I have installed both the Codesys Control for Linux SL 4.16.0.0 and Target Visu for Linux 4.16.0.0 packages in Codesys 3.5 SP21 Patch2. When I try to add a target visu, it is missing. I have spent hours on this and tried different machines, all behave the same way. Is this a bug?

Thanks Tim. I would think it somehow is relevant when creating a compiled library, but that may very well not be the case. If I understand you correctly, then the same compiled library created from my source code would work for both 32 bit as well as 64 bit controllers.

For reference, it was just me being unfamiliar with EtherCAT in CoDeSys. Anyone with knowledge who would have opened the ScanResult screenshot would have identified that the preceding EK1100 was the device missing in the library. Bottom line - Do something else for a while and then get back at it with fresh eyes!

Hi All, I finally figured out how to solve it. The only away that I got it to work was to define parity to None on modbus configuration, and now works like a charm. Just for the record I'm using the GPIO port pins (8,10) and a RS485 to ttl shield that you can find online. Thanks all for the support! Regards Ricardo

yocto isn't the part. which architecture you are using? arm, x86, 32bit?, 64bit? normally u can use the deliveral from store and integrate it into yocto. for resolv the dependencies, its best way todo using an recipe and let yocto do prebuildchecks jefore the install-commands

As I see from your logs I think the Timeprovider is not accurate enough in your case. Things to check - at the moment you run it on the same device? (for tesing purpose ok) I would set 127.0.0.0 as IP and set it not really to Core 0 ( many other stuff is there)

for the package you net to install 32bit support(to have the native timprovider availble to deploy) sudo apt-get install libc6:i386 Then native Safeplc and native Safetimeprovider should be available to install. Raspi yes - but there is no official package available till now and you need have a rt_preemt patched kernel on the Pi, then it works like charm

Hello, I have been trying to use the ModbusFB functions so I can put some code into libraries, but it seems to be very slow for me. I have a Modbus device with 100ms registers. I previously setup 10 channels in the 'traditional' Modbus Slave with channels and mappings - and set a cyclic trigger at 100ms - this worked fine. I then tried the ModbusFB example, and setup reading the same 10 blocks of modbus addresses, copying the example and putting all of the requests into an array and triggering the requests sequentially. I timed how long the requests are taking to get round to each one, and it is around 1s 450ms. How do I speed this up to match the cyclic time? Can somebody help me with this? I have problem with the button! This task must be solved using Sequential Function Chart (SFC), IEC 61131-3. TASK Create an SFC program to control a traffic light at an intersection. Description: You will program a traffic light that has three phases: Green, Yellow, and Red. The traffic light must follow these rules: Green light is on for 10 seconds. Yellow light is on for 3 seconds. Red light is on for 10 seconds. If the pedestrian button is pressed, the system must keep the red light on for 20 seconds during the next cycle. After the pedestrian has β€œcrossed,” the system should return to its normal cycle. Basic Steps: Initialization: Start by setting the traffic light to Red. Green Phase: After 10 seconds, switch to Green. Yellow Phase: After 10 seconds in the Green phase, switch to Yellow. Red Phase: After 3 seconds in the Yellow phase, switch back to Red. Loop: Repeat the cycle. Use, for example, lamp symbols in the visualization module to simulate the traffic light. You may also add a simple pedestrian light if desired.

Hello I am using an OpusA3 with version 3.5 SP17 Patch 3 as part of a project. I had no real problem before I encountered a problem that blocked me. The detection of the OpusA3 from Codesys is done correctly. The gateway is well configured and if I ping the gateway or the OpusA3 I receive the response correctly. The problem is that when I try to connect, the Opus screen freezes and a few moments later Codesys displays an error message ("connection to device closed"). I tried to change PC, to update the runtime, to change OpusA3 but the problem remains the same. I'm a little lost knowing that before it worked without problem. I went back to a previous version of the project (where it worked correctly) but the message still appears. Do you have any clues to solve the problem? Sincerely,

Hallo everyone, I am working on new PLC of Weidmueller that uses Codesys SP19. I made the upgrade at the Patch 4 coming from patch 0. Unce made the upgrade everything is working well in the progect except the web visu user menagent. In the new version, when I perfom the login, I cannot use the keyboard of the device; the window where to digit the user name and password opens, the buttons "OK" and "Cancel" work but the system doesn't allow to put input from the device keybord, the mouse behaves as it is an image. If I active the virtual keypad or numpad it works otherwise nothing. I am wondering if it is a bug of the new package or if I must set something else. Thanks in advance, Riccardo.

Goodmorning, I would need to set a control station that can manage a PLC network. In short I need to access to all visu programmed in any PLC of the network (LAN). I was thinking to use a PLC with buttons that call, by mean an IP address, the visu of any PLC. I don't know if it is possible but I saw that there is a RemoteVisuTarget that run CODESYS Control Win V3. Can someone suggest me how to create a remote main control station from a normal PC? Hi, I have a Linux 64Bit system with a Codesys application running on it. It stops after 2hours and a few minutes, which makes me think something is wrong with the installed license. (in my last timing it stopped after 2h4min, on the codesys website it is stated that runtimes without a license stop after 2h) I installed the license via a USB license dongle that I activated on my workstation with the Codesys IDE a while ago. Now the system is shipped at not accessible physically, only remotely via SSH. So is there a way to check the status of the License of the Codesys runtime when it is running on the system? Running the codesyscontrol script with "status" just tells me that it is running, but does not provide any license information. Best regards

I'm struggling with the implementation of the IElement interface (in the ElementCollections library), which I will use to create a SortedList. I created a class (FB) "Device" that implements this interface and that has a "Priority" property that I want to use in order to compare the devices in my implementation of the ElementCompareTo method. Unfortunately, the IElement.ElementCompareTo method needs an IElement as an input, which doesn't know about the "Priority" property of "Device". I tried to define the input itfElement as a Device, but then it doesn't want to compile, because the type in the implementation doesn't match the interface.

Reading between the lines of what you did not specify, it therefore seems to appear that in the programme, at the end of the movement order, there is an order to remove power and switch off the pulse modulation. if this is the case, it is obvious that the motor then remains free. If the position is to be maintained at the end of the movement, the motor current modulator, which on the PLC side is controlled via the MC_Power method, must not be interrupted. Another possibility is that in the motor drive settings, the standstill torque current is set very low or zero and without position monitoring. You have to check this via the servo motor drive.
