I don't seem to be able to connect to the PLC in codesys. I logged in via SSH and changed the password and I can see that this password is correct as the stuff in the Codesys PFC200 tools tab only works if I use my changed password. And I used those credentials to update the installed Runtime version, which the log claimed to have worked fine. Now whenever I try to connect to the device found in the scan, I get a authentication pop-up with empy device name, device address: 000A. As User I use "root" and as password the password that I changed it to. As a response I just get "Ungültige Benutzerauthentifizierung auf dem Gerät" (Eng. probably something like "Invalid user authentication on the device". What could I be doing wrong? Admittedly I'm a bit lost here :-/ Chris

I have been struggling for over a week to program my rapspberry pi 4 with codesys. I purchased the license. I installed the runtime and the gateway, and I can see the pi in the communication settings. But cannot log in. I have checked the status of the pi with sudo systemctl status codesyscontrol and it is running. I have enabled traffic to and from the pi with iptables and checked the logs and all looks good. I just cannot connect through the codesys ide. Can anyone help me before I lose my mind?

Has anyone tried sending live sensor data from an ESP32 into a CODESYS runtime (for example via MQTT gateway or a Modbus bridge) to trigger PLC logic? I was reading an ESP32 → MQTT tutorial (https://www.theengineeringprojects.com/2021/11/esp32-mqtt.html) that shows how easy it is to publish sensor data from an ESP32, and I’m wondering how practical that is when tying the stream into industrial control software like CODESYS. Hello, Today I am able to test ma industrial computer in my test bench. I am able to do all the configuration throught my VPN, 100% remote. I can see the gateway & the Virtual PLC. Now I would like to do some Modbus TCP Client & Modbus RS485. But I am lost due to docker ! When I go to modbus TCP it only gave me the docker network, but not my eth0 & eth01 When I go to modbus rtu, how can I create the link between Com number & my /dev/ttyRS485 Loic,

Hi! After upgrading all my licensed runtimes to V4.14.0.0 (= RaspberryPi SL, LinuxSL and ControlWin x64 SL) I found out via the logfiles they all defaulted back into DEMO mode while all runtimes have a USB dongle inserted. So, my main question is how I can get the Dongle license detected? I use License Server 4.14.0.0 and Edge Gateway 4.14.0.0 on all platforms Any suggestions are welcome.

HEllo, I need to connect with PLC XV300 , the problem is for me not simple. The PLC have remote control by Tosibox VPN tunel. I can see the screen from PLC, but i also want to se Input and Output the PLC . I try to scan the network by useing tosibox Gateway but its not working. Where i should looking the problem ? DO i need added special library ?
