Hello, I'm trying to configurate a frame. My goal is to have a frame with the symbol of a component. When I press the symbol a dialog screen of my choosing comes up. What variable should be used in the frame configuration, that I can put in the input configuration of my symbol. so that I can chose which dialog screen comes up on my multiply instances of this frame. I'm using version 3.5.13. Is it possible to handle Recipe Manager in PRG in this environment? Can you give me a simple example? Although it has been confirmed that the functions work on Recipe Manager, they do not work properly when implemented through FB within a simple PRG. I would like to save the current value as a recipe or load the recipe's value as the current value. And I want to save the recipe as a file or load the recipe saved as a file. somebody help me. (TT)

Hi, I tried with another project, using codesys SP20 with the latest visualization installed, I can install the application on my device but it doesn't work I get an exception "invalid license metrics" and the app won't run See attached the metrics in project and allowed by license, and the logs What am I supposed to do ? Everything is in the newest version and the values are lower than allowed and nothing works...

I just try to help. Anyway it is a big difference if a Store SL runtime or an oem plc and licence is used. These licenses need to be activated on plc side - so you have dependencies to the version (CODESYS and Runtime Version) Did you ever ask Epis out for this situation? They should know which license fit to their device. Even they should know if the device is capable for Softmotion and see the requiremnts in the CODESYS store: Runtime 4.9.0.0 - how should this work with Epis 3.5.16.x? Anyway refund is not a problem.

Don't set on SVN. The service phase has started in March 2024 and will be discontinued in 2027. We actually use SVN and have to switch to GIT in the future. As I informed, there is no way of getting a single SVN or GIT licence. I' dont understand, why Codesys forces us customers to pay for an expensive Professional Edition paket from year to year using only one part of it! If you find a way to buy a single licence, let me know.

If you use 3.5 SP10, then Git is not supported. SVN will work fine, but with this version you do need a USB key, because software licenses are not supported with this version. Off course you can work without SVN (or Git), but especially if you work with multiple developers on one project, it will save you a lot of time and you can keep track of all changes and improvements much easier. So how much is this worth to you?

Why will it retain the sum value from the last call? This is how PLC work. Usually variables only get initialized after a download or a reset (i.e. power loss). RETAIN variables are saved in a special kind of RAM and keep their value after a power loss. To initialize variables on every call of your FB use the VAR TEMP block. VAR_TEMP sum : INT; END_VAR

When I select only runtime and communication it is go next step, but then I no have license on in Visualistion section, all of rest of software metric licese is ok(IO, Istances of com et, code size etc.). Hello, what would be the most efficient way to check whether the file exists or not. I don't want to use file.Open function, it seems like rather inefficiet operaton. I considered GetAttribute function, but this function doesn't accept filename (with path) as an input. Basically I need to check first time when program is loaded to the runtime i.e. when application is started for the first time, whether a file exists on the specific location or not.

I see that I am having problems: - UaExpert does not connect. There are many servers but no connection. - I can’t transfer the certificate from quarantine to trusted ones. I'm looking to automatically select a text field element in my visualization. I'm not sure if this is possible, as I don't know how to get the data on specific elements. I am wanting automatic selection of the text field, as I am using a keyboard-input barcode scanner, which should always input the barcode into the text field whenever a barcode is scanned. Does anyone know if this can be done?

It turns out that you can build JSON structures without ever calling the JSONBuilder function block directly. Instead, create a pointer to JSON.JSONData and invoke the necessary methods on its dereference. The parent object has a parent index of -1 (and an index of 0). EVERY other item (including keys, values, empty arrays and sub-objects) created by the setX methods needs the index to increase by 1. Then use the JSONByteArrayWriter FB to generate your JSON string

Hello, I have a counter that increments an INT value once per minute I want to display this value in Minutes until 60, then Hours/Minutes thereafter on the HMI Codesys V3.5 SP16 I can divide the minutes by 60 to get hours, but then the minutes is still more than 60. Example: a process has run for 350 Minutes. I need to display "5 Hours 50 Minutes" But if it's only been 45 Minutes, I don't want "0 Hours 45 Minutes" , just "45 Minutes"

I simply dont understand where the encoder channel A/B suppoded to be mapped when i got to I/O mapping on encoder I get nothing to where to set the channels for the encoder or is there any blocks from a library or how is it that you use an encoder with Codesys it doesn't seem clear at all

Hello I can't find anything to read on the subject so I'll ask here. Up to now, when adding a (for example) Modbus Master, I've selected the version <= the RT version, so if I'm using SP13 Patch 3, I can use a library that doesn't exceed this. I've no idea if this is correct, but it's always worked. Can someone explain the 4.x.x.x libraries that have appeared; are they tied to a RT version? The controller I use is now at SP18Patch60, so should I continue to use 3.5.xxx or change? thanks

Hi, Recently I bought a CR710S controller from IFM. I installed Codesys V3.5 SP11 as recommended and all required packages (including the safety packages and the IOWrapper package). However, I can't even open the project template without getting errors related to libraries failing to load (below in the first print screen). Then, clicking ok appears only 2 errors (second print) and when trying to go to simulation and login I get another 2 different errors (third print). I really appreciate any help anyone can provide, I'm completely stuck on this right now.

Hello New W11 machine. I've tried installing and the 'Codesys installer' appeared, which basically failed. This was the exe from the Store. I've now tried installing with an old copy of SP17, which didn't try and use the Codesys installer, but has hung at the 'Install all packages added to the setup' stage. Has the exe been updated to use the Codesys installer? What is the installer? Do we think it'll work on w11? thanks, Paul

on a raspberry pi delete the folder and its content before licensing. /var/opt/codesys/cmactlicense If you plug this SD card in another raspi ( which has another hw-serial number) you'll get a second empty softcontainer. This could lead to an unlicensed PFC (it could only handle one container) The solution is: To delete the /var/opt/codesys/cmactlicense directory and content of it and then aktivate the lizenz via WibuCmRau file and Lizenzmanager.

Hello, I'm asking for help with installing the license server for Linux SL 4.18.0.0. When I try to install it, I get a message that the WIBUCodeMeter package is missing. I checked the package manager tab to see if the package is installed, and it is - Codemeter 8.40.7120.501. I've checked the CodeMeter Runtime on the target machine, and everything seems to be working fine. One thing caught my eye: the Device Architecture tab says "None" Please help me solve this problem.

Variable for Selected Alarm ID only updates when the visualization is actually configured to send the alarm’s ID back to the control. On some devices/visualization profiles this isn’t enabled by default. Make sure your Alarm Table element has “Send Selected Alarm ID” activated in the visualization properties. you could check this example: https://store.codesys.com/alarm-manager.html Geometry Dash Lite If that option isn’t available in your version, then unfortunately the “Selected Alarm Group” is the only one that updates reliably in older 3.5.x builds.
